Chinese Doctor in Sweden: Divine Performing Arts Spreads True Chinese Culture
By He Pingrui, Huang Yusheng
(Clearwisdom.net) The Divine Performing Arts performance of the Chinese
Spectacular in Stockholm, Sweden was a great success, and several shows were
sold out despite frigid temperatures. The audience showed its appreciation of
the show with several impromptu ovations. Chinese Doctor Impressed by the True Chinese Culture Performed on Stage Ms. Ma is a respected Doctor of Chinese medicine. She has practiced for more
than 20 years in Sweden. Despite both her children being born in Sweden, she
makes sure that they know the Chinese language, and she bought them many books
about Chinese legends. After coming to understand that the Divine Performing
Arts Company performed true traditional Chinese cultural, she and her two sons
didn't want to miss the show. She hoped that this would help the children learn
more about Chinese culture. Ms. Ma said during the interview that she was deeply touched, "I loved
all of the programs. They are so professional. I could not criticize anything
about this show, including the costumes and colors. The backdrop is one of a
kind. My sons favored the drums and I preferred the songs sung by Mr. Guan
Guimin. I haven't heard him sing for a long time. I was delighted to hear him
today. I also liked the Chinese dances, especially 'Water Sleeves'. It was so
beautiful and reminded me of the Beijing Opera. This is the first time that the
Swede's were treated to such a show." During the show, Ms. Ma explained the meaning of every story to the children.
During the scene 'The Loyalty of Yue Fei', she told the boys that it conveyed
virtues, including loyalty, filial piety, honesty, and kindness. She explained
that the story unfolded when the country was in danger. Yue Fei chose to save
the country instead of pursuing safety in his family home. The two boys listened
very carefully. Ms. Ma was touched deeply by the show's content. She said, while still deep
in thought, "The social mores are at a very low point. The Divine
Performing Arts is purifying peoples' souls. It's not only the pride of us
Chinese. It is also the hope for the Chinese!" She also told her 14
year-old older son that one should be compassionate and tolerant toward others.
And she said she will definitely tell her husband to not miss the show on April
3. Ms. Ma's two sons shared that they enjoyed the show. The older son said that
the show was great and he favored the drums. He said that the drums gave him
energy, "I also learned a lot about Chinese history and gained more
knowledge. I will tell my teachers and classmates and ask them to come and see
the show!" Daycare Teacher, "Truth, Compassion, Tolerance" Will Change My Life Kritingna is a daycare teacher. The director of the school is a Swede. She
said that she felt the show was really good. Therefore she bought tickets for
all of the school employees. Ten teachers came to the show after work. It was
the first time that Kritingna had seen such a show. She said that it was a great
show, and the two scenes about Falun Gong, "The Risen Lotus Flower"
and "The Power of Awareness," especially caught her attention. Kritingna took from her pocket a lotus that she received from the theater
staff and said, "The lotus grows in mud, but is still pure and beautiful. I
think one should carry such quality in ones heart." She now knows that
people in China do not have freedom of belief and cannot practice the faith of
their choice. Going forward she will pay attention to the situation in China. Kritingna said she heard that the Chinese Embassy tried to stop the show. She
said that this is not acceptable in a democratic society. She said she does not
like the staff from the Chinese Embassy, as they always give orders.
"Luckily, they did not succeed," she said. She shared that the three words, "Truth, Compassion, Tolerance,"
will change her life. She said, "I will always remember these three
words." Kritingna said that the Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular is
a wonderful show. "You hear many messages. It makes you think more. And it
gives you what you really want!" She said she plans to buy two tickets as a
birthday gift for her sister and a friend.
