A Discussion about "Speculating in the Stock Market"

(Clearwisdom.net) After practicing Falun Dafa, I have experienced dramatic changes in my wisdom. Whenever I come across a problem, it takes me only a few moments to grasp the answer. In clarifying the Fa, this gift has helped me a great deal.

Last year I learned a bit about playing the stock market. Soon after, I was pretty good at it. I did not put forth too much effort, but the prices of the stocks I invested in increased quickly, and I earned a great deal. At the time I was thinking about earning the money to help with Dafa projects. It was the first time I had ever thought about something like this because I am a very solitary person and have never borrowed any money from other Dafa practitioners to help in my work of saving sentient beings. With this thought, I began speculating in the stock market.

Then, a strange thing occurred. None of the stocks I invested in could be sold for one reason or another, and, at the same time, sickness karma set in. It was then I remembered that Master gave a lecture regarding how practitioners aren't supposed to speculate in the stock market. I withdrew from the market. When I started sending forth righteous thoughts, I saw myself flying out of the stock market as a pure, white body in another dimension, crossing through the murky three realms and flying into a beautiful realm away from the three realms. I suddenly enlightened to this: "A living being like me was dwelling in a very dirty place. How could my main consciousness tolerate it!?" This was why my body was being interfered with by sickness karma.

After that brief moment, my heart still hadn't altogether let go of that attachment yet. Last year, I entered the stock market again. I suffered a tremendous loss. Although the prices of the stocks I invested still went up in a bad market, I always failed to trade my stocks for some reason. This time I left the stock market for good, and I burned all the brochures and documents dealing with it.

That night, my body felt really hot, and sweat poured out of me like running water and soaked the blanket. I enlightened to the fact that Master was helping cleanse my body of those attachments to trading stocks! I have to thank Master's boundless mercy. Now, although I haven't altogether let go of my attachments to the stock market, by recalling those two miracles, these attachments have gradually faded.

We may not heed others' sharing and advice regarding playing the stock market. Even if stocks are a part of gambling or investments or just a congenial hobby, when Master says we're not supposed to do it, then we shouldn't take part in it. Take my story as an example. It tells us that the stock market contains a lot of negative force.
