(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Lai Jinming, 49, is originally from Liling City, Hunan Province. She currently lives at Baoan Lane, Jianxiang Road, Furong District in Changsha City. On the morning of March 21, Ms. Lai was reported to the police by a gate guard when she clarified the truth about Falun Gong in the apartment building of the Hunan Province Art Institute. Later, she was arrested by police officers from Liuzheng Street Police Station in Furong District, Changsha City and was detained at the Changsha City Detention Center that night.

Ms. Lai Jinming

Ms. Lai Jinming started to practice Falun Gong in 1998. She felt very good physically and her health improved. At the same time, she followed the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to be a good person. She overcame her tendencies of being impatient and easily angered, and she improved her moral standard. Illnesses such as kidney stones, which had bothered her for a long time, disappeared. Her disposition and temper also greatly improved. Some of her relatives said that she became a completely new person after practicing Falun Gong.

Ms. Lai was illegally sentenced to one year of forced labor in 2004 because she clarified the truth about Falun Gong to people. She was detained at the Baimalong Forced Labor Camp in Zhuzhou City and suffered from persecution.

Ms. Lai was arrested again on March 21, 2008. In order to protest the detention, she refused to cooperate with the police interrogation. Instead, she simply clarified the truth to the the officers and told them that Falun Dafa is good. Since the detention center guards have not allowed anyone to visit her, her current situation and how badly she has suffered from torture is still unknown.

According to some sources, the officers who are in charge of Ms. Lai Jinming's case at the Liuzheng Street Police Station are pursuing a sentence that includes forced labor. They have already sent her case to the Law Office of the Furong District Police Department.
