The Persecution of Ms. Yuan Jingyun and Her Family in Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region
(Clearwisdom.net) Note: The following is a shortened version of a
longer and more detailed article that appeared on the Minghui.org website
(Chinese version of Clearwisdom.net). Since December 2007, Domestic Security and 610 Office agents, the
local police, and community workers have collectively harassed Falun Dafa
practitioners in Aksu Prefecture, including forcing them to sign their names or
give their fingerprints, and threatening to withhold retirement pensions and
salaries. Mr. Xie Zhiming and his younger sister, Ms. Xie Zhiying, were taken
into custody at the local police station and beaten with sticks and a leather
belt for more than an hour. They and their mother, Yuan Jingyun, 77, were sentenced to two to three years
of forced labor in 2001 when they went to Beijing to appeal for justice for
Falun Dafa. Ms. Xie Zhiying works in the Aksu Prefecture Tax Bureau. She never
succumbed to the brainwashing, so she was placed under house-arrest upon being
released from the forced labor camp. Ms. Yuan Jingyun is a retired employee from
the Wushi County State Tax Bureau. Her retirement salary has been withheld ever
since the she was put in forced labor.
