Korea: Congressman Joo Ho Young: "Performance Has Deep Meaning"

(Clearwisdom.net) On March 23, even though it was raining, enthusiastic Korean audiences came to the Suseong Artpia in Daegu to see the long awaited performance of the Divine Performing Arts. Mr. Joo Ho Young, congressman and the spokesman for the Korean president, attended the performance. Mr. Joo said that he felt the deep meaning of the show.

Mr. Joo said there are many similarities among Eastern cultures. But this show also has something different. "This artistic performance brings us pleasure and comfort," said Joo happily.

Mr. Joo was deeply impressed by the "Tang Drums". He smiled: "Friends told me that this show makes people feel pleasant and happy. It is true!"

Talking about the cancellation of the Busan show due to the pressure from the Chinese communist party, Mr. Joo said: "Although I don't know all the details of the incident, I can tell it is not right that something like this has happened!" He emphasized: "I watched the show today. It is not about politics or belief. It is a pure arts show."

The Busan KBS Theater incident occurred about a month ago (around February 24). Before that, during February 22 to 24, the Divine Performing Arts had already held very successful performances in Seoul, the capital of South Korea. According to the original plan, they wanted to perform two days in Busan on the 26th and 27th at the KBS Theater, which is owned by the Korean State-owned KBS TV Station. KBS bowed to the pressure of the Chinese communist party despite the fact that the tickets for the shows were nearly sold out. They canceled the show.

Regardless, the show was a great success in Daegu, and the many other cities it has played around the world.
