Ms. Teng Wenzhi from Pulandian City, Liaoning Province, Illegally Sentenced to Prison

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Teng Wenzhi from Pulandian City, Liaoning Province, was detained in the Pulandian Detention Center for nine months. Recently she was secretly sentenced to a three-year prison term by a Chinese Communist Party court. The guards attempted to send her to Liaoning Women's Prison in Shenyang City. On the way to the prison, Ms. Teng Wenzhi's health suddenly started to deteriorate. The guards were forced to take her back to Pulandian Detention Center.

During the time Ms. Teng Wenzhi has been detained, staff from the CCP law enforcement agency has done many devious thing. They unjustifiably denied Ms. Teng's family their visiting privileges many times. They didn't dare to make the trial public. They didn't directly notify her family when the trial began or reveal who was in charge of the trial. Furthermore, they provided a fake schedule of the trial to her family. On the day when the guards sent Ms. Teng to Shenyang Prison, her family asked to see her. Receptionist Zheng Donghou told the family that she had been taken to the hospital for a physical examination and that their request would not be dealt with until she came back. When her family learned that Ms. Teng had been sent to the prison, they asked her for an explanation. Zheng got very angry and yelled,"Where she is is none of your business! You must wait outside when I tell you to." Then she slammed the window shut.

During her imprisonment, Ms. Teng Wenzhi remained firm in her belief in Falun Dafa and resisted the persecution. She told the other prisoners the truth about Falun Gong. As a result more than 30 prisoners withdrew from the Chinese Communist Party and/or its affiliated organizations. Many prisoners then understood how wonderful Falun Dafa is. Some prisoners became healthy when they found out the truth. Some of them said that they would start anew and become good citizens after they were released. After some prisoners were released they found out more about Falun Dafa and then wanted to begin the practice. During the Chinese Lunar Year, some former prisoners went to the prison to see Ms. Teng. They gave her gifts to express their appreciation.

Ms. Teng Wenzhi's husband, Mr. Song Shidi, was also a Falun Gong practitioner. At the end of December 2007 during his wife's imprisonment, he was forced to leave home to avoid being arrested He passed away during this time.
