Hawaii: Senator Daniel Akaka Sends Letter of Congratulations to the Divine Performing Arts (Photo)

(Clearwisdom.net) Having already staged 140 performances of the Chinese Spectacular, including those in 19 Asian and Australian cities, the Divine Performing Arts company arrived in Hawaii on April 20 to perform at Blaisdell Concert Hall.

On April 21, Daniel Akaka, U.S. Senator for Hawaii, sent a letter of congratulations to the Divine Performing Arts.

Senator Akaka said:

"It is with great pleasure that I extend my warmest aloha and best wishes to all in attendance at this evening's 2008 Chinese Spectacular premiere at the Neal Blaisdell Concert Hall.

Let me take this opportunity to commend the Divine Performing Arts Company of New York and Honolulu's New Tang Dynasty Culture Center for sharing the authentic Chinese culture that made China the "Land of the Divine."

Tonight, 2008 Chinese Spectacular promises to capture our imagination in the brilliant and ever-exciting performance and demonstration of the art of classical Chinese dance and music. The 2008 Chinese Spectacular will take us into ancient and modern Chinese legends and stories, sharing the Chinese's rich cultural heritage with us. This world class performance will tour over 65 cities in the world and promises to be an exciting and grand success.

My thoughts are with you for a most enriching and memorable, 2008 Chinese Spectacular."
