(Clearwisdom.net) This is the story of a couple about sixty years of age,
who are new Falun Dafa practitioners. Since the very beginning, they have
understood the cultivation process of looking inward, and believe firmly in
Master and Dafa.
Predestined Relationships Revealed
Last fall, a retired couple traveled a great distance to visit their
relatives in Yanbian in order to learn the facts about Falun Dafa. Their
relatives, together with a few other Dafa practitioners, answered all of their
questions patiently and compassionately. They clarified the truth
about the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) persecution of Falun Dafa using
personal experiences.
They were also give copies of the book Zhuan Falun. They
were truly happy to obtain it and could not put it down. They replaced the old
protection cover of the book with a new one and started reading right away.
Before finishing the book, one of them said, "This is such a great Dafa.
Why didn't you tell us about it earlier? We have been in the dark for so many
years. Jiang Zemin and his CCP are destroying our people and nation, aren't
they? Persecuting Dafa practitioners who cultivate 'Truthfulness, Compassion,
Tolerance' is truly evil."
The wife said, "I have been a Buddhist for many years. I just worshiped
Buddha every day without reading a single piece of Buddhist literature."
She held Zhuan Falun in her hands, saying, "I will not put down this
Dafa for the rest of my life."
A practitioner told her, "Due to the CCP's destruction and blockades,
Dafa books are in really short supply. Master taught us that cultivation starts
from being a good person who thinks of others first. This Dafa is extremely
precious. Think about this, for years we have been isolated from each other and
then we stopped communicating. Why at this time are you coming to Yanbian,
wanting to know about Falun Gong? Why you are so happy with the Dafa book and
cannot put it down? This was great Master's arrangement. All of us have a
predestined relationship with Dafa."
Standing Tall in the Face of Evil Persecution
A nine-day Falun Gong seminar was held for these new practitioners, where
they listened to an audio recording of Master teaching the Fa in Guangzhou and
learned the five sets of exercises. One day when this couple and another new
practitioner were practicing together, the tape player abruptly stopped. They
were all surprised: someone had pulled out the power cord, but the door was
locked. Who did this? In a few days, someone repeatedly came to threaten them,
saying, "Someone knew you were all practicing Falun Gong and a police car
came. Reporting one Falun Gong practitioner could lead to a reward of 3,000
yuan. Some people were arrested and some people were
sentenced." However, the couple was not frightened. Fellow practitioners
shared with the couple that it is very difficult for a person who wants to
cultivate and you would not succeed if you were not protected by Master's Law
Bodies. The old forces in other dimensions will interfere with you and cause you
to fail. So this couple said, "Then we shall cultivate and get rid of our
attachment of fear, and the more interference we get, the more persistent and
diligent we will be in our cultivation." Practitioners together with this
couple sent forth righteous thoughts to successfully eliminate the interference.
Doing the Three Things Wholeheartedly
Fellow practitioners studied Master Li's "Teaching the Fa at the Western
U.S. International Fa Conference" with the couple. Through Fa
study, they understood the uniqueness of Dafa practitioners during the Fa-rectification
period. After they obtained the Fa, they took copies of Zhuan Falun and
Master's articles, as well as many truth-clarification materials, and then
returned home.
Three months later, some practitioners visited the couple to see how they
were doing in their cultivation and found very noticeable changes in them. In
the past they looked sickly, and they had both been hospitalized. The husband
was close to death the previous year, and was humpbacked and bald. In just a few
months, their skin became softer, their complexion was healthy, their minds were
clear and they were in high spirits. They walked lightly and energetically. The
husband was no longer humpbacked and on top of his head there were some new,
short and dense black hairs growing. He looks at least ten years younger.
They said that the first thing they did after they arrived home was to remove
the Buddha images they worshiped in the past and respectfully invited Master's
Law Bodies. They proudly said, "We take the three things that
Master requested as the first and most important things. We start practicing the
five exercises at 3:50 a.m. every day, send forth righteous thoughts at 6:00
a.m., and then do our morning washing (washing their hands before studying), and
after that, we study the Fa in the lotus position." At the very beginning
of their practice, they were able to practice for two hours with a lot of
hardship. No matter how painful it was, they persisted. The wife was only able
to sit in half lotus at the beginning, but now she can sit in full lotus. After
they did these things, they cooked and ate their breakfast. They began
clarifying the truth and helping people to quit the CCP and its related
organizations every day, and they have not stopped. Their respect for Master and
the Fa is obvious.
They integrated their Fa study and xinxing cultivation, focusing
on looking inward when they encounter problems, and they have improved a lot.
People who are familiar with them see that they are different people now, so the
couple takes this chance to clarify the truth to them. We are all Master's
students. As veteran practitioners who have known the Fa for so many years, how
did we do? On this golden, shining road of cultivation that great Master
created for us, do we have attachments to seeking comfort and relaxation? How
many attachments have we not let go of? During the Fa-rectification Period, we
cannot let great Master worry about us any more!
