Wuhou District Procuratorate and Court of Chengdu City Persecute Falun Gong Practitioners
(Clearwisdom.net) The following are true accounts of how the Wuhou
District Procuratorate and the Court in Chengdu City, Sichuan
Province have persecuted Falun Gong practitioners and illegally
sentenced them. 1. Zhou Yiqun and Tu Qiyao Were Sentenced On May 22, 2006, the CCP Wuhou District Court sentenced practitioners Zhou
Yiqun and Tu Qiyao for five years and three years respectively based the
fabricated charge of "intentionally divulging a national secret." The
court claimed that the two practitioners mailed to the Minghui website (Chinese
version of Clearwisdom.net) an official file, "About Falun Gong Planning
the Inaugural Chinese New Year Global Gala," which the Chinese Broadcasting
and Television Bureau sent to the sub-level bureau, and the official file "Wuhou
District Chinese Communist Party Committee Persecuting Falun Gong, the Lead
Team's key tasks for 2004," which the Wuhou District CCP Committee sent to
its sub-level party committees. The Epoch Times published the full cipher
telegrams with serial number 12089 on March 16, 2005. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has never followed any legal procedures in
its persecution of Falun Gong. It has always sentenced practitioners based on
its own internal files. Its "internal files" were exposed and the fact
that it used its internal files to sentence practitioners was exposed. People
can clearly see the CCP's evil nature based on the fact that the CCP used its
power to override the legal system and used fabricated charges to persecute
practitioners and deceive the public. Personnel who participated in persecuting Tu Qiyao and Zhou Yiqun: Wuhou District Court: 2. Mr. Tao Yuan Sentenced to Four Years of Imprisonment Chengdu City practitioner Mr. Tao Yuan was sentenced to four years by the
Wuhou District Court after he was arrested and illegally detained for two years. During the past six months, Mr. Tao's family went to see CCP officials
repeatedly to ask for his release. His father is more than 80 years old. He
visited the CCP officials every day even though he was very ill. The Jinyang
Police Station officers told his family to see the procuratorate officials. The
procuratorate officials told them to see the court officials. After a lot of
effort, the Wuhou District Court still sentenced Tao Yuan to four years and did
not allow his family to see him. The court also did not process any paper work. The personnel who participated in persecuting Tao Yuan: Wuhou District Court: 86-28-85070584 3. Wang Yangfang Sentenced to Three Years On April 11, 2003, the Wuhou District Procuratorate charged Wang Yangfang (Wuhou
District Procuratorate Case Number 184, year 2003, the prosecutor was Liang Lan).
On August 21, 2003, Chengdu City Wuhou District Court sentenced Wang Yangfang to
three years in temporary custody outside prison (Sentence Case Number 219, year
2003). Actually Wang Yangfang has been detained and persecuted for three years
and five months. The judge, Shui Changbing, also said that the five months did
not count because Wang Yangfang was not detained during those five months. Judge
Shi forced Wang Yangfang to sign the form that "requires a guarantor to
post bail while awaiting trial." 4. Ms. Ning Hong Sentenced to Three Years of Forced Labor Practitioner Ms. Ning Hong, 48, is a reporter for the Sichuan Province
People's Broadcasting Station. She was arrested on August 27, 2006, at her home
by a National Security agent and officers from the Shuangnan Police Station
because she circulated DVDs of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist
Party. She was then detained at the Pi County Detention Center in
Chengdu City. On February 12, 2007, she was "illegally sentenced" to three years
of forced labor by the Wuhou District Court. She firmly rejected this and
appealed to the Chengdu City Intermediate Court, but she got no response. On
June 26, the police suddenly took her to the Sixth District of Yangmahe Prison
in Jianyang City, Sichuan Province, without giving notice to her family. 5. Ms. Fan Xiuying Sentenced to Four Years Charged with a "Political
Crime" Chengdu City practitioner Ms. Fan Xiuying, 70, lived at the Southwestern
Minority College Apartments at Yulinzheng Street, Wuhou District, Chengdu City.
In June 2007, the Wuhou District Court requested that her son bring her to the
court to finish some paperwork. The court officials guaranteed her son that it
was just procedure and the court wouldn't do anything to his mother since she
was very old. The officials also said it would be "custody outside of
prison" at most. At four o'clock in the afternoon, Ms. Fan, her husband,
son, and daughter-in-law were deceived into showing up the Wuhou District Court.
The court official read a written judgment that had been previously prepared,
and sentenced Fan Xiuying to four years on a charge of "political
crime." At that time, Ms. Fan had already been detained and tortured for more than
three months. She was very thin and could not even walk. She needed her daughter
to carry her to the restroom. She also suffered from memory loss and could not
remember many things that had happened previously. 6. Ms. Yang Jingxia Sentenced to Three Years of Imprisonment Ms. Yang Jingxia, who is in her seventies, is a professor at the
Architectural and Environmental Protection College of Sichuan University and is
a well-known environmental protection expert, known all over the world. In May
2003, Ms. Yang was arrested at her home by Chengdu City 610 Office
agents and detained at the First Detention Center in Chengdu City. Her hands
were cuffed and she was not allowed to sleep for four days. Later she was
sentenced to a four year term by the Wuhou District Court and was imprisoned in
Jianyang City Women's Prison in Sichuan Province. 7. Ms. Luo Ping Sentenced to Three and a Half Years of Imprisonment Ms. Luo Ping, 31, is an English teacher at the Huaxi Public Health College of
Sichuan University. In May 2003, she was arrested at her home by Chengdu City
610 Office agents and was detained in the First Detention Center in Chengdu
City. Later she was sentenced to a four year term by the Wuhou District Court
and was imprisoned in Jianyang City Women's Prison in Sichuan Province. 8. Ms. Practitioner Fang Hui Sentenced to Three and A Half Years Ms. Fang Hui, about 40 years old, is a teacher of Foreign Language at Sichuan
University. Because she went on a hunger strike to protest her persecution, she
was brutally tortured in the prison, which made her so frail that she was not
able to take care of herself. Later she was sentenced to three and a half years
of custody outside prison. One and a half years after leaving the prison, she
still could not walk steadily, her vision was still blurred, and it was
difficult for her to speak. She now lives with her son in dire circumstances. 9. Mr. Practitioner Wang Haibo Sentenced to Three Years by the Wuhou District
Court Mr. Wang Haibo has a PhD in mathematics and is an associate professor at
Sichuan University. In 2002, right before the Chinese Communist Party's 16th
Party Congress, he was arrested at his home and his home was ransacked. Both his
hands and feet were cuffed and he was deprived of sleep for four days and
nights. He was sentenced to three years and imprisoned in Wumaping Prison, in
Muchuan County, Leshan City, Sichuan Province. Personnel who persecuted Wang Haibo: Wuhou District Court:
