Reciting "Falun Dafa is Good" Saved My Father's Life (Clearwisdom.net) I am a Falun Dafa practitioner living in Japan. Although my parents live far
away in China, I often clarify the truth to them about Falun Dafa over the
phone. One way that has benefited them is to recite "Falun Dafa is
good" and "Truth-Compassion-Forbearance is good". Mother is a
firm believer. Father also started to believe it and is now quietly reciting the
phrases. But, the other family members have been rather dubious
about the whole thing. However, a recent incident at home deeply moved them and
let them feel the power of Dafa. Father is 75 this year. Six months ago, he had a minor stroke. Three weeks
ago, while preparing the field for sowing, he collapsed in the field. A neighbor
found him and sent him to the district hospital. After an injection, father woke
up, but his conscious state fluctuated. The doctor arranged a complete checkup
for him the following Monday. The night when Father was in hospital, I called and asked my brother to pass
the phone over to father. I told him to keep reciting "Falun Dafa Hao"
(Falun Dafa is good). Half stammering, he said he understood. I told mother to
do the same, and father would be all right. Two days later, the result of the examination indicated that father's
condition was not that serious. However, on the third day, father passed out
again. An X-ray showed that he had severe cerebral hemorrhage; the doctor said
that father had only a few days to live. All the relatives came. After a family
meeting, they decided to take father home, as they did not want dad to die in
the hospital. Preparations were made for the funeral. All other relatives living nearby
were informed and everyone was ready for the final farewell ritual. Over the
phone, I kept reminding mother that if she repeatedly recited "Falun Dafa
is Good" in father's ear when he was conscious, father would have a chance. On the first day after father came home, he rejected all forms of medication.
If the medicine was forced into him, he reacted badly. So they decided to stop
giving him anything altogether. On the second day after coming home, I was told
that father woke up, and even ate two slices of watermelon. On the third day,
with only minor help, he could even walk to the toilet by himself. After that,
all the helpers left, leaving only one person attending to his needs. Two days later, the family took father to another hospital for a checkup. The
doctor said that the clot had resolved. After comparing his x-rays with the
x-rays taken several days earlier, the doctor could not explain how he had
recovered so quickly. Mother happily said to me, "They all said that it must be the son in
Japan praying for him for father to recover so miraculously." I said to
mother, "We must thank Falun Gong. It was also because you had faith,
that's why it worked. If the person concerned does not believe in it, it won't
work." Father himself also indicated that Falun Dafa had saved his life. After the incident, all our relatives were deeply touched by the power of
Falun Dafa. Some of them said they would like to recite "Falun Dafa is
Good" as well. Others said that if there were people to teach them, they
would also like to practice Falun Gong. I hope more people will be saved through
this incident.
