New Zealand Chinese Revel in the Beauty of Traditional Chinese Culture (Photos) By Shen Rong
(Clearwisdom.net) On April 18, 2008, Divine Performing Arts (DPA)
concluded its second show in New Zealand. Chinese tour guide: The performance reaches a high realm through art Ms. Ping works in the tourism business and did not get to see the Chinese
Spectacular last year due to her busy schedule. She was happy to get to see
it this year. "Last year when the show came, I was busy and did not get to
attend. I saw the advertisement at the beginning of this year and wished to see
it." Ms. Ping and her relatives watch the Chinese
Spectacular on April 18 in Auckland Ms. Ping said the DPA's promotion of Chinese culture made her feel happy and
proud. "I care about the DPA's promotion of Chinese culture. I feel that
Chinese people who live outside of China for so long especially wish to see the
show. I told my relatives and friends in New Zealand about the show and
encouraged them to see it. Chinese people outside of communist China feel very
glad and proud to see that the DPA presented the essence of Chinese
culture." For programs on stories of Falun Gong practitioners persecuted by the Chinese
Communist Party, Ms. Ping was sympathetic. "I have sympathy towards Falun
Gong. Though I have been away from China for many years, I know there are too
many unfair things and corruption in China. When I left China, this was one
reason. I wanted freedom and a happy life." At last, Ms. Ping said, "I felt that the performance presented fully
Truth-Compassion-Tolerance. It reached a high realm through art." Chinese from mainland China: The show takes me back to a pure world Mr. Wan Ming from mainland China said after watching the show, "I felt
like I returned to a very pure world. There is no such pure performance in
China." Mr. Wan Ming He said, "I think that traditional Chinese culture promotes mankind's
moral excellence and is a graceful culture. Such a traditional and righteous
culture is lost in China. There is no such performance in China. Many traditions
are discontinued in China. Such traditions should be continued in China since it
has a 5000-year civilization!" Mr. Wang said, "Chinese people cannot forget their roots. It is
important to present a universal value, Truth-Compassion-Tolerance. The
performance has a high artistic level. One has a peaceful feeling after watching
the show." "I will tell my friends and relatives," said Mr. Wang with a smile,
"the DPA attracts audiences not only because of its great skills, but
because of its presentation of the essence of Chinese ancient culture, which
moves people." Senior Chinese in New Zealand: The performance encourages people's sense of
justice Mr. Fan used to be a teacher and has lived in New Zealand for twelve years.
After watching the show, he highly praised the DPA's promotion of Chinese
traditional culture and was especially impressed with the program, "The
Power of Awareness". Mr. Fan He said, "The DPA promotes Chinese traditional culture, safeguarding
justice and struggling against evil. This is mankind's universal value. I highly
commend it. The performance encourages people's sense of justice." Chinese from Malaysia: The show deserves its international renown Ms. Ling from Malaysia studied dance before and admired the high-level skill
of the DPA performers while watching the show. She said, "I think they are
outstanding and deserve their international renown. I studied dance before, but
the dances I learned did not come from Chinese culture--they contained some
western elements. The program 'The Loyalty of Yue Fei' was a wonderful depiction
of profound Chinese culture." Posting date: 4/21/2008
