On the morning of March 10, 2008, Ms. Liu Shurong was doing housework, when two policemen arrived and forcibly carried her into a police vehicle and drove away with her. Liu Shurong is currently being held in a detention center.

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Li Runfang is being detained in the Xindain Forced Labor Camp in Taiyuan City. Her three-year term has officially ended. However, the labor camp still has not released her.

At about 9:00 a.m. on March 11, 2008, several Siping police officers went to the home of Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wei Guiqin and took her to the Huangtukeng Street Police Station in Tiedong District, Siping City. The police confiscated truth-clarifying posters and some truth-clarifying CDs. On the afternoon of March 12, Ms. Wei was sent to the Siping Detention Center.

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wang Xufang is about 45 years old and lives in Yumin Township, Yushu City, Jilin Province. On February 24, 2008, Ms. Wang Xufang was arrested by officers from the police station of Yumin Township. She is now being detained in the Yushu City Detention Center. Her children were left at home and no one is taking care of them. Her husband plans to sell the house and find a living as best he can.

On the afternoon of March 7, 2008, two officers from the Daming County Police Department, pretending to be building staff, went to the home of Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Tong Ruiqing to gather information on him. They said they were inspecting the water and electric facilities. On the next afternoon, the Daming County Police Department dispatched five vehicles and about two dozen policemen to Mr. Tong's home. The police took away a computer, a printer, about 50,000 yuan in cash and a bank book with 60,000 yuan. At that time, Mr. Tong was not at home. The police took away his family members as hostages.

On the afternoon of March 9, the police sent Mr. Tong's daughter-in-law Ms. Bai Shunfeng and his granddaughter Ms. Tong Xiaoning to the Wandi Detention Center in Daming County. His other granddaughter Ms. Tong Xiaokai and grandson Mr. Tong Tielong were released.

At the same time, the police also searched Mr. Tong Ruiqing's home in his hometown. His 90 year-old mother was terrified, and this fright affected her daily life for several days.

In March 2008, Ms. Xia Yulan, Ms. Mou Caifang and another Falun Gong practitioner, who live in the family housing of the Tianyuan Chemical Factory in Maoershi, Jiangbei District, Chongqing City, were taken away. Ms. Xia Yulan and Ms. Mou Caifang have been sent to the Shizishan Forced Labor Camp in Jiangbei District.

On March 4, 67-year-old Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Xiang Yongzhen from Jiangbei District went to the Daping Hospital in Yuzhong District to read the book Zhuan Falun to a patient. He was taken away to the Liudianzi Detention Center in Daping, and his family members are not allowed to visit him.

At noon on March 15, 2008, seven or eight policemen from the Qingzhou City Police Department forcibly put Qingzhou Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wang Xiuhua into a police vehicle and sent her to the Qingzhou Detention Center.

At 10:30 a.m. on March 17, 2008, the Dadukou District Court in Chongqing City sentenced Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Liu Yalin to three years and six months of imprisonment. Mr. Liu is now being detained in the Dadukou District Detention Center.

Mr. Liu Yaling, 61, is a retired employee of Yongchuan Auto Transportation Company in Chongqing City. He lives in Unit 84, Building 27, Suokouqiu, Dadukou District. Since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started the persecution of Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, he has been illegally detained and sent to labor camps and subjected to other forms of persecution. In the Xishanping Forced Labor Camp, he was inhumanly tortured. On June 1, 2007, Hua Yong and about 20 or 30 policemen from the Dadukou District National Security Team searched Mr. Liu Yalin's home and took him away.

At 4:00 a.m. on March 11, 2008, the Dongguan Police Station sent Ms. Liu Yanxia to the Liuchangshan Brainwashing Center. Her current whereabouts is unknown.

On March 6, 2008, two older female Falun Gong practitioners from Tangshan City, each about 60 to 70 years old, clarified the truth in the Hehuakeng Market and met a woman who wanted to study Falun Dafa. On the next day, when they went to deliver books to that woman, they were taken to the Yonghong Bridge Police Station by plainclothes police. Later, the two practitioners were sent to the Qiaotun Police Station. On that day, one practitioner's home was searched. They have now been released.

Ms. Gao Guiling and Ms. Mo Yuhua, both in their fifties, were arrested on March 3, 2008. They are now being held in the Shenyang Detention Center.

At about 8:00 a.m. on March 13, 2008, police from the Mazhang District 610 Office and the Zhiman Police Station in Zhanjiang City broke into the homes of Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Zheng Caiyun and Ms. Zhong Yamei and took them away.

Ms. Song Fengzhi and Mr. Hou Xiuwen, both in their fifties, are Falun Gong practitioners in Bianbian Village, Guocun Township. On the night of March 15, 2008, they were threatened by villagers while they distributed truth-clarifying materials in Chenbian Village, Xinzhongyi Town. Later, they were taken away and detained in the Xinzhongyi Police Station for one day and one night. On the afternoon of March 16, they were transferred to the Renqiu City Detention Center.

At about 10:00 a.m. on March 12, 2008, Ms. Yuan Yue'e, Ms. Du Guiru and Ms. Zhao Shuqing were at Ms. Sheng Guilan's home. The head of the Tianhe Police Station in Shulan City personally led a group to arrest Ms. Du Guiru and Ms. Zhao Shuqing. At 3:00 p.m. on the same day, the police went to Ms. Yuan Yue'e's home and took her away.

Mr. Wang Junxiao was an employee of the Bohai Petroleum Institute in Tanggu, Tianjin City. In September 2004, he was deprived of his job and sentenced to four years of imprisonment because he posted truth-clarifying materials. In September 2007, he was released to return home.

On March 6, 2008, personnel from the Bohai Petroleum Public Security Section and police from the Tianjin City Police Department surrounded Mr. Wang Junxiao's home. Using the excuse that Wang Junxiao left via the main gate but did not properly report to them, they went into his home and threatened him. Even a person who was at Mr. Wang's home helping him with a job application was harassed and threatened. Mr. Wang's job application was also destroyed.

Mr. Zhang Deming is a Falun Gong practitioner in Xiaoying Village, Baigou Town, Gaobei Dian, Baoding City. He left his home during the persecution in order to avoid being arrested. On March 10, 2008, the police went to the apartment he rented and took him away. His desktop computer, one CD burner, two ink-jet printers, two laser printers and other property were also taken away. Mr. Zhang's whereabouts are unknown.

In February 2008, under secret orders from the Jilin City 610 Office and the Jiaohe City 610 Office, police from the Minzhu Street Police Station in Jiaohe City intensified the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in advance of the 2008 Olympic Games to be held in Beijing.

One day at around 10:00 p.m., several policemen and the director of a neighboring committee went to harass a local Falun Gong practitioner.

On February 28, 2008, Chen Gang, deputy director of the Qiezihe District Police Department in Qitaihe City, led police to break into the home of Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Yan Jingzhu and arrested him. Mr. Yan is currently being detained in the Qitaihe No. 1 Detention Center.

On March 7, 2008, police from the Guan County Police Department broke into and searched a resident's home on the second floor in Sanlizhuang. At that time, only a teenager was at home. The police put the teenager into the police vehicle and detained him in the Guan County Detention Center.

The mother of Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Teng Weiqiang went to the Gongzhuling Prison to visit her son many times. The guards always rejected her request for a visit because she also practices Falun Gong. During the same period, Mr. Teng's family deposited three hundred yuan for him. Later, it was reported that the prison personnel had pocketed the money.

At 9:00 a.m. on March 14, 2008, Liu Yongquan from Xiliucun Township Government of Zunhua City, along with three local police officers, went to search the homes of Falun Gong practitioners in Puchihe Village. They tore down the Chinese couplets on the doors and burned them. They also took away satellite receivers, Master's pictures, a calendar, "Minghui Weekly," MP3 players, and other items.

Mr. Zhao Mingchen, 64, is a Falun Gong practitioner from Aji Village, Aji Town, Tieling County. On the morning of March 4, 2008, he was reported while he was clarifying the truth. Police from the Aji Town Police Station took him away. He is currently being detained in the Tieling County Detention Center.

Police from the Guangmingshan Police Station in Zhuanghe, Dalian City arrested Mr. Wang Zhongliang and sent him to the Zhuanghe Detention Center. His family members are not allowed to visit him.

After being illegally sentenced by the Lingyuan Court, on the morning of March 11, 2008, Ms. Li Jingfang, Mr. Li Zhanguang, and Mr. Liu Jincheng were sent to the new arrival team of Jinzhou Prison.

On December 14, 2007, Ms. Zhou Ruilan was arrested by police. She has been detained in the Langfang Brainwashing Center. Recently, she has had symptoms of heart disease and hypertension. However, the police still refuse to release her.

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhou Daiju lives in Daciyi Village, Zengcun Town, Gaocheng City. At 9:30 a.m. on March 13, 2008, when she was at home having a meal, three or four policemen from the Zengcun Police Station seized her and took her to the Gaocheng City Detention Center.

On the morning of March 17, 2008, police from the Huayuan Police Station in Nangang District, Harbin City arrested Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Liu Shunsheng. They also ransacked his home.

On March 3, 2008, Harbin Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Qin Lanyan picked up a flyer on the road in front of Ship College. She read the flyer and put it on a windowsill. Someone saw her do this, and she was reported and arrested by officers from the Xinjian Police Station. Ms. Qin Lanyan was beaten. Now she is being detained in the Suihua City Detention Center.
