Mystery Surrounding the Death of Computer Science Teacher Mr. Xiong Zhengming--Was He Murdered for His Organs?
(Clearwisdom.net) In early December 2007, Falun Gong practitioner Mr.
Xiong Zhengming died suddenly while he was being transferred to Mianyang Forced
Labor Camp. The whole incident is very suspicious. Mr. Xiong Zhengming, 39, was a computer science teacher at Wanyuan City
Professional High School, in Sichuan Province. He started practicing Falun Gong
in 1998. He was healthy both physically and mentally. He worked hard and was
well respected by students and colleagues. In February 2007, Xiong Zhengming was
taken away by Zhao Chenghua, head of the 610 Office, and other
police officers. After this news was exposed, several dozen students from
Wanyuan City Professional High School went to the police station and requested
that Xiong Zhengming be released. Several students among them were also
detained. At around 9:00 a.m. on December 4, 2007, Xiong Zhengming, who had already
been illegally detained for nine months, was suddenly taken by Wanyuan City
National Security head Ye Xudong, Wang Qiang and two other police officers to a
car that was going to Mianyang Forced Labor Camp. Xu Zijian, deputy director of
the police department, was at the scene. According to the witness, Xiong
Zhengming loudly protested. The next day at around 7:00 p.m. (December 5, 2007),
Ye Xudong called Xiong Zhengming's family and said he committed suicide, and
asked them to go to Deyang at once, for the funeral. Xiong Zhengming's family drove the entire night, and arrived at Deyang at
around 5:00 a.m. the next day. Wanyuan City Chinese Communist Party (CCP)
secretary Chen Zhonghua, Politics and Judiciary Committee secretary and others,
were already there. In addition, officers from the Dazhou City Police
Department, the 610 Office, and the National Security Unit, totaling over thirty
people, were there. The secretary of the Political and Judiciary Committee was
coordinating the arrangements. How could the death of an ordinary teacher alert
so many government officials? How did they know about it? When did they arrive
there? Why did they pay so much attention to this? 1. Suspicious Death Questioned by Xiong's family, Ye Xudong changed his story, saying it was a
car accident. But there was no accident scene, no collision record written by
the traffic police, the police car that Xiong Zhengming was brought in had no
damage, the police and driver in the same car were all fine with no injuries,
only Xiong Zhengming died. How could this be possible? Ye Xudong claimed that after the car accident, a clinic in Deyang (Why didn't
they go to a hospital rather than a small private clinic?) did emergency
treatment on Xiong Zhengming. But according to witnesses, when Xiong Zhengming
was taken to the clinic on December 5 at 10:00 a.m., he was already dead, there
was no need for any emergency treatment. And in the so-called treatment record,
the name was written as "Anonymous." How could Ye Xudong not know the
name of the deceased? What did he want to cover up? Being unable to justify the death, Ye Xudong and the others asked the medical
examiner, brought by the Dazhou Police Department, to do an autopsy even though
his family had not asked for it. That medical examiner did not search for the
root cause of death, rather he pointed to Xiong Zhengming's body while
addressing the family, "Look, his heart is here... his organs are all
here..." The examiner seemed to be trying to prove what there was no doubt
about. The family wanted to know the cause of death, and hadn't asked about his
organs. Why did the medical examiner take the initiative to talk about organs?
The autopsy was quickly done, but the examiner dared not examine Xiong's back.
Is it possible that Xiong's kidneys were missing? 2. What Really Happened in Deyang Prison? Since he was already dead on the morning of December 5, why did Ye Xudong
notify Xiong's family at 7:00 p.m.? During all that time, what did Ye Xudong and
the others do? Why did Wanyuan City officials arrive earlier than Xiong's
family? 3. Is This a Pre-arranged Conspiracy? Normally an escort just needs regular police, yet on December 4, Yu Xudong,
who is in charge of the local National Security Unit, was directly involved, the
deputy director of the Police Department, Xu Zijian, was also at the scene. This
is not normal. After Mr. Xiong Zhengming's death, many government officials went to the
scene, pressured and intimidated Xiong's family, and threatened to have them
dismissed from their jobs. The secretary of the CCP Political and Judiciary
Committee, who on surface seemed to have nothing to do with the case, came
forward and offered the heart-broken family 140,000 yuan. If Xiong's
death was not related to them, why did they offer money to the family? 4. Background Information about the CCP Harvesting Organs from Living Falun
Gong Practitioners Manfred Nowak, the special rapporteur on torture from the United Nations
Commission for Human Rights, in a recent report points out that in various
places in China, a number of Falun Gong practitioners' organs were harvested
live for organ transplants. As early as 2001, Sujiatun Hospital in Liaoning
City, Shenyang Province had started the large scale removal of Falun Gong
practitioners' vital organs, including hearts, kidneys, livers, cornea, etc. The
police or the relevant doctors inject some drug into the Falun Gong
practitioners which leads to heart failure, causing the Falun Gong
practitioner's immediate death, during or after which their organs were removed. Under strong international pressure, the CCP has always denied the existence
of "harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners." But since
2006, when the issue was exposed, the CCP has made and amended several
legislative bills about organ transplants, and at the same time the CCP openly
acknowledged the removal of the organs from executed prisoners which they had
always denied in the past. It hoped to use this to dilute the international
outrage over the "harvesting organs from living Falun Gong
practitioners" issue. However the analyst says, as various evidence
continues surfacing, and the international voices of justice increase more and
more, the day will come soon when the CCP will have to admit harvesting organs
from Falun Gong practitioners.
Mr. Xiong Zhengming's body had clothes on, but was covered with sheets. There
were no facial injuries, but there was a hole in the back of his head. Ye Xudong
and others claimed that Xiong had committed suicide. How could a person wearing
handcuffs and with police officers on either side of him commit suicide?
Mr. Xiong Zhengming left at around 9:00 a.m. on December 4, 2007. He should have
arrived at Mianyang Forced Labor Camp that same evening. Why did he die in
Deyang on December 5? According to Ye Xudong's disclosure, Xiong Zhengming was
detained in Deyang Huangxu Town Police Station's prison on the night of December
4. That prison is located on the right side of the Chengdu to Miangyang highway,
and is 29 km (18 mi.) away from Mianyang. It takes a normal car just 20 minutes
to arrive at Mianyang Forced Labor Camp. Why wasn't he taken there directly,
rather then spend the night at Deyang Prison? What really happened that night?
Did Xiong Zhengming die in Deyang prison? How did he die? Could it be that his
kidneys and possibly other organs were harvested?
According to insiders, on December 4, Ye Xudong had approached Mr. Xiong
Zhengming. At that time Xiong felt he might not be able to return. After Xiong's
death, they kept detaining Falun Gong practitioner Hu Yu, who was in the same
prison cell as Xiong, and was also a teacher in Wanyuan High School. Now Hu Yu
is in a dangerous situation.
On July 6, 2006, Canada's leading human rights lawyer David Matas and former
secretary of state for Asia-Pacific David Kilgour released a report of an
independent investigation. The report confirmed that the CCP has been
systematically, and on a massive scale, removing Falun Gong practitioners'
organs while they were still alive, for profit. The report points out, "The
government of China and its agencies in numerous parts of the country, in
particular hospitals but also detention centers and 'people's courts', since
1999 have put to death a large but unknown number of Falun Gong prisoners of
conscience. Their vital organs, including kidneys, livers, corneas and hearts,
were seized involuntarily for sale at high prices." Those crimes are still
ongoing today. Mr. Matas said, "To us, it is a form of evil yet to be seen
on this planet, an unprecedented form of evil."
