(Clearwisdom.net) The New York Divine Performing Arts (DPA) Company
presented the first Chinese Spectacular show in Kaohsiung, Taiwan on
March 4, 2008. Mr. Lu Yuan-Hua, director of the Tourism and Traffic Bureau of
Kaohsiung County, came to this show because he was very impressed with it last
year. Lu thinks the effectiveness of the backdrop has improved and is more
creative than last year, and the artists have gotten even better. Mr. Lu Yuan-Hua, director of the Tourism and Traffic Bureau of
Kaohsiung County Mr. Lu said, "The DPA has done everything to promote Chinese culture. It
uses Han culture as its main theme and combines other types of art and culture
to add to the variety. This is not easy to do." "The program 'Drummers
of the Tang Court' is the most impressive. It looks like simple drum beating,
but the choreography, the movements, plus the colors of the costumes recreate
the great Tang Dynasty for the audience. It's a wonderful creation and an
artistic breakthrough." Mr. Lu continued, "The background projection helps to blend the scenes
and the characters together and better tell the story. This is where DPA is
different from other groups- it brings together art and divinely-inspired
culture." Mr. Lu concluded by saying, "I want to share this great
experience with people I know. The artists on the stage always have pleasant,
relaxed smiles on their faces, and the other staff members were so warm. I felt
unbelievably comfortable and joyful during the entire show."
