Epoch Times: Divine Performing Arts Plays to Full House in Paris (Photos)


(Clearwisdom.net) At 3:00 p.m. on March 1, Divine Performing Arts presented their second show at the grand Palais des Congrès in Paris. It seemed that the gloominess of the previous day had been cleared away by the first Divine Performing Arts show the day before. It was a clear and sunny day and the air was especially fresh, which seemed to bring more vigor and energy to the second show. The performance elicited thunderous applause from the audience throughout the afternoon. Each time the curtain opened, cheers and applause would break out from the audience. Parisians were deeply moved by the oriental divine arts that haven't been seen for ages.


March 1, at 3:00 pm, the Divine Performing Arts presented their second show at the grand Palais des Congrès in Paris, with a full house of 3,700 people in attendance

The theater can hold 3,700 people. Because more people continued to come hoping see the show during intermission, the theater staff opened additional seats that were closed during the previous show. The entire theatre was full and the atmosphere was exceptionally warm and congenial.

The Divine Performing Arts Orchestra won loud applause from the audience

When the host introduced the conductor of the Divine Performing Arts Orchestra, Mr. Chen Rutang, thunderous applause broke out among the audience. The audience was totally intoxicated with the amazing music played by this orchestra of both Chinese and Western musical instruments. They spoke highly of the orchestra and many made a point to approach the orchestra at the end of the show to express their appreciation.

A French lawyer loves ancient Chinese culture

Lawyer Sam Lebhar was delighted to be interviewed after the show. This was his second time to see the performance since last year. He said, "I really enjoy the show. I love Chinese culture, especially ancient Chinese culture, and ancient music. This is why I have come to watch the show again."

When the reporter asked him to share his feelings about the show, he said excitedly, "I loved all the performances. I cannot say which one is better. They are all very good. There is no difference."

Government tax officers enjoy the singing in particular

It was the first time for two French government tax officers, Renault and Beth-el, to watch a Chinese show. They both work in the French Finance Ministry. Beth-el said, "I really enjoyed the solo singing. They used very traditional singing techniques. From today's show I've learned so much about traditional Chinese culture. I will come and see it again next year."

He then said to the reporter excitedly, "I will get an even better seat next year, so that I can see clearly each of the dance movements. I will certainly come back again and I will tell all my friends to come see the show."

French MP thanks Divine Performing Arts for a wonderful time

French Member of Parliament Etienne Pinte thanked the Chinese Spectacular for the wonderful time he had. He said, "The show is absolutely wonderful. It's incredible. I used to work and live in China. Some of the big screen landscape backdrops reminded me of those days. I remembered Beijing, Xi'an and the 'Bishu Shanzhuang' in Chengde in the old days. I really enjoyed the dances and the grand-scale projections. The costumes are amazing, and the music was very creative. My wife and I have enjoyed a wonderful afternoon."

The Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular has created a stir in France

France is a country that appreciates art. The Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular has created a stir in France, enabling everyone in the audience to experience something wonderful. To them the Chinese Spectacular represents the true oriental culture. They were amazed over the meticulous details, the grandness and magnificence of the show. People were very excited after watching the show. They bought program brochures as souvenirs or had their pictures taken in front of the big poster for the Spectacular.

Paris is the sixth stop on Divine Performing Art's European tour. From Paris, the company will visit Geneva, Vienna and Berlin. Their European tour is scheduled to conclude at the end of April.
