Chinese Australian: Divine Performing Arts the Best Chinese Tradition (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On the afternoon of April 12, the second Chinese Spectacular show in Canberra, Australia, attracted many local Chinese immigrants and was another great success.

Audience member Ms. Zheng is an employee of Australian National University and her husband, Mr. Pan, serves as an agriculture and resource analyst for the Australian government. The couple brought his mother and their two sons to see the show. Ms. Zheng said, "I was lucky to see a Chinese Spectacular show in the US when I visited my parents. I loved it. So today I brought my whole family."

Ms. Zheng and her family enjoyed the Chinese Spectacular show in Canberra on April 12

Mr. Pan's mother sat between her two grandsons, and was very pleased. "It presented something very dear to my heart. I know all the stories very well. The dancers were great, and the Divine Performing Arts did a good job promoting the true spirit of Chinese culture. I hope my grandchildren will learn more about this."

Mr. Pan said, "My wife asked me to come. This is my first time to see the show. I think it was great. We came to Australia from China more than 20 years ago, and the performance reminded me of many forgotten memories. In addition, I feel that the show is beneficial and inspiring to overseas Chinese on how to educate their children. We all hope that our next generation will inherit our culture, and this show helps them better understand our history and culture."

Ms. Li immigrated to Australia from Shanghai two years ago, and she had a lot to say when asked her opinion of the show: "I thought the show was fascinating. From costumes and stage scenery to the music, every detail was very good. I learned a bit of dance when I was in China, and I must say the show is very professional. The choreography is just perfect and the lyrics of the songs are excellent."

Mr. Li, originally from Shanghai, said that the "Descent of the Celestial Kings" was very touching

"The opening performance 'Descent of the Celestial Kings' was very touching," said Ms. Li, "and 'The Risen Lotus Flower' [a piece which depicted the courage of three Falun Gong practitioners detained in China] was a very good presentation about people being persecuted in China. It showcased their great courage. I know some practitioners and they are all good people."
