Founder of Transworld Institute of Technology in Taiwan: The Divine Performing Arts Is Restructuring Social Morality (Photo)

(Clearwisdom.net) Coinciding with Southern Taiwan's Alishan's cherry blossoming season, the Divine Performing Arts (DPA) of New York presented its last two shows of the Chinese Spectacular in the auditorium at National Chung Cheng University in Chiayi. The audience repeatedly broke out into warm applause during the show. At the end of the performance, the audience stood up and clapped and cheered for several minutes.

Mr. Xu Wenshi, founder of the Transworld Institute of Technology, said that the DPA performance has an encouraging educational function.

The Show Is Inspiring and Very Worthy of Promoting

Mr. Xu Wenzhi, founder of the Transworld Institute of Technology, brought his family to enjoy the show at National Chung Cheng University. He told the reporter, "The DPA performance is high quality art. It demonstrates the Tang Dynasty's culture through music, art, and dance. In the current society of Taiwan, the moral values have reached a dangerous stage. The DPA performance has an encouraging educational function. It is inspiring and very worthy of promoting to more people."

Mr. Xu is a former national policy advisor. After he left the political arena, he went back to school and, after three years, he earned a Doctorate of Economics from Japan's Meiji University. At the age of 67, he became the university's oldest foreign doctoral student in 120 years.

He thinks that the DPA performance is very high quality and that there are very few shows like this in Taiwan. In the future, in Mr. Xu's opinion, Taiwan should invest more in this cultural area. He believes that it would be beneficial for people and helpful to promote social values in a healthy direction.

Restructuring Social Morality, Inspiring People, and Saving Social Values from Collapse

Mr. Xu said to the reporter, "It is hard to express my feeling after seeing this show. First of all, the power of Chinese culture alone is inspiring. Secondly, education needs to start from the foundation on up to the highest level. We need more to invest more in developing culture of this kind. It will promote a positive development, especially in restructuring social morality, inspiring people, and saving social values from collapse. I think this is very effective. I am deeply moved by the show. It was very successful."

Mr. Xu said that he was most impressed by the aspect of belief. "The power at this level is stronger than that of culture." Mr. Xu thought that it was well presented and he was deeply moved.

Regarding the first performance, "Descent of the Celestial Kings," Mr. Xu Wenzhi said, "I felt a rising power of belief in gods from the bottom of my heart. To me, this is good education. This is a learning experience. It helped me grow in a healthy direction. I felt this was beneficial to me."

After the show, Mr. Xu said, "An overseas group from New York promoting Chinese traditional culture is a very precious initiative. I have great admiration for this group."
