Ms. Gu Li and Ms. Qiu Shuping Arrested in Liaoning Province (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Gu Li is in her forties. She lived in the Xishan Community District in Dengshahe Town, Jinzhou District of Dalian City, Liaoning Province and worked as a nurse at the No. 2 People's Hospital in the Jinzhou District. She began practicing Falun Gong in 1996. The Chinese Communist Party began the persecution in July 1999. Ms. Gu Li explained to people how she benefited from the practice and clarified the facts about the persecution. She and practitioner Ms. Qiu Shuping were arrested on the afternoon of March 20, 2008. Participating in the arrest were Sun Tong from the Dengshahe Town Police Station and three security officers. The two practitioners were taken to the police department. Numerous police officers ransacked the homes of Ms. Gu Li and Ms. Qiu Shuping at 5:00 p.m. Ms. Gu Li was taken to the Pulandian Detention Center at 3:30 p.m. the next day.

Homemaker Ms. Qiu Shuping is in her forties. She is from Xiaoliutun, Nanguan Village, Dengshahe Town, Jinzhou District, Dalian City. Ms. Qiu was arrested along with Ms. Gu Li on the afternoon of March 20, 2008, and was taken to Sanli Detention Center in Jinzhou District at 3:30 p.m. that same day.
