(Clearwisdom.net) Today's report includes incidents of persecution that took place in 20 cities or counties in eight provinces. In this report, twenty-six Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 51 practitioners were illegally arrested.

Mr. Pi Yongli, an employee of Mr. Li Wensheng's privately owned Tianzheng Company, was arrested in a company workshop on March 13, 2008. Practitioners Mr. Li and his wife were arrested the morning of March 25, 2007. Police also arrested other employees including Ms. Chen Shumei and Mr. Pan Yufeng. The company could no longer conduct business as usual and suffered a big loss.

After Chaoyang City Police Department deputy chief Zhang Minghua tortured Ms. Chen Baofeng to death, he continued the mistreatment.

Personnel from the Shulan City Police Department's Domestic Security Division arrested five practitioners in Xin Village at 11:30 a.m. on March 12, 2008. They damaged a Falun Gong truth materials production center and confiscated all materials. The five practitioners included Ms. Lu Yanling, Xiaotian, and Xiaohui, who are currently being held at the city's Nanshan Detention Center.

Personnel from the Shulan City Police Department and from the Beicheng Police Station beat and arrested Mr. Wang Jiazhi from his home. Mr. Wang is currently being held in Nanshan Detention Center.

Guards from the Jiamusi City Prison ordered criminal inmates to torture practitioners. Guard Peng Lin, a No. 3 Ward No. 2 Ward political head, ordered inmate Chen Changfu to torture practitioners. Guard Song Yunlong at the No. 3 Ward, No. 4 Section ordered inmate Zhao Zhiqiang to torture practitioner Mr. Xu Zongrang.

Ms. Liu Xia, 50, is a practitioner from Baishishan Town, Jiaohe City. She was arrested in the summer of 2002 on a business trip to Changchun City, was sentenced to six years in prison, and taken to Heizuizi Women's Prison in Jilin Province.

Her term expired in the spring of 2008, but officials in Heizuizi Women's Prison extended her term, citing the reason as the Beijing Olympic Games.

Personnel from the Dongdaqiao Police Station arrested Ms. Yang on March 8, 2008, for explaining the facts of Falun Gong near the Dongdaqiao area. She is currentlybeing held in Weizigou Detention Center in Changchun City.

Daleng Township Police Station chief Wang Xu and deputy chief Sun Cai in Zhangwu County broke into Mr. Lu Hewen's home at 11:30 a.m. on March 4, 2008. They ransacked the home and confiscated one of Master's pictures. Only Mr. Lu's wife was at home. Mr. Lu went to the police station to request the return of the picture. Wang Xu and Sun Cai told him to ask Cui Haifeng, the Political Security chief in the county's police department. Cui Haifeng refused to honor Mr. Lu's request the morning of March 5, 2008.

Officer Gao Derong from the Political Security Section of the Shuiyang Forest District Police Department and personnel from the district's procuratorate arrested Mr. Shen Jinxiang. The practitioner is from Shuiyang Town, Dongning County. The arrest happened on March 13, 2008. Mr. Shen is currently being held at the police department's detention center.

Ms. Xia Ning and Ms. Li Qin were arrested on March 12, 2008, for explaining the facts about Falun Gong. Several officers from the Chengdong Police Station accompanied Ms. Xia to her home and ransacked the place the afternoon of March 15, 2008.

Ms. Yin Sulian from Xiachangmao Village, Xingcheng City, was arrested from her home on February 25, 2008, and put in the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang City for a one-year term.

Local police arrested 40-year-old Ms. Liu Chunyan from Siping City in 2007. Personnel from the Gongzhuling City 610 Office, from the Political and Judiciary Committee, from the court, and from the procuratorate department secretly sentenced Ms. Liu to seven years in prison. She was put in Heizuizi Women's Prison the end of 2007.

Ms. Liu's family went to visit her on January 29, 2008, but were turned away. They went to visit her again on February 20 and March 5, 2008, but prison guards again denied their visits because Ms. Liu had not given up Falun Gong.

Jinzhou City Police Department chief Wang Lijun ordered officers in the affiliated police station to arrest more than 20 practitioners and ransack their homes on February 25, 2008. Those affected were Ms. Liu Fengmei, Mr. Huang Cheng and his wife Ms. Li Xiuyun, Ms. Zhang Xiulan, Mr. Na Quanjie, Ms. Deng Qiuli, Ms. Guo Yanping, Ms. Duan Jun, Ms. Xiang Ying, Mr. Wang Guiling, Mr. Yin Zhiyou, Mr. Miao Jianguo, Mr. Cui Yaning, Mr. Zhao Yu, Ms. Zhang Qi, Mr. Qu Kai, Ms. Li Fengyun, Mr. Chen Yan, Mr. Feng Guosong, Ms. Ren Guixia and her husband Mr. Zhang, Ms. Wang Ping and her daughter, and Mr. Zhang Xiaohua. They are currently being held at the No. 1 and No. 2 Detention Center in Jinzhou City.

Mr. Wang Xiaomin was sentenced to four years in prison at the Taihe District Court. He was taken to Nanshan Prison in Jinzhou City on February 26, 2008. According to his family, Mr. Wang is extremely weak and vomits everything he eats.

Ms. Ma Shufen from the Yushu City Developmental District was arrested from her home at 10:00 a.m. March 14, 2008. She is currently being held at the city's detention center.

Ms. Chen Guirong, Ms. Gao Yanxia, Ms. Fan Xiuzhen, and Ms. Wang Xufang, who were arrested on February 24, 2008, and are currently being held at the city's detention center.

Ms. Liu Shuchun from Sihe Town and Ms. Su Lixia from Xinli Town have been released.

Personnel from the city's police department extorted a few thousand yuan from Ms. Wu Fenghua and Xiaobai and released them on March 14, 2008. Sixty-year-old Ms. Zhang Yulian has been put in Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp, and Mr. Zhu Zhanshan was sent to Changchun City for a physical examination.

Personnel from the Shulan City Police Department and from the Beicheng Police Station arrested Ms. Lu Yanling and Mr. Tian at noon on March 12, 2008. They confiscated a printer, several boxes of white paper, and other items, worth 10,000 yuan in total. The home of Ms. Lu's neighbor, Mr. Yang, was also ransacked, and Mr. Yang's wife was arrested and taken to Nanshan Detention Center. Police confiscated more than 2,000 pounds of rice from Mr. Yang's home. The rice was eventually returned due to Mr. Yang's persistent requests.

Ms. Lu has led a homeless life since 2003. She suffered a heart attack during her last incarceration. Police released her afterwards because they feared to take the responsibility for her having become ill while in police custody.

Mr. Bai Shaohua and Mr. Yang Hui arrested on February 20, 2008, have been sent to the Beijing Forced Labor Personnel Dispatch Center.

Ms. Pei Hongxia was sentenced to forced labor on January 26, 2001.

Ms. Su Guiying was held in the Beijing Women's Forced Labor Camp between January 29, 2002, and April 28, 2003.

Ms. Pei Hongyan was put in the Beijing Women's Forced Labor Camp on February 2, 2008.

19. [Beijing] Ms. Liu Aizhi Missing

Ms. Liu Aizhi, about 70, lives in Mingguang Village, the Haidian District. She has been missing since March 3, 2008.

Ms. Zhao Shuqin and Ms. Yang Junmei were arrested on January 24, 2008. It was heard recently that Ms. Yang had been sentenced to two years of forced labor and is currently being held in Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp in Beijing. It is unknown where Ms. Zhao is being held.

Ms. Liu Xiuzhen from the Chengyang District in Qingdao City was taken to Jinan City Women's Prison on March 10, 2008. Her family went to visit her on March 10, 2008, but they were not allowed to see her. The family had spent 1,000 yuan on the round trip.

Seven officers from the Laigang 610 Office and from the Yinshan Police Station arrested Mr. Du Zhongyi at 5:00 p.m. on February 27, 2008. They ransacked his home and confiscated some Dafa books and Falun Gong truth clarification materials. Mr. Du was first held for two weeks and then sentenced to one year of forced labor. He is probably being held at the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp.

Police arrested Mr. Cheng Wenxian and disabled Ms. Cheng Peizhen from Boli Town, Qingdao City, on March 12, 2008. Ms. Cheng has been released, but Mr. Cheng is still being held.

Four officers from the Xuanwu Police Station in the Kuiwen District, Weifang City, arrested Ms. Tian Jinzhi from her home at Dianzi Village in the Development District at 10:00 a.m. on March 15, 2008. Police extorted 10,000 yuan from her family and then released her.

Police arrested Ms. Zhang Yufen and Ms. Sun Zhenxiang from Dongjiazhuang Village, Fenggezhuang Town, Laiyang City on March 2, 2008 for distributing Falun Gong truth materials.

Personnel from the Liushan Police Station arrested Mr. Wang Jinxian from Weijia Village, Liushan Town, on March 14, 2008. They ransacked Mr. Wang's home and confiscated an uncertain amount of money to buy a [wild] boar/pig.

Police arrested Mr. Wang Changjiang from his home in Changyi County, Weifang City, on March 4, 2008. They confiscated several Dafa books and a recorder. A few other practitioners including Mr. Dong Zaixiu were recently arrested.

Personnel from the Guangyang District Police Department and Development District Police Department chief Jin Limin arrested Mr. Zhang Lijun, Mr. Liu Junrui, and Mr. Zhang Lizhi before the Chinese New Year. They confiscated Mr. Zhang Lijun's car and other items worth thousands of yuan. They also confiscated Mr. Liu's car, an oil pump, a satellite dish, and tens of thousands of yuan in cash.

It is heard that personnel from the Development District Procuratorate Department will soon hold a trial for Mr. Zhang Lijun and Mr. Liu Junrui.

Personnel from the Langfang City Domestic Security Division arrested 41-year-old Ms. Wang Junping. She is from Daguanzhuang Village in Langfang City. The arrest happened the afternoon of October 14, 2007. After being held at the Weifang City Brainwashing Center for more than 40 days, Ms. Wang was sentenced to one year of forced labor, to be served in Shijiazhuang City Women's Forced Labor Camp.

Personnel from the Duchang County Police Department arrested Ms. Hu Huoying and ransacked her home the morning of February 29, 2008. They confiscated about 300 copies of Falun Gong truth clarification materials. Ms. Hu is currently being held in Jiujiang City.
