The Closer to the Fa-rectification, the Less We Should Neglect Sending Righteous Thoughts

(Clearwisdom.net) I went to visit other Falun Gong practitioners on the 2nd day of the Chinese New Year. Five of us sent righteous thoughts together. A young practitioner whose celestial eyes are open said we managed to eradicate more than five thousand evil beings. I pondered why, when the number of evil beings is already small, how come there are still so many? I felt a bit downcast. Before we left, I suggested that all of us send righteous thoughts one more time. This time round we sent righteous thoughts for ten minutes. Later on the young practitioner told us what he had seen from his level of cultivation, "This time we eliminated seven thousand rotten ghosts and black hands. There were comparatively less deviated gods; the number of evil beings at various places are about the same, all over the country." I felt sleepy during sending righteous thoughts, and another practitioner also felt sleepy. The young practitioner said this is not external interference but interference from bad elements in our own bodies.

This incident made me awaken. The pace of Fa-rectification is progressing rapidly. We have seen over the last one or two years people's attitude toward Falun Gong becoming better and better. It is much easier than before to clarify the truth to them. Also, the authorities are also not as evil as before. We know from the Fa that this is because the evil elements have been greatly reduced. But it is unexpected that the evil still exists in such huge numbers now. I reassessed my sending righteous thoughts and arrived at the below-stated understanding:

1. We should not slacken our efforts or take sending righteous thoughts less seriously because we think that the evil beings have become less and less. It is wrong to be ambivalent and "do things for the sake of doing." We need to really understand and correct our thinking: Not until the Fa-rectification ends will we stop sending righteous thoughts. Also, each time we send righteous thoughts, we must be doing it well, just as Master has required - with an air of dignity. We must keep our minds clear and our will steadfast. We cannot be muddle-headed and must really make sending righteous thoughts effective.

2. Previously, before I sent righteous thoughts, I did not concentrate on cleaning up the bad elements in the microscopic areas of my body. Thus I could not focus when sending righteous thoughts. (For this point, I also found that fellow practitioners felt sleepy when sending righteous thoughts, and their hands would droop.) I did not deeply feel from my heart that sending righteous thoughts is being responsible to sentient beings, and that eliminating the evil is offering salvation to sentient beings. In the end, every time I sent righteous thoughts I would be muddle-headed and the next time would be the same. How could a Dafa practitioner in the Fa-rectification period be like this? Thus we should properly clean up our own environment before sending righteous thoughts. Then the results will be more effective.

3. Those practitioners who are in areas of persecution where the evil is severe, reflect and think: Did everyone place emphasis on sending righteous thoughts? Was the time of sending righteous thoughts too short? Perhaps if we send righteous thoughts for a longer duration and in greater intensity, the local evil will not be so rampant.

Whether or not a practitioner could take the three things seriously and do them well is actually a reflection of one's diligence and cultivation level. Divine beings are not muddle-headed and irresponsible. Practitioners who are on the path of becoming divine beings should be even better.
