To Save Sentient Beings, We Must Be Diligent and Truly Cultivate

(Clearwisdom.net) Looking back on my path of validating Dafa and saving sentient beings over the past year, I can see a lot of my own inadequacies and many things that I did not do well. Very often I was busy with ordinary people's things, did not spend sufficient time on Fa study, and did not study the Fa with a clear mind. As for clarifying the truth, I often thought about what "methods" to use so that non-practitioners could easily accept my words. I was afraid that they would not accept my truth clarification, so I was searching for the "perfect" opportunity. This preoccupation caused me to hesitate in clarifying the truth. Only now, as I write this sharing, can I carefully examine my shortcomings with a clear mind. Now I feel that those concerns were instead attachments, human notions that I did not get rid of.

Previously, I felt that time was tight, and so I felt I had to rush to go out and clarify the truth. Rushing is also an attachment, however. When an attachment is created, righteous thoughts are not strong, and so during this period of time I was actually slacking off. My current understanding is that I must study the Fa more in order to save sentient beings, strengthening my righteous thoughts. Only when the righteous thoughts are strong can our words have the effect of touching people's hearts. Righteous thoughts are crucial. When righteous thoughts are strong, a single sentence may lead someone to know the truth. When our righteous thoughts are not strong or when we have other notions, it will not achieve the proper effect. Another understanding of mine is that in order to save sentient beings, besides strong righteous thoughts, cultivators should not have any human notions, and we should thus validate the Fa in a very calm manner. The best state is one in which we have very strong righteous thoughts, all the time. These strong righteous thoughts come from additional Fa study. Previously, I did not study enough Fa. Teacher has stressed this many times. Now that I have realized my shortcomings, I know what to do. For some people, as I clarify the truth to them, I need only give them some software to break through the Internet blockade, and they themselves will know what to do next. For others, though they know the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) is bad, when I tell them of the Three Withdrawals [withdrawing from the Communist Party, the Youth League, and the Young Pioneers], they remain indifferent. Some of them even reject the Three Withdrawals. I feel that those people still do not know the truth, and I am often worried for them. Now I consider this to be an attachment, an attachment to those people who have not been saved.

Strengthen righteous thoughts, clarify the truth to every sentient being that we encounter, save those who can be saved, and for those who do not listen, do not be attached, as there are many more people waiting for Dafa practitioners to clarify the truth. Now I realize that while clarifying the truth, strong righteous thoughts are truly important. When clarifying the truth without strong righteous thoughts, one will not achieve the proper effect, and this will cause regrets later on. When we do have these strong righteous thoughts, and as appropriate for the given situation, choose the right time and method to clarify the truth, then there can be nothing to regret.

When we do not study the Fa diligently, our righteous thoughts are not strong, we do not do well the three things, and truth clarification will not be very effective. After paying attention to Fa study, we may realize that our surrounding environment changes subtly. Many things will begin to go smoothly. Constantly sending forth righteous thoughts also benefits the other people around Dafa practitioners. My wife used to be against my study of the Fa. Now when I read Zhuan Falun, she will listen. Sometimes she even reminds me to study the Fa and do the exercises. I know that Teacher is reminding me through her.

In the course of our truth clarification we may find many of our own shortcomings. When we can clear our minds and analyze what we have done, we will then find that time is more and more urgent. Falun Gong practitioners' responsibilities are extremely important. As I write this, it seems that I can see a certain image: A Falun Gong practitioner carries two baskets, and he bends over to pick up from the ground groups of ordinary people who have come to understand the truth, none of whom stand any taller than about half of one of his fingers. The practitioner then puts them into the baskets. The baskets have already grown heavy, yet there are still so many people left on the ground. In a wriggling mass like an ant swarm, anxious to be saved, they open their arms and rush towards the Falun Gong practitioner's hands. Standing a little further away are others who are waiting to listen to truth clarification. The Falun Gong practitioner's hands emit a very pure light, but the people standing behind his hands are still hesitating, uncertain and irresolute. Those standing even further away are on their last breath, or already dead. Although there are not a lot of people who have not yet heard truth clarification, there is so little time left to give them the opportunity that we cannot be preoccupied with each of those who have heard but are still hesitating.

This morning after I had just finished writing this sharing, a predestined person came by. She was chatting with my co-worker and mentioned Falun Gong. I knew this person was arranged by Teacher to listen to the truth. As I explained the truth to her, I still showed some inadequacies, and my righteous thoughts were not very strong. Yet the results were still good in that she listened to the truth and she got the software to break through the Internet firewall.

My vow is to assist Teacher's Fa-rectification in this world. In my heart I have countless times inscribed the things I should do well, some of which I have not done well previously, and which I must do well now. Time is tight; we must grab hold of it and do all that Dafa practitioners must to do.
