Several Cases of Retribution
(Clearwisdom.net) Editors' note: In both Western and Chinese cultures, the principle of karmic
retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions,
is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic
of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe
will reward acts that are in harmony with this principle, while doing things
such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution.
Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will
meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate
reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of
those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the
universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions,
and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape
retribution. A Guard Lost His Job In 2000 a fellow practitioner and I went to our local brainwashing center to
visit another practitioner detained there. A guard named Liu searched us,
removing some truth-clarification materials from us. I was also detained for 15
days as a result. Later this guard was fired for making a mistake at work. Two 610 Office Directors Contracted Cancer and Were Demoted Zhang Zhujun and He Nanping were 610 Office directors. They
closely followed Jiang's regime to persecute practitioners. Two years ago, Zhang
had cancer. He was demoted because of a finance scandal. A Party Secretary Developed Stomach Problems after Attacking Dafa Everyone in my workplace knows that I practice Falun Gong. However, in 2002,
a Party secretary attacked Dafa at a company-wide end-of-the-year meeting. He
claimed he had worked hard on me, trying to persuade me to stop practicing Falun
Gong, but I was just too stubborn. As a matter of fact, I used to be a Party
secretary as well. After July 20, 1999, I was removed from this post. I was
never his subordinate and he had never worked on me as he claimed. In fact, he
was trying to use me to gain a political advantage so he could move up the
ranks. Not long after, he developed stomach problems and had to take early
retirement. Security Captain Had a Stoke After July 20, 1999, I went to Beijing twice to clarify the
truth. Even though I had been sent to jail four times and brainwashing
centers twice, I never wavered in my belief. In June 2002, my employer tried
hard to persuade me to go to Tangxunhu Brainwashing Center. I firmly refused.
Then the security captain had six people take me to the brainwashing center by
force. Since I did not have a good understanding of the Fa, I was
brainwashed while in detention. I didn't come to realize my mistake until three
months later. In the meantime the security captain had a stroke. After being
bedridden for a while, he had to rely on crutches for several months. He
eventually lost his job. Party Secretary Sentenced to Seven Years in Prison In the story above, when the security captain and his accomplices were trying
to take me to Tangxunhu Brainwashing Center, I lay on the ground and refused to
get up. The captain told the deputy Party secretary what to do. The secretary
ordered them to carry me into the car. In 2006, this deputy Party secretary was
promoted to Party secretary. However, he was later sentenced to seven years in
prison for corruption.
