(Clearwisdom.net) The magnificent progress of Fa-rectification is rapidly breaking through toward the surface dimension. However, around the Chinese New Year, in a certain city, several practitioners passed away, many suffered sickness karma, and various coordinators were arrested several times by CCP authorities. Thus, there must be loopholes in the one body.
Some family members of an arrested practitioner helped the authorities search for truth clarification materials, and even pointed out (in front of the police) practitioners who had helped to rescue their loved one. Their behavior led to new persecution and brought interference and confusion to the efforts by Dafa practitioners to save sentient beings.
Among those who passed away, some were old, and some were young. Some were veteran practitioners, and some were newer. Some passed away all of a sudden, and some did so over time and peacefully. They seemed to know that their time had come. Before they left, they tidied up their rooms, keeping Master's photos and Dafa books and arranged neatly. Some had delayed letting go by some days and got confused and went to hospital, but in the end, they realized it and regretted doing so.
After carefully thinking through what happened, I would like to share my thoughts with fellow practitioners so we can improve and advance together. I do not intend to criticize or blame anybody. Please kindly point out anything inappropriate.
1. Many newer practitioners came to Dafa cultivation for the reason of curing their illnesses. Therefore, they naturally have a strong pursuit (an attachment) of becoming healthy. From the standpoint of the Fa, this is an improper state of merely hoping to gain benefits from practicing Dafa. Many such practitioners focus on practicing the exercises instead of Fa study. They focus on the group Fa study instead of taking advantage of free time to concentrate on individual Fa study. When they study the Fa themselves, they tend to search for what they are looking for and skip lectures, instead of calmly studying the Fa systematically and completely in the state of "gaining naturally without pursuit." Or, they focus only on self cultivation. They do not devote any effort to clarifying the truth, saving sentient beings, and validating the Fa. As coordinators or veteran practitioners, we should be benevolent and take the responsibility to help newer practitioners to understand the truth, upgrade "xinxing", and eliminate their attachments. We should help newer practitioners to better understand the principle of gaining naturally without pursuit, and that "cultivation is up to you, gong is up to the master."(The First Talk, Zhuan Falun, 2003 Translation Version) We should pay more attention to their xinxing cultivation and improvement and exchange more thoughts and experiences with them.
2. Some practitioners obtained the Fa long ago, or went to Beijing to validate the Fa, or were arrested, or have had great experience doing the three things. Therefore, to some degree, they have become satisfied with their individual cultivation. They are in a state of waiting for consummation. Master mentioned that for Dafa practitioners in the Fa-rectification period, prior to July 20, 1999 was mainly the period for individual cultivation. The period after July 20, 1999 has mainly been about clarifying the truth and saving sentient beings. In order for practitioners to be able to resist the evil persecution, Master pushed the practitioners to their proper level prior to July 20, 1999. Therefore, although some veteran practitioners are still doing the three things, they have ignored upgrading their xinxing to some degree and have not been diligent in cultivation. This is mainly the result of not having right enlightenment when facing issues. It is not merely not having the enlightenment. It is because some have been too lazy to enlighten. Because enlightenment needs to come from the Fa, it requires one to think deeply and look inward. It takes painstaking effort. Being afraid of going through hardship is an attachment practitioners need to eliminate.
One practitioner obtained the Fa over ten years ago and had gone to Beijing to validate the Fa, but when he was suffering from sickness karma, he did not maintain righteous thoughts. He even thought about giving up on cultivation. He chose to go to a hospital and take medicine. When he did not see any effect from taking medicine, he even thought of some religion he used to follow and said he dreamed of someone from that religion. In the dream, that person asked the practitioner to go with him in order to alleviate his swelling. After several days, the swelling seemed to improve a little. This practitioner then developed the attachment of zealotry. However, in the end, the disease became incurable. Before the practitioner passed away, he suddenly realized the truth and told the practitioners around him: "If you want to cultivate, you should cultivate seriously and steadily..."
3. Coordinators are acting like independent groups. They do not pay enough attention to motivating and leveraging practitioners and the power as one body. There are obviously positive factors expressed by the coordinators, such as, being the first to bear hardships, being a role model, and caring for newer practitioners and those who have difficulties in their family, maintaining a focus on safety, efficiency and cultivation of speech. However, on the other hand, is this an attachment of validating oneself? Is this a human notion of not trusting others? Is this not completely understanding the Fa principle of "everybody is a coordinator?" When dealing with some large scale project or more difficult projects, there are only a couple of coordinators working on it. This is not the best way to leverage the power of the one body of Dafa practitioners. It is easy for the evil to take advantage and bring interference and loss.
4. The group Fa study only follows a formality, and it ends as soon as the time is up. There is not enough sharing and deep thinking. Sometimes, there might be discussion, but it is mostly the coordinators talking and other practitioners are just listening. Or the discussions are not deep enough and to the point. Or everybody is talking at the same time, and nobody can hear anything clearly. From the Fa perspective, this is not the way Master asks us to conduct group Fa study. I personally think that we should at least focus on three points: first, studying the Fa using one's heart; second, sharing our thoughts and experiences; third, improving and advancing together and helping one another.
5. Some practitioners obtained the Fa early and cultivated well. Some practitioners have careers that keep them busy. Some practitioners are too cautious when making truth clarification materials and ignore sharing with other practitioners. Therefore, some of these practitioners are not able to completely fulfill their prehistoric vows to assist Master in Fa-rectification. First of all, they tend to focus only on their individual cultivation and overlook helping newer practitioners to improve and advance from the Fa perspective. Secondly, they are not used to sharing their experiences with other fellow practitioners. Thirdly, they do not make use of the Minghui/Clearwisdom website to share their thoughts. Isn't this being selfish? Isn't their being overly concerned about safety issues an attachment to fear? Isn't their not wanting to think, share thoughts, or write articles the pursuit of comfort? Aren't these reflections of their not being able to "step forward from humanness?"
6. Due to a simplified, fragmented, and narrow understanding of Master's Fa principle of cultivators not participating in ordinary people's business, some practitioners do not completely understand or pay enough attention to the phenomenon of "great unity of heaven and man" towards the end of the Fa-rectification period. They cannot connect this with the Fa principles and grasp the right opportunities. Hence it impacts the effectiveness of assisting Master in Fa-rectification. My personal understanding is that except for the very last minute that the Fa rectifies the human world, the magnificent progress of Fa-rectification is not for us to wait for troops with soldiers and commanders from Heaven to eliminate the evil completely. It has to conform to the way of everyday people. With Master's Fashen [law body]and numerous righteous gods guarding Dafa practitioners, we should show the magnificence of "the re-creation of heaven and earth are coming to a close!" For example, every practitioner participates in making truth clarification materials, clarifying the truth, and exhorting "three withdrawals" so we can make all public places our righteous fields of spreading the Fa to awaken and save more sentient beings!
