What They Do Is for the Sake of Others
By Luo Shun in China
(Clearwisdom.net) I am a 50-year-old farmer in Cang County, Cangzhou City, Hebei Province. I
would like to share how I physically benefited from Falun Gong. My wife started practicing Falun Gong a few years ago and had her illnesses
cured. At that time, I was very healthy and thought that I need not practice
Falun Gong. After the CCP regime began persecuting Falun Gong in 1999, my wife went to
Beijing to appeal for justice, and subsequently was sent to a forced labor camp.
You can imagine how difficult it was to raise two children without her.
Influenced by the CCP's propaganda, I gradually believed their lies. I did not
realize that my family's difficult situation was caused by the CCP regime, and
that I was also a victim of the persecution. Instead, I thought all our trouble
was caused by my wife, and I developed some improper opinions about Falun Gong. When my wife got home she tried to help me understand the truth, but I
wouldn't hear it. She asked me, "Is there anything wrong with being a good
person according to the standard of 'Truthfulness, Compassion and
Tolerance'?" I thought it over, "No!" But why are citizens who
want to be good people being arrested? Maybe there is there something wrong with
a government that is making black white, and white black. I know lots of Falun Gong practitioners and they are very kind people. They
behave very well in any environment. Why does this country not provide space for
good people? I used to be addicted to alcohol. For me, life was meaningless without
alcohol. One day in 2004, I suddenly felt ill, I was faint and could not stand
by myself. I was taken to the hospital and was told by the doctor that I had
hypo-tension which could cause cerebral thrombosis or a cerebral hemorrhage. I
took lots of pills but they did not work. I started thinking about myself and worried that I could be gone someday. So
I thought of those Falun Gong practitioners who survived severe illnesses and
decided to give it a try. But I was addicted to alcohol and was illiterate, how
could I practice Falun Gong? But the practitioners said that I could. So I began
to recite "Falun Dafa is good" and "'Truthfulness, Compassion and
Tolerance' is good". Some practitioners read Dafa books for me. Ten days
later, my body totally recovered, it was a miracle! Now I am pretty busy with
farming, and I have little time to listen to the Fa, but I recite "Falun
Dafa is good" and "'Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance' is
good" every day. I no longer need to take medicine. I want to tell you another story: A few days ago, as I drove my agricultural
three-wheel transporter, the visibility was very low due to heavy fog, and when
I crossed a road I suddenly saw that a bus was coming at me very close. I turned
the steering wheel and closed my eyes, thinking that I would surely be killed.
When I opened my eyes, I did not know how I was able to escape from the danger.
But I knew it was Master Li who saved me. It was a truly miraculous experience. Today, I understand why so many people still persist in their belief in Falun
Gong regardless of the persecution. I also want to tell you something from my
heart: Falun Gong practitioners are very good people. What they do is for the
sake of others; they just hope more people like me understand the truth and
benefit from Falun Gong. Do not believe in the CCP's propaganda. April 6, 2008
