(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Huang Wenshan is a lecturer at the Department of Media Management at the Shih Hsin University in Taiwan. She used to be a senior media producer and served as the production director for Hakka Television. March 17, 2008, after watching the Chinese Spectacular of the Divine Performing Arts of New York (DPA), she was deeply moved.

Professor Huang Wenshan loved the show

Ms. Huang smiled and said: "What the Divine Performing Arts has performed on stage was the real and true traditional Chinese dance and the entire Chinese art!"

Professor Huang repeatedly expressed her inner feelings of being awakened: "It seems all the cells in my whole body were called upon. However, the type of feeling was very quiet and peaceful, and very joyful; I felt like I was being washed and purified, as if becoming an entirely new person. Just as the experience of going through a comfortable forest bath."

"Aristotle (the great Greek philosopher) said that, in the field of the arts, tragedy has the function of washing the soul, and purifying the soul. I have often had that feeling watching various dramatic productions. Today I once again experienced what Aristotle mentioned, but the feeling was not from watching a tragedy, but through such a joyful show. I felt my soul was purified, a fresh feeling!"

Ms. Huang Wenshan thinks that the Divine Performing Arts has provided a new spirit and new life to traditional Chinese culture. "Recently we have been talking about creative culture, and cultural innovations, including what the National Palace Museum has proposed that "Old is new" - the old things give new creativity. What I saw here from the Divine Performing Arts performance is a very specific example on that concept. You see live performance on the stage, but you do not feel they are these old things, they transcribed and captured the entire "Divine Arts," as if there is a new bud germinating from it."
