Practitioners Ms. He Wen and Ms. Li Zhenyu Taken to Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp

Recently, about 50 Falun Gong practitioners were illegally arrested in Dehui City, Jilin Province. Ms. He Wen and Ms. Li Zhenyu were arrested on February 27, 2008, when four police officers broke the lock and barged into the two practitioners' homes at 11:00 p.m. Displaying no warrant, the officers ransacked the homes and subsequently took the two practitioners to the Dehui City Detention Center.

The police took numerous practitioners to Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City, but many of them did not pass the physical exam, so the police took them back to the detention center. They tried again to send the practitioners to the labor camp on March 19, 2008, but again failed. Ms. He Wen and Ms. Li Zhenyu were sent to Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp for the third time on the afternoon of Saturday, March 22, 2008. Two separate examinations of both practitioners diagnosed them with heart disease. Ms. Li went on a hunger strike and was extremely weak after ten days, yet this time authorities at the Heizuizi camp accepted them despite government policies. They are now being held in Division 4 and Division 1, respectively.
