Wang Zhihai's Head Wounded Badly Due to Torture at Chongqing City Xishanping Forced Labor Camp

(Clearwisdom.net) On September 28, 2007, Mr. Wang Zhihai, a Falun Gong practitioner employed by the Jiulongpo District Railway System in Chongqing City, was illegally sentenced to a forced labor camp for two years. He was taken to the Second Section of the Seventh Ward of Xishanping Forced Labor Camp. On March 18, 2008, several inmates beat Mr. Wang so violently that he suffered a head injury, his teeth were loosened, and his eyes became bloodshot. He also had a concussion and vomited, and his blood pressure shot up.

In order to cover up their crime, people from the forced labor camp cut off Mr. Zhihai's contact with the outside. Later, their crime was exposed, so Mr. Zhihai was transferred to the Central Hospital affiliated with Xishanping Forced Labor Camp. The labor camp officials refused to share Mr. Zhihai's medical records and CT results with his family. His family is now demanding his release, but officials from the forced labor camp continue to hold Mr. Zhihai.

Mr. Wang Zhihai is now 40 years old. Several years ago, on July 11, 2001, he was illegally detained at the forced labor camp for more than 19 months. In 2003, his wife, Ms. Duan Shiqun, was tortured to death at the detention center. Now Mr. Zhihai's son, Wang Jing, who is only nine years old, is left without anyone to take care of him.
