(Clearwisdom.net) Using "Security for the Olympics" as an excuse, Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials in Jilin Province have been arresting large numbers of Falun Gong practitioners since April 23, 2008. According to inside information, an order was given that if anyone went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong and was arrested, the mayor of the city where the person comes from would be removed from office. The following are details about this most recent round of persecution in Jilin Province.

At 4:00 p.m. on April 23, 2008, police from the Tuchengzi Police Station in Longtan District, Jilin City, illegally arrested practitioner Li Shigang when he was picking up his child from school. Without anyone present, the police searched Mr. Li's mother-in-law's garage. At 6:00 p.m., the police broke into Li's brother-in-law's house (where Li and his family temporarily lived) with a blank search warrant. When questioned on the legitimacy of the warrant, the police filled out the warrant at the scene and continued the search. Li Shigang's whereabouts are currently unknown.

On April 23, 2008, police from the Jilin City Public Safety Bureau and the Hadawan Police Station arrested practitioner Hou Chunhua from home along with Mr. Hou's family members who are not practitioners - Guo Yunchun (Hou's niece) and Guo's husband Zhao Chenglu. The police unlawfully confiscated 30,000 yuan (US$4500) in cash and a prepaid cell phone card that cost 10,000 yuan (US$1500).

The police tortured Mr. Zhao and Ms. Guo in the police station to extort confessions. The same day, practitioner Zhang Min, Hou Chunhua's sister-in-law, was arrested. She is now locked in the Jilin City Detention Center.

In the evening on April 23, six police officers from the Nanjing Street Police Station in Jilin City arrested practitioner Shi Jingyu from her home. The police searched her home and confiscated some of her property.

At 6:00 p.m. on April 24, 2008, officers from Domestic Security arrested Chen Youli and his wife Wang Jieping from their home. They searched their house and confiscated many Falun Gong books and materials. The couple are facing an illegal trial.

(2) Practitioner Xin Xiuyun from Jilin City Arrested

At 5:00 p.m. on April 23, 2008, police from Jilin City Public Safety Bureau arrested practitioner Xin Xiuyun on her way home and took her away in a white van.

At 9:00 p.m., officers from the Jilin City Public Safety Bureau and the Yujie Police Station went to Ms. Xin's home to search and confiscate her property. They took away a laptop, two printers, books and CDs. The police even detained Ms. Xin's employers Zhang Guangling and her husband Kou Yingwu to interrogate them. They were denied family visits.

At 5:00 p.m. on April 23, 2008, two police officers from the Jilin City Xiangyang Police Station, with a list of Falun Gong practitioners in hand, harassed practitioners based on the list.

(3) Practitioner Li Xiangde's Family and His Brother in Jilin City Arrested

Practitioner Li Xiangde, his son and his wife were arrested at 8:00 p.m. on April 24, 2008, from their home. Mr. Li's second older brother was also arrested. The police confiscated Li's computer, a laptop, a printer, a color inkjet printer, a CD burner, and a box of blank CDs.

(4) Practitioner Zhang Yanli from Jilin City Arrested

On April 23, 2008, several officers from the Jilin City Public Safety Bureau and Director Hu from the Xinjilin Police Station broke into practitioner Zhang Yanli's home and confiscated her property. The police took away her CDs and Falun Gong materials. They arrested Ms. Zhang and tortured her in an attempt to get information about other practitioners.

According to Ms. Zhang's family, she may be detained in the Jilin City Detention Center.

(5) A Dozen Practitioners in Jiaohe City Arrested

Recently a dozen practitioners in Jiaohe City, Jilin Province, were arrested. They include: Liu Jiang and his wife, Wang Junjie, Guo Shuqing, Li Zhenhua, and Liu Baochun and his wife Jia (first name unknown). Police had searched Li Zhenhua's house and confiscated many items.

On April 24, 2008, practitioner Wang Junjie was arrested from his home in Jiaohe City.

Guo Shuqing was arrested on April 24, 2008. This was her second arrest following her arrest on March 17, 2008, when she was watching TV at her home. Ms. Guo's husband Yang Xiaohai was taken to the Shiling Prison in Siping four years ago and is still imprisoned.

(6) Many Practitioners in Gongzhuling City Arrested

Officers from the Siping National Security Division, Changchun National Security, Gongzhuling Public Safety Bureau Domestic Security Brigade, and several police stations started large scale arrests of Falun Gong practitioners on the evening on April 23, 2008. Currently, there have been five practitioners arrested: Li Hongjun, Yan Lifei, Qu Yaping, Zhang Lihua, and Song Zhihong. Many practitioners were harassed. The police officers who did the actual arrests and illegal searches were from the Dongsan Police Station, Liufangzi Police Station, and the Hebei Police Station in Gongzhuling City.

Police from the Dongsan Police station in Gongzhuling City arrested Li Hongjun and his wife Yan Lifei when they were on their way to pick up their child. The police took away the keys to their house and performed an illegal search. That night Ms. Yan was transferred from the Dongsan Police Station to the Guowen Hospital. On the 24^th, the police informed her family to pick her up from the hospital.

Seven police officers went to practitioner Qu Ping's home and arrested her. The police confiscated cash (amount unknown). Practitioners Xiaolu and his wife from Liufangzi City escaped the arrest that night. Police searched their house and confiscated a computer and several cell phones.

Ms. Liu Jiaxia (40 years old) from Guojiadian, Lishu County, was arrested in the evening on April 23, 2008, leaving her elderly parents who cannot take care of themselves at home.

On the night of April 22, 2008, many strangers entered Changchun Falun Gong practitioner Yan Xiaojie's home, and police car waited outside. At that time, Gao Shuyu, Yan Xiaojie, and Yue Xinying were together. During that time, Yue Xinying and Gao Shuyu disappeared. Another practitioner is named Le. Le's elder sister went to Le's home, found cigarette butts on the floor, a notebook missing, and Le had disappeared. When she tried to contact Le's friend Bai Yuping, she found that she was also missing. Yan Xiaojie and Yue Xinying used to repair printers at the "Europe and Asia Science and Technology City"; Falun Gong practitioner Le works in a supermarket; Gao Shuyu is retired; Bai Yuping is an accountant.

After 7:00 p.m. on April 22, 2008, over ten police officers broke into the home of Falun Gong practitioner Bai Yuping. Her husband came home after 9:00 p.m., found the home in a mess, and then found out that Bai Yuping had been taken away to a police station in Luyuan District. On April 23, her husband saw Ms. Bai at the police station.

On April 23, 2008, Changchun City Public Security Bureau, Public Security Department director general ordered Changchun City Shuguang Road Police Station to arrest 12 people working on the ninth floor of the "Europe and Asia Science and Technology City", and the fourth floor of "Changjiang Road Technology City". Practitioner Li Jingsong was one of them. It is said that they have monitored those floors for many days, and that many plainclothes police are watching the two shop fronts of the "Europe and Asia Science and Technology City" and other shops on Changjiang Road.

Yan Lijie has not came to work for several days. Yan's family is under major duress, since plainclothes police keep coming and going.

On the morning of April 23, 2008, Li Jingsong, who repairs printers at the "Europe and Asia Science and Technology City" was taken away by plainclothes police (this has been confirmed by someone who wishes to remain anonymous). Plainclothes police were still waiting around the repair center on April 24. People also saw plainclothes police at "Changjiang Road Technology City" on April 24.

According to staff of "Changjiang Road Technology City," the following occurred: On April 24, 2008, a male Falun Gong practitioner buying discs in the "Changjiang Road Technology City" was arrested by plainclothes police. When the Falun Gong practitioner loudly shouted, "Falun Dafa is good", he was beaten up by special agents, and some shop assistants who did not know the truth also helped police.

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Chen Jingyu, 38 years old, works on the ninth floor repair center of the "Europe and Asia Science and Technology City." She was arrested by the Nanguan District National Securty Brigade and Central Security Bureau on April 23, 2008, and sent to Shuangyang No. 3 Detention Center on the same day. Li Jun of the Nanguan District National Security Brigade led the arrests in the "Europe and Asia Science and Technology City." The number of people arrested are unknown, but the staff of the Public Security Bureau said, "We have tracked them for a long time, and now we have finally closed the net."

Changchun Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhao Xiuying, 56 years old, was arrested by plainclothes police at the "Europe and Asia Science and Technology City" around 11:00 a.m. on April 22.

Some time after 9:00 a.m. on April 26, 2008, practitioner Wang Dongbiao was arrested when he went to the "Europe and Asia Science and Technology City" to do business. After 1:00 p.m., police took Wang Dongbiao to his residence (he lives with his mother-in-law), and there they conducted an illegal search.

It is said that the Changchun City Public Security Bureau deceived lower level police officers with the lie that "Changchun City Falun Dafa practitioners want to collectively appeal at the provincial committee on April 25, and hold a big activity." The assigned duties were to seize practitioners in mass at every sub-branch and police station, until the end of the Olympic Games in Beijing.

Police officers from the Xisantiao Police Station, Kuancheng District, Changchun City secretly monitored Falun Dafa practitioner An Fengxiang, at 6:00 a.m. on April 24, 2008. When she opened the door to take her child to school, the police forced their way inside, searched her home and took Ms. An away without any reason. She was detained for 15 days

At the same time, officers from the Xisantiao Police Station and the Kuancheng District Police Station harassed a Dafa practitioner surnamed Zhu at home, and questioned Zhu about the residence of a practitioner surnamed Lu.

After 8:00 p.m. on April 23, 2008, officers from the Yijing Police Station, Hongmei Town, Meihekou City arrested Falun Dafa practitioners Song Zhonghua, Li Yuhua, and Li Yan.

After 10:00 p.m. on April 23, the Meihekou City Political and Judiciary Committee ordered officers from every police station to arrest Meihekou City Dafa practitioner Mr. Yu Wanquan, Heishantou Dafa practitioner Mr. Wang Anping (who has a disabled hand), and Mr. Ji Yunlong (who was planning on attending his son's wedding on April 27).

After 8:00 p.m. on April 23, Meihekou City Falun Gong practitioner Yu Wanquan was taken away from home by police from the Tiebei Police Station. The police illegally took away over ten items including a computer, Falun Dafa books, an MP3 player, and a truth-clarification disc - without giving a receipt.

Meanwhile Hongmei Town Public Security Sub-bureau agents arrested Falun Gong practitioners Li Yan, Song Zhonghua, Li Yuhua, Wu Guijuan, Zhang Chunyan, Wang Anping, a practitioner surnamed Sui, elderly Mrs. Zhang and others. After 3:00 p.m. on April 24, while practitioner Gai Yongguang and Wang Xiujuan were not home, police illegally broke in, and confiscated three computers, three printers, two mimeograph machines, a satellite receiver, printing materials (total value of over ten thousand yuan), and about 500 yuan in cash. Now, Falun Gong practitioners Gai Yongguang and Wang Xiujuan (a married couple) have to leave home to avoid persecution.

Personnel who participated in this round of persecution: Hongmei Town Public Security Sub-bureau director Shao Zhuang, Dongsheng Street manager Ma Bensheng, police officers: over ten people including Wang Shouren, and Fang Laoliu.

Yitong County Maan Town Police Station manager Sun Xiaohui, household registrar Chen Fuzhen, Wang Jianguang, Xia Chengming, and Fan Yongjiang broke into Falun Dafa practitioner Zhao Fenglan's home at about 5:00 a.m. on April 23. They dragged Zhao Fenglan through a pile of mud. Many people nearby witnessed this abuse. The police, surrounded by witnesses, could not forcibly arrest Zhao Fenglan, so they urgently transferred over 20 people from the National Protection Brigade and the Criminal Police Brigade. Zhao Fenglan's relative tried to stop the police using reason, but the police threatened them with charges of "hindering official business." An hour later, the police dragged Zhao Fenglan into a police car. Zhao Fenglan was not even wearing shoes.

Around 5:00 p.m. on the same day, Yitong County Public Security Bureau deputy director Zong Guo colluded with police of Kaoshan Town Police Station and broke into the home of Falun Dafa practitioner Fan Zhongli. They carried Ms. Fan into police car before she could put on a jacket and shoes. When her family went to visit her, Zong Guo ordered them locked up until Fan Zhongli was sent away to another area.

After 10:00 p.m., when Falun Dafa practitioner Wang Jinbo arrived home, he was forcibly taken away by police who were waiting in the building security guard's room. His door keys were taken away and the police searched his home while no one was there. It is unknown whether any personal property was lost. The police threatened the elderly security guard not to tell anyone.

On April 24, three practitioners were forcibly sent to a Forced Labor Camp, but were rejected by the camp. They are now detained at Yitong County Detention Center. Police know they lack proper reason to hold them, so they sent out messages claiming that Falun Dafa practitioners were escaped criminals, that they had already issued a warrant for their arrest on the Internet, and that they were allowed to seize them "as necessary."

On April 23, more than 10 people from the so-called " National Security Police" of the Public Security Bureau of Lishu County, Jilin Province, the 610 Office and the local police station went to Falun Gong practitioner Liu Xixia parents' house in Guojia Town. They arrived with three police vehicles and illegally raided the house. The police knocked and pounded on the door, yelling and shouting.

Liu Xixia's parents are over 70 years old. Her father was paralyzed in bed with a stroke. Her mother was bedridden with illness. They could not withstand the intimidation and failed to open the door in a timely manner. One police officer jumped from the one-story house to the courtyard to open the gate. He suffered retribution for his evildoing and sustained a severe injury to his back. He was sent to the Guojiadian Town Sanatorium to be hospitalized immediately. The police officers rushed into the home without showing any credentials or ID and only said that some were from the county, some from the city and this was a unified maneuver. Then they started randomly searching the house, continuously tossing things about for over four hours, from 7:00 p.m. to after 11:00 p.m.. Not only did they confiscate personal property, but also more than 2,000 yuan in cash of the old man's living expenses were taken. Liu Xixia was taken away by the police.

Falun Gong practitioner Dai Jingbo from Lishu Town, Lishu County was taken away by agents from the County Public Security Bureau, 610 Office and the National Security Police between 3:00 and 4:00 p.m. on April 24, 2008. They kicked out the window of the building and seized Mr. Dai. Items of personal property were also taken away.

Since April 23, 2008, people from the Qian'an County Public Security Bureau and the local police stations of various villages and towns intruded into the homes of Falun Gong practitioners by tracking, following closely, and waiting in hiding. They broke into homes and abducted Falun Gong practitioners under the pretext of collecting signatures and fingerprints. They ransacked practitioners' homes if the practitioners refused to cooperated with their unreasonable demands. They illegally confiscated personal property. If they found anything related to Falun Gong, they arrested people and put them into prison.

Since 1999, many Falun Gong practitioners have been illegally arrested, among whom are Zhao Xiaoxia, Zhang Yungui, Liang Liying, Hu Xiqin, Yin Guifang, Zhang Wenbin, and others whose names are known, but under verification. Moreover, officers from the Shuizi Town local police station kidnapped a Falun Gong practitioner's family members and took them to the Qian'an County Detention Center in order to find the practitioner.

About 5:00 p.m. on April 23, 2008, National Security Police of the Tumen Municipal Public Security Bureau, Jilin Province and police from the Shiyan Township police station harassed Falun Gong practitioners in the Shiyan area. They ransacked their houses and arrested seven practitioners. An arm of one of the practitioner's family members was badly hurt in the illegal search and kidnapping. He was hospitalized in Tumen City. Afterwards four Falun Gong practitioners went back home. But Cao Guangming, Mr. Zhang Qingjun and his wife Zhang Shufen were sent to a detention center.

About 8:00 p.m. on April 23, officers from the Hongguang Township police station of Tumen City illegally intruded and seized Falun Gong practitioner Yang Chunli in Jizhong Village and confiscated a Buddhist image from her family. On the 24th, Ms. Yang was sent to the Tumen City detention center. Practitioner Zang Xiaoli was also illegally arrested by the township police station of Tumen City.

At about 4:30 p.m. on April 23, police from Shiyan, Tumen City attempted to arrest Qu Yulian and Chi Shuling. The community personnel tried to have the practitioners open the house gates, but they refused. After 5:00 p.m., Qu Yulian's older sister, brother, and younger sister came to Qu Yulian's dwelling and found these people blocking the entrance and they tried to reason with them. After the younger brother and the younger sister went to the younger brother's home, the police followed them and took them away.

On the morning of April 24, Qu Yulian and Chi Shuling fled. Qu Yulian's brother and sister went back home at about 5:00 a.m. on April 24. Shiyan police tried to force Chi Shuling's family members to look for Chi Shuling.

On April 25, 2008, practitioner Wang Caixia from Liangjiang High School, Antu County was taken away from home by agents from the Liangjiang police station. She is imprisoned in the Antu Detention Center.

On April 25, 2008, practitioner Wang Sihai from Dunhua, Jilin Province was arrested once again. He is illegally imprisoned in the Dunhua Detention Center.

Dafa practitioner Li Shiyan was taken away by personnel from the Bajilei police station on the afternoon of April 25. Ms. Li is from Shigan Village of Bajilei Township, Nong'an County, Jilin Province.

At about 2:00 p.m. on April 25, Ma Chuan, inspector of the Bajilei police station of Nong'an County, Jilin Province, led police officers to Li Shiyan's home and tried to force Ms. Li to sign on a paper that read, "I will not go to Beijing before and during Olympic Games." When she refused, they dragged Ms. Li, shoe-less, and put her into the police vehicle by force.

On April 24, 2008, a gang of police, including Yu Shishui, Gao Yuguang, Wang Jingxin, Wang Da, Gu Changyu from Anzhen police station of Shulan City went to Xinfa Village and ransacked the houses of Falun Gong practitioners. They arrested one practitioner surnamed Zhou. Afterwards they took away Xu Wenguo, who was at work, and ransacked his dwelling. He was only released after they did not find anything in his house.

On April 25, Falun Dafa practitioner Li Hongyan from Tianhe Street in Jishu Township of Shulan City was arrested at his home.

Recently, people from the Yushu Community Management Committee hired people who were laid off from work to go to the entrance of each building to paint over Dafa truth-clarification posters. Some police officers went to Dafa practitioners' residences to harass practitioners, trying to force them to sign something. If practitioners refused, the police threatened them with arrest. On April 24, police went to arrest 58-year-old practitioner Ms. Zhang Huabin from her home.

Before that, people from the local police station went to a Dafa practitioner's home in Yujia Village. They wanted practitioners to have their mug shot taken and give their fingerprints. If practitioners refused, the police took them away. These events have caused great interference to Dafa practitioners and their families.

At 8:00 p.m. on April 23, 2008, Falun Gong practitioner Wang Ronglan was arrested by people from the Dongchang Police Station. Practitioners who were at Wang's home - Wang Ping and Liu Baozhen - were arrested at the same time. The police confiscated rewritable DVDs and CDs from Wang Ronglan's home.

At about 3:00 p.m. on April 23, Falun Gong practitioner Qin Xiuli from Tonghua was arrested and taken to the Domestic Security Brigade in the Dongchang Police Sub-Bureau. On the evening of April 23, Tonghua City Falun Gong practitioners Zheng Liming, Yu Guihua and Yu Xiulan were arrested by police officers.

At about 3:00 p.m. on April 24, police officers from the Xinzhan Police Station in Tonghua City went to Falun Gong practitioner Ge Changlan's home. They asked her to go with them to the police station. At that time, Ms. Ge was babysitting her grandchild, so she said she would go there in a short while. At about 4:00 p.m., she brought her grandchild to the police station. At about 5:00 p.m., around six police officers from Xinzhan Police Station went with Ms. Ge to her home. They produced a search warrant, and then they confiscated a computer (which belongs to her son) two MP3s, and two copies of the "Minghui Weekly" from 2006. They then took Ms. Ge away. At about 7:30 p.m., her son went to the Xinzhan Police Station to look for her. People from the police station asked him to bring some clothes and food. So Ms. Ge's son went home and grabbed some clothes and some food, and then he went back and said to the police officers that he would stay there for a while to wait for his mom. Police officers said to him immediately: "You go back first, she will be okay; we'll call you after a while." Ms. Ge's son believed what they said, and went back to his home. At about 10:00 p.m., her son felt that he needed to go back to the police station, but he found nobody there but one person on duty. He asked where they took Ms. Ge, but the person on duty didn't know, so her son had nothing to do but go back home. He couldn't sleep the whole night.

Close to 8 o'clock, on April 25, Ge Changlan's son went to the Xinzhan Police Station to check into his mother's situation, but people from the police station said that those in charge hadn't shown up yet. They also told him to either wait for a phone call at home or come back later in the afternoon. He decided to stay there and keep waiting. In the afternoon, people from the Xinzhan Police Station called and told him that they had transferred his mother to the Tonghua County Detention Center, and asked him to bring his mother some clothes. In the afternoon, Ms. Ge's family went to the Tonghua County Detention Center. The people in charge of the detention center told them that they could only bring her some clothes, and there was no way that they could see her. So her family had to return home.

On the afternoon of April 23, a Falun Gong practitioner who is over 60 years old from Tonghua County was arrested from her home by police officers from Tonghua County. Ms. Wang's husband, who is over 60 years old, Zhu Wenming had a relapse of a heart condition and suffered a heart attack due to being frightened. He passed away after being taken to the hospital.

At about 8:00 a.m., on April 24, 2008, Falun Gong practitioner Song Guixiang from Tonghua City was arrested by police officers from the Guangming Police Station.

On the evening of April 23, 2008, Falun Gong practitioner Yan Fang was arrested from her home by police officers.

At about 9:00 a.m. on April 24, 2008, Yuan Zongyi and the deputy head of the police station from Guangming Police Station and another police officer broke into Falun Gong practitioner Cui Shuhua's home, Ms. Cui's great-grandma, who is over ninety years old, fainted and fell to the ground right away. Seeing this, Ms. Cui and her husband called an ambulance. At that time, there came another group of police officers. Ms. Cui's great-grandma was carried into an ambulance. The old lady's family members demanded that the police officers go along with them to the hospital, but the police left in a hurry. During the time when the 17^th Party Congress was held, Yuan Zongyi and other police officers had been to Cui Shuhua's home to harass her. At that time, her great-grandmother fainted then as well, and she ended up being hospitalized.

On the evening of April 24, a female Falun Gong practitioner by the last name of Ge from Dongqing Park was arrested by police officers from the Xinzhan Police Station. Her home was ransacked.

On the evening of April 23, 2008, about seven police officers from the Qianguo County Military Police Group and the Hongquan Township Police Station broke into Wang Dianxue's home. They forcefully searched his home and arrested Mr. Wang Dianxue and his wife Sun Shijie. They were taken to the detention center and were asked to hand in a meal fee for 15 days, which equals to 620 "yuan" for each person. On their way to the detention center, Mr. Wang managed to escape with righteous thoughts. There were many other practitioners arrested at the same time.

At 11:00 p.m. on April 23, 2008, police officers from the Qianguo County Police Station joined forces with officers from the Pingfeng Township Police Station, along with the secretary of the local CCP Committee Lu Shijun, and villager Zhen Liguo, and illegally broke into Dafa practitioner Jiang Gui's home. They arrested Jiang Gui and his wife after they found one truth-clarification DVD in their home.

On the same evening, police officers also arrested Zhang Lin from Xiaoshijiahu Township. Mr. Zhang managed to escape with righteous thoughts. Zhang's wife was illegally arrested because she attempted to protect her child's laptop.

At 2:00 p.m. on April 24, 2008, Falun Gong practitioner Duan Liange from Hongxing Farm in Qianguo County, was arrested at her home by the head of her local police station and another police officer. Currently, she is illegally detained at Qianguo County Detention Center.

On the evening of April 23, a few police officers from the Taohaotai Township Police Station in Songyuan City broke into Falun Gong practitioner Ju Guilan's home. They confiscated her personal belongings such as a computer, an MP4 player, Dafa books and a U-drive. They also arrested Ms. Ju and took her to the Qianguo County Detention Center.

On April 17th and 18th, under the pretext of checking IDs, CCP members from the No.1 Bureau of China Water Corporation in Kouqian Township, Yongji County illegally broke into Falun Gong practitioners' residences, where they forced practitioners to register their personal information. On the morning of April 25th, they started arresting practitioners and ransacking their homes in a massive way.

Led by Wang Yan, the former manager of the Security Department of the No.1 Bureau of China Water Corporation, police officers from the Domestic Security Brigade in Yongji County and the Chengnan Police Station arrested Cai Dingxun, a senior accountant for the No.1 Bureau of China Water Corporation. They also arrested his wife Ms. Qu.

Police officers also arrested Jiang Bo, Liu Zhongxin. and Liu Zhongxin's daughters, Wang Yanzhen and Guo Qingzhi. When they were trying to enter into Jiang Bo's home, they had to break the theft-protection door in order to break in. In addition, police officers illegally ransacked their homes. They confiscated Dafa books, Teacher's portraits, and Falun Gong practitioners' personal belongings, such as TVs and VCDs. Currently, those six practitioners are detained at Yongji County Xishan Detention Center.

Some time after 6:00 am. in the morning on April 25, 2008, policemen from Tao'nan City's National Security Team broke into Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Bai Li's home and arrested her. They ransacked her living spaces and took away a computer, Dafa books, and other items.

Two Falun Gong practitioners from Jiangyuan District, Baishan City, Ms. Li Xiuzhen (also called Xiaofang) and Xiaoping (a practitioner from another area) were arrested at around 2:30 p.m. on April 22 while they were making truth-clarification materials in the Chengqiang Post Office, Jiangyuan District. The police later ransacked Ms. Li Xiuzhen's home, thought it is not clear what they confiscated.

In the afternoon of April 23^rd, policemen from Jijia Township Police Station, Jiutai City, Jilin Province, broke into Ms. She Xiuyan's home and arrested her.

Songyuan City Chinese Communism Party members from all the neighborhood committee authorities checked residents' homes one by one using the excuse of checking for temporary residents. Even ordinary people who were visiting Falun Gong practitioners were required to show their ID cards; if they did not produce it, they would be taken away. In the evening of April 23, 2008, Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Bi Xiuren, Mr. Bao Xueli and Mr. Sun Zhixue from Sanjingzi Township, Songyuan City, were arrested.

In the morning of April 24^th, policemen from Yongping Township Police Station, Songyuan City arrested an ordinary person named Mr. Chen Lixin; he is detained in the Fuyu County Police Station. The police took his bankbook, a laptop, some discs and a printer.

Ms. Xu Hui, 46, is a Grade Two Geography teacher in the Dalinzi Township Middle School in Fuyu County, Songyuan City. During the morning of April 24, 2008, policemen from the Dalinzi Township Police Station arrested her during school hours and took her to Fuyu County. Nobody knows where Ms. Xu is now.

On April 25, 2008, Songyuan City Police Department policemen broke into a Dashan Township Dafa practitioner's home. The police arrested three practitioners, Ms. Zhao Guiping, Ms. Ji Yingzi and Mr. Liu Wanfang, and sent them to Songyuan City. Ms. Zhao Guiping was once sentenced to two years in prison and was severely persecuted in Changchun City Heizuizi Prison. She is now in the Songyuan City Detention Center.

On April 22, 2008, Songyuan City Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Xu Peng, Ms. Teng Xianru and Ms. Zheng Yanmei were arrested by Songyuan City policemen. Their cellphones and their relatives' phones were monitored by the police. It's reported that Ms. Teng Xianru fell from the fifth floor when the police were trying to arrest her. She was still in Jilin Oil Field Hospital as of April 26, and was reported to be in a very dangerous situation.

At around 9:30 in the morning of April 21, 2008, Officer Qi (gender and given name unknown) from Fanrong Police Station of Songjiang branch in Songyuan City broke into Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zheng Yanmei's home with the excuse of checking identification. The police asked Ms. Zheng Yanmei to go to the police station for further verification; Ms. Zheng refused to do so. The police suddenly found a Falun Gong truth-clarification flier and forcibly took Ms. Zheng away, as well as another lady who was visiting Ms. Zheng.

After 5 o'clock in the evening on April 21, 2008, Jilin Province Police Department personnel and one of the branches of the Ningjiang Criminal Team destroyed a truth-clarification materials production center in Songyuan City. They took an all-in-one copy-scanning machine, a computer, a printer and a great amount of blank discs and printing papers, plus some other items. The police arrested the property owner Mr. and Ms. Jiang and took them to the Shanyou Detention Center, where they are now.

It's reported that the police followed up on the Falun Gong practitioners who went to Changchun City to purchase blank discs to send to Songyuan City two weeks ago.

It's also reported that later on at 9:00 p.m. on April 21, four Falun Gong practitioners were arrested and taken to Shanyou Detention Center.

Between 8 and 9 o'clock in the evening on April 22, policemen from the Songyuan City 610 Office and from Caijiagou Police Station broke into Caijiagou Town in Fuyu County, and arrested Zhushan Village Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Yan Qingyu and Ms. Zhang Hongqin (a couple) and Shijiawaizi Village Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wang Yanzhang, and sent them to the Fuyu County Detention Center.

At 8:00 p.m. on April 23, CCP members in Songyuan City organized arrests for all Falun Gong practitioners from every town and township in Fuyu County. (It's said that not all of the participants were from the police department.) Practitioners who have been arrested are: Ms. Teng Xianru, Ms. Zhang Hongqin and Mr. Wang Yuanzhang from Zhushan Village, Caijiagou Town; Ms. Bi (over 70 years old) and Mr. Sun Shixue from Sanjingzi Town; Ms. Liu Shuqin from Baimianpu Village; Mr. Zhu Decai from Dongjiuhao Village; and Ms. Gu Guibo from Wujiazhan Town.

At 3:30 in the afternoon of April 18, 2008, practitioners from Jiapigou Town in Huadian City, Jilin Province, Mr. Wang Dewen and Ms. Gao Defen's home was ransacked. The police took their computer and other belongings, and arrested the couple. Officer Sun Kui (male), Officer Zhang Milin (male) and ten more policemen from the Jiapigou Town Police Station in Huadian City, Jilin Province organized the arrest. The next day, another three policemen came to Mr. Zhang Xuming's home and searched it over (only a child was at home at that time). They took Dafa books, took pictures of the phone book, and wiretapped his home.

When the practitioners' families asked the police where the practitioners were, Officer Zhang Milin said he didn't know. He said that male and female practitioners were detained separately and that their families were not allowed to see them.

Now, there are only two over 60-year-old seniors looking after two young children at home.

Practitioners Ms. Yu Shuqing and her husband were also arrested.
