(Clearwisdom.net) On April 19, 2008, Divine Performing Arts put on its final two shows of the Chinese Spectacular in Auckland, New Zealand. The performances, highlighting the essence of traditional Chinese culture, brought forth positive and enthusiastic responses from the audience. At the end of the afternoon show, the performers were acknowledged with two curtain calls from continuous applause, and the evening show's audience applauded for three curtain calls. The performances attracted many Chinese immigrants who were deeply impressed by the authentic traditional Chinese culture.

English Teacher from Mainland China now knows the truth after seeing the Chinese Spectacular

Mr. Chen, a middle school English teacher in mainland China, came to Auckland to visit relatives three months ago. He said, "In content, the Chinese Spectacular encompassed Chinese legends and tales. It's quite rare to see any composer in China turn legends and tales into performing arts, and present them on stage. "

Mr. Chen said, "I had little knowledge of Falun Gong. Nowhere in the parks of China now can anyone find Falun Gong practitioners in the morning; all I heard was the propaganda on TV. Not until I saw the Chinese Spectacular, did I learn the facts about Falun Gong."

Mr. Chen concluded by saying that one can only see the truth and speak the truth outside China.

Immigrant Couple: Divine Performing Arts enhances the morale of the Chinese people

Mr. Li, a teacher, and his family immigrated to New Zealand a year ago. After attending, they gave high praise to the Chinese Spectacular. Mrs. Li taught at an arts school for several years, and had many contacts in China who were dancers. Mrs. Li commended Divine Performing Arts for its superb techniques. She said that she found the performers to have very good mastery of the skills and basic fundamentals.

Mrs. Li thought that the Chinese Spectacular showcased China's 5,000 years of culture and history well, and in doing so enhanced the morale of Chinese people. "We are quite familiar with the stories depicted in 'The Lady of the Moon,' and 'The Loyalty of Yue Fei'. The performance 'Drummers of the Tang Court' portrayed the Chinese people full of vigor and vitality."

Mr. Li continued along his wife's theme, and said, "We're quite familiar with stories such as 'The Lady of the Moon,' 'The Loyalty of Yue Fei,' and stories from the Tang Dynasty, but to be honest, we did not expect that the artists would be able to turn this part of our history into dance, and represent them on stage. Very well done."

The Divine Performing Arts of New York has concluded its two-and-a-half-month tour of the Asia-Pacific region, and will now head for Hawaii and other US cities to perform.
