A whole family of 65 members from a rural area of China respectfully wish Master a Happy Birthday

We have a big family of 65 persons in 4 generations. On the occasion of Master's birthday, our entire family of 65 persons respectfully bow to Master to express our grateful feelings to Master's enormous kindness and to express our grateful feelings to Master's endless kindness that have been over our entire family. We also sincerely wish great merciful Master Happy Birthday!

It has been a year and 3 months since our family learned the truth. We experienced countless interesting and fortunate things in the past over a year:

First, our old grandma of over 80 years old who has been in bed for over 17 years due to a stroke, got up from bed after she learned the facts of Falun Gong.

Then is the grandson's chronic dermatology was cured (medication had previously cost over 10,000 yuan)

3rd, our daughter-in-law's chronic headache and insomnia cured.

4^th, a nephew 68 years old fell off the roof when trying to repair his building, but didn't hurt anything at all.

5^th, the second grandson went to visit relatives riding a motorcycle while he was a little drunk. He fell into a deep pit on his way back home, but nothing's broken.

6^th, all of the 5 grandsons' wives have whatever boys or girls they want to have.

7^th, the great grandsons, are doing really well at school, especially the 3th one, he jumped from the 30^th to 12^th in the class;

Now we say "Falun Dafa is good" and "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance is good" every day!

I would like to tell the entire world that: people who obtained the Fa are the most fortunate people!

May 13, 2008, marks the ninth World Falun Dafa Day. Practitioners in Los Angeles celebrated the special day and Master's birthday at Santa Monica Beach on May 11, 2008.

It was a nice day in Los Angeles. The celebration started at 1:30 p.m. with a poem by Falun Gong practitioners. The performances continued with a resonant drum performance. Practitioners of different ages and ethnic backgrounds demonstrated the five sets of exercises. A host introduced the exercises and told how Falun Gong has spread to more than 80 countries. Many tourists stopped to watch the celebration, and some copied the exercise movements.

Practitioner Albert Roman introduced Falun Dafa, including its introduction in 1992, the five sets of exercises and the principle of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance."

Albert said when he was in China in 1998, he saw practitioners everywhere. The practice was very popular in China. There were more then 100 million Falun Gong practitioners around the world. He said that even though the practice is a peaceful cultivation that improves people's health, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched an illegal persecution of Falun Gong in 1999. To stop the wrongful persecution, Falun Gong practitioners have widely clarified the true story of Falun Gong.

Another practitioner, Dana, shared his personal experience of practicing Falun Gong. He was previously a heavy drinker and had several diseases. But his pursuit for meaning in life made him keep looking. When his landlord introduced Falun Gong to him, he studied it right away. After two months, all his diseases were cured, and he quit drinking. He felt very peaceful and began considering others before himself.

Martial arts is a wonderful part of Chinese culture. Li Youfu, who won a national martial arts championship in China in 1982, firmly believes that Falun Dafa is the great law of the universe that he has been looking for. He told the reporter that Falun Dafa was very precious and truly offered salvation to peoples' spirits. "More and more are learning the benefits of Falun Dafa."

Upon mentioning Master Li, quiet Mr. Li Youfu looked touched. He said, "I can feel Master has endured hardships beyond all imagination. Master wholeheartedly wants to save more people. I respect Master very much! That's why so many practitioners celebrate World Falun Dafa Day today. The CCP persecution is doomed. We have no interest in its power, but we have to expose its evil nature so that people can distinguish the good from the evil." He said many CCP insiders personally said Falun Dafa was great but dared not to declare it due to fear and pressure.

May 13, World Falun Dafa Day, is a special and solemn day when Falun Dafa practitioners from all around the world host a variety of celebrations to express their respect and gratitude to Master Li Hongzhi, and to display the beauty of Falun Dafa to the world.

Many citizens signed a petition calling for an end to the persecution and support human rights, at the signature drive locations in Chinatown, Central Park and City Hall. Many people expressed interest in the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and The Epoch Times newspaper, and about 20 Chinese openly announced quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations, the Communist Youth League and the Young Pioneers. Falun Dafa practitioners also made many small, colorful paper lotus flowers and gave to passersby, adding more pleasure and peace to this special day.

Starting from the central park in Ikebukura, the parade procession was led by the Divine Land Marching Band and marched through the flourishing streets before returning to the central park.

A few practitioners in the parade accepted interviews. Mr. Zhang Yang teaches in National University of Japan. He said Falun Dafa explained the magical experiences he had in his childhood. One of his family member's asthma was cured after practicing Falun Dafa for a few weeks, and he believes Falun Dafa surpasses modern science. Because they have benefited from Falun Dafa, Zhang and his family happily drove a long distance to Tokyo to join the parade.

Practitioner Zhou Jinhua said his family in China is still being persecuted because of their belief in Falun Dafa. He said, "Falun Dafa has been introduced to the public for 16 years. Outside of China, (Falun Dafa practitioners and supporters) can celebrate (World Falun Dafa Day) with parades and performances, but the practitioners in China don't have the freedom to do so, and to express their greetings to Master. I wish the violation of human rights in China will end soon, so the Chinese practitioners can have a free cultivation environment. I wish all the children of jailed Falun Dafa practitioners can live normal lives."

Ms. Li Peihua was excited when she talked about her own experiences with Falun Dafa that had improved her health and protected her and her family. Just a short time ago, someone in her family put a kettle of water on the range and then forgot about it. When she noticed this, the kettle was dry and red hot. Without thinking, she grabbed handle to put it aside and turned off the fire. To her surprise, her hand was not burned at all. Li said, "This is my own experience. I appreciate Master protecting me. I am very grateful to Dafa."

The park in Chinatown was chosen as the location to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day. The celebration attracted a big crowd since it was Mothers' Day as well.

At 11 a.m., a representative of the New England Falun Dafa Association gave an opening speech. He encouraged everyone to learn Falun Gong. He said, "knowing the truth will bring fortune. I hope all of you will remember that Falun Dafa is good, and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good. I wish for you all to have a wonderful future."

A series of performances followed his speech, such as the theatrical piece "Drummers of the Tang Court," saxophone music, guitar music, Falun Gong exercise demonstrations, a puppet show, Tang-style women's dance, keyboard piano music, a choir performance, a martial arts demonstration, waist drum and flute performances, and even cultivation experience sharing and a question and answer session. Minghui School students performed the lion dance, martial arts, recited Hongyin poems, and sang in the choir. Throughout the whole day, there were booths teaching Falun Gong, a Truthfulness- Compassion-Forbearance Art Exhibit, teaching people to fold paper lotus flowers, and booths collecting"One Million Signatures Opposing the Persecution."

Mr. David Chen came from New York, and he brought his mother from Boston, his daughters Hadley (6), and Shaylin (5), and his niece and nephew Karina and Nathan. The children were so happy watching the lion dance, they could not stop clapping. Mr. Chen expressed that he would like to learn more about Falun Gong when he has a chance. A couple from Asia had learned the Falun Gong exercises while touring Boston.

Mr. Rosair Marquis brought his mother. He said he knew the Communist Party was persecuting Falun Gong from media reports. He knows that Falun Gong is a peaceful practice that benefits both the mind and body, and he opposes the persecution. His mother is blind, so she listened to the performance.

Ms. Zhu was watching the show together with her relatives' child. She is 51 years old, and she left China when she was 22. She said she knew how miserably people lived under the CCP's rule, and she often saw Falun Gong practitioners doing the exercises in Chinatown and watched the Thirty Million Withdrawals from the CCP event, but she was not very clear on what Falun Gong was. That day, after the Falun Dafa practitioners explained, she finally learned that Falun Gong has spread over eighty countries worldwide and the origin and meaning of Falun Dafa Day.

Chinese traditional doctor Ms. Luo Xinglan came from Hong Kong twenty years ago; she had contact with Falun Dafa in 1995 and enjoyed the serene and calmness of the exercise music. She has been very sympathetic to practitioners being persecuted in China. She came to this celebration intending to show her support, and she brought her friends as well. She further learned about the cruel persecution and expressed her hope to be able to help practitioners in mainland China in various specific ways.

Ms. Jessica D'Alessandro lives in Boston. She had near death experience when she was 15, and after that she has been very interested in cultivation and upgrading mind nature. She knew Falun Dafa was the school that she had been waiting for when saw the Falun image two years ago. She said, "I am a true testimony of how Falun Dafa can improve the mind and body."

Ms. Li Ying, 72, is a practitioner from Boston. She said in her speech, "Thank you, our great and benevolent Master! Thanks to Falun Dafa! You liberated me from miserable illnesses, changed me from an unwise person to a blissful cultivator because both my mind and body are healthy! I hope that all of you will share my happiness from the bottom of my heart. Thank you, Master!"

Massachusetts state officials wrote congratulations and recognized "World Falun Dafa Day." Congressman Stephen F. Lynch presented a certificate of special congressional recognition. Senator John Tierney sent his best wishes to the annual World Falun Dafa Day celebration and expressed his concern for human rights in China, Jeannette A. McCarthy, Mayor of the city of Waltham, declared the week of May 11, 2008 to May 17, 2008, as Falun Dafa Week honoring Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, State Senator Richard Tisei extended Congratulations to Mr. Li Hongzhi in recognition of the 9th Anniversary of World Falun Dafa Day, and House of Representatives members of the state offered a official congratulatory document to Mr. Li Hongzhi and Falun Dafa recognizing the 2008 World Falun Dafa Day.

(Clearwisdom.net) To celebrate World Falun Dafa Day, Falun Dafa practitioners from Minnesota gathered in the square in front of State Government building in St. Paul City to clarify the truth on May 8, 2008.

It was a pleasant day with mild wind and white clouds in the blue sky. The music "Pudu" and "Jishi" were playing and the yellow banner "Falun Dafa" stood out against the sky. Many tourists and clerks from State government came to the information table asking for informational materials and bookmarks. A lady from State Government said, "I like your music, it makes me feel peaceful." Two tourists from Germany accepted bookmarks printed in German and they happily read it out, "Falun Dafa" "Truthfulness Compassion Tolerance."

Many students from various schools came to visit the State Government. Students came to the Falun Dafa information table and asked for bookmarks printed "Falun Dafa" and "The World Needs Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance." Many of them displayed a little badge "I support Falun Gong!" One teacher talked to a practitioner and learned the truth of the persecution. He took the truth-clarification materials and said, "I am going to talk about this in my class and let all students become aware of the happenings in China."

(Clearwisdom.net) In order to stop the Chinese Communist Party's violation of human rights, the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (CIPFG) launched the Global Human Rights Torch Relay (HRTR), calling on the international community to join together to end the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong and other citizens. On May 7, 2008, the Yilan County Legislature passed a motion for the County Council to sponsor the "Human Rights Torch Relay" in Yilan on June 3.

The motion was initiated by legislator Jiang Congyuan and signed and passed by all thirty-four members of the Legislature. The County Legislature will also appropriate 10,000 yuan to publicize this activity. All of the thirty-four members of the legislature signed their names on the "Million Signature Campaign against the Persecution," expressing with their practical action the strong local public opinion to end the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong.

On April 21,2008, County Magistrate Lu Guohua and the General Manager of the Council signed their names on the "Million Signature Campaign against the Persecution", condemning CCP persecuting Falun Gong. Mr Lu said he supports meaningful activities such as the HRTR and it is his honor to participate and sponsor it. He agreed to run during the activity and hoped residents in Yilan County would join the great project, receiving the torch and all run side by side.

Mr. Hong Tengxiang, the headmaster of Yilan Huideng Middle School, who has been assisting in the promoting of this campaign stated during the press conference in front of the County Legislature Building, "Yilan County Council is going to sponsor the Human Right Torch Relay activity when it arrives in Yilan. (Clearwisdom.net) On May 13, 2008, World Falun Dafa Day, the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (CIPFG) announced the latest records for the global "Millions of Signatures" petition campaign. As of May 12, 470 thousand signatures have been collected in 94 countries worldwide, urging the Chinese Communist regime to stop its persecution of Falun Gong.

On New Year's Day 2008, the "Millions of Signatures Global Campaign" was initiated in Hong Kong, calling for an immediate stop to the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong. Petitioners also called on their own governments, parliaments, the International Olympics Committee, the United Nations, as well as other international human rights organizations, to take immediate action to help Falun Gong practitioners in China regain their freedom and human rights.

In 2008, the UN Special Rapporteur on torture, Manfred Nowak, and Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Religion or Belief from the United Nations Commission on Human Rights, published an updated report, which clearly requested the Chinese Communist regime to fully explain the allegation of taking vital organs from Falun Gong practitioners. According to CIPFG, one of the main aims of the "Millions of Signatures Global Campaign" was to further expose to the international community the inhumane persecution suffered by Falun Gong practitioners in China, as well as gather the wills of people around the world to stop this human rights persecution, which has persisted for nine years.

Mr. Qiu Huangquan, a vice chair of CIPFG in Asia said, "Everyone is very concerned about the persecution which Falun Gong practitioners suffer, and want to do something to help. What we want to do is very simple, we will gather signatures and petition, urging the Chinese Communist regime to bring an unconditional stop to the persecution of Falun Gong. This campaign is very simple, but will be very powerful. As a matter of fact, many fights for human rights are carried out through simple actions of many people. Our campaign of petitions would definitely not be a waste of time, and it will be very powerful."

According to the latest statistics, in the five major continents around the globe, the largest number of petitions have been collected in Asia, where the campaign has been supported by elite people of various fields in society. For example in Taiwan, 490 government officials, including county governments, speakers and deputy speakers of government councils, members of parliament, members of the legislative council, as well as local government workers have signed in support. From the education field, a total of 103 principles from universities, high schools and primary schools, as well as university professors, have supported the petition. Furthermore, the petition has been signed by over 200 renowned people in society from legal, medical, business and the arts fields. As more people learn of the persecution, they join hands to support CIPFG's anti-persecution campaign, and many righteous people pro-actively helped to collect more petitions.

According to CIPFG representatives, the campaign will end on July 20, with the hope that tens of millions of people world-wide will join this call for justice, in display of respect for human rights and freedom of belief.

A total of about twenty people of all ages, including children, learned the Falun Gong exercises. After learning the exercises, they thanked the practitioners and left satisfied. Some talked to practitioners after learning the exercises and wanted to learn more about Falun Dafa. Mr. Jen was very excited about the exercises. He said he wanted to introduce to more friends to the practice and carefully wrote down the address of the group practice site on campus.

Besides teaching exercises, the practitioners also passed out many truth-clarification materials. Many people already knew about Falun Gong and expressed their concern over the Chinese Communist Party's persecution of the practice. "The Communists always persecute faith like that." said Acili from the Davis campus.

(Clearwisdom.net) Zhang Xiaoruan, a Falun Gong practitioner from Wuzhi County, Jiaozuo City, Henan Province, worked at the Yellow River Water Resource Control Bureau. Because he believed in Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance, and wanted to be a good person, he was persecuted during the past nine years. His family was devastated.

After the CCP began the persecution of Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, Zhang Xiaoruan was dismissed by his work unit and lost his job because he insisted on practicing Falun Gong. Yang Zhijun and other police officers from Wuzhi county often went to his home to harass him. He was monitored by plain-clothes police day and night.

Zhang Xiaoruan's son, Zhang Wenbin, was dismissed from Xiaoyuan Village School because he did not give up his practice of Falun Gong. In the village, he was often abused, and laughed at by other people. He was badly hurt at such a young age. He passed away on December 28, 2000, at the age of 14.

Zhang Xiaoruan was arrested by police officer Yang Zhijun and others. They took him to the United Security Team in Longyuan Township. He was illegally detained there for over 15 days and was not allowed to contact anyone.

In 2003, he was arrested again and detained at the brain-washing session at the former Armed Forces Department in Wuzhi county.

In 2005, Zhang Xiaoruan was arrested by officers from the Wuzhi police station and the national security team while distributing truth-clarification materials. He was illegally detained under the Laoqin River Bridge in Wuzhi for 15 days and was forced to watch videos slandering Dafa.

On January 19, 2006, three to four CCP cadres from Longyuan township went to his village to have a branch meeting. Zhang Xiaoruan went to expose what they were doing. He was kicked and beaten by the village cadres on the spot. He fell down to the snow ground and lost his consciousness. The cadres stopped their meeting and ran away.

Zhang Xiaoruan's wife could not endure the harassment from the police and divorced him.

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioners, Mr. Gao Weixi, Mr. Shi Guoliang, Ms. Wang Fuxia and Ms. Yang Defang from Changchun City, Jilin Province were illegally tried and harshly sentenced on April 29, 2008. This was after they had been held in detention for nearly a year. Among them, Ms. Wang Fuxia and Mr. Shi Guoliang, were illegally sentenced to nine-year prison terms. Mr. Gao Weixi and Ms. Yang Defang were sentenced to seven-year prison terms. Eyewitnesses said that the Nanguan District Court illegally tried another group of Falun Dafa practitioners, after they sentenced these four practitioners.

Practitioners Mr. Gao Weixi, Mr. Shi Guolaing, Ms. Yang Defang and Ms. Wang Fuxia were arrested on May 9, 2007. The Nanguan District Court and Changchun City Intermediate Court processed their case earlier this year. The case was rejected due to the lack of evidence.

The Changchun City Chinese Communist Party officials divided the several dozen Falun Dafa practitioners arrested on May 9, 2007, and secretly tried them in each Procuratorate. Among them, the Luyuan District Court and Nanguan District Court in Changchun City illegally tried and has severely persecuted Falun Dafa practitioners since 1999.

According to reliable sources, the Luyuan District Court in Changchun City secretly tried these Falun Dafa practitioners, who had been held for nearly a year, at 3:00 o'clock on April 30. The Chinese Communist Party officials ordered all concerned to attend this "public trial." However, they didn't notify the families of these Falun Dafa practitioners about the trial time.

The practitioners were arrested because they had gathered to hold a Fa conference. Most of the practitioners were illegally detained in the No. 3 Detention Center in Changchun City. The authorities tried hard to cover up how the Dafa practitioners were persecuted during the period of time they were held in detention. However, it is known that among the practitioners who were arrested on May 9, 2007, Ms. Wang Yuhuan, a retired employee, was persecuted to death, Mr. Feng Liping suffered broken bones due to beatings, and Ms. Chen Tong was sent to the hospital as the result of a brutal forced-feeding.

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong pracitioners Ms. Song Wenhua and Ms. Li Lixin of Tianjin City were arrested on January 25, 2008, and were detained at the Beichen Detention Center in Tianjin City. On February 4, they were given arrest documents. On the morning of April 25, they were illegally sentenced by the Beichen Court in Tianjin City. The judge only allowed two family members to attend. All other relatives and friends were not allowed to enter the court. The court also appointed lawyers.

Police officers barged into Ms. Song Wenhua's residence at around 2:30 p.m. on January 25, 2008. The excuse given was checking the residents. The police confiscated a computer, printers and other personal property. Because many Falun Gong related items were found in Ms. Song's house, she was detained and illegally incarcerated in the Beichen Detention Center by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) personnel.

On April 25 at 8:30 a.m., CCP personnel carried out a so-called "trial" in the Beichen Court. They claimed that Ms. Song Wenhua printed copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, as well as booklets to clarify the truth about Falun Gong, and other related Falun Gong materials. They also charged that she had tried to distribute these materials but was not successful, and she was charged with "attempting to commit a crime." She was sentenced to a minimum of three years and a maximum of five years of imprisonment. During the court session, the judge and lawyer repeatedly asked Ms. Song about details and made use of the fact that she was not familiar with the law to deceive her into admitting to her "crime." Ms. Song repeatedly insisted that the so-called evidence was fabricated and the amount of the materials they claimed to have found was not possible. However, the judge told her not to concentrate on the amount and only answer if she had the items in her possession.

During her defense, Ms. Song Wenhua said that all the people in the world need to have freedom of belief. The judge finally rebuked her and forbade her from speaking on this topic.

The lawyer told Ms. Song Wenhua to sign a piece of paper admitting to her crime. Ms. Song refused and said that she did not commit any crime and saw no reason to sign. The lawyer respected her decision.

When Ms. Song's daughter asked the lawyer why her computer was confiscated when no Falun Gong related materials were found on it, the lawyer replied that this was not an issue related to the court. He said that he had asked people from the police station, but they said that the computer did have Falun Gong related materials on it and was thus confiscated.

Ms. Li Lixin, who was arrested the same day as Ms. Song, was also sentenced in court on April 25. She was charged with the crime of installing a satellite dish to watch programs from New Tang Dynasty Television. Due to pressure from her family members, she was compelled to sign the court document, thus accepting the sentence.

Ms. Li Lixin was arrested on the afternoon of January 25, 2008. At around 2:00 p.m. that day, five police cars and dozens of police officers arrived at her house and forcibly confiscated her satellite dish and receiver, her desktop computer, a box of Falun Gong books, truth-clarifying materials, tapes and more. The night before, policemen from the Yixingfu Police Station went to her house to take a look and lied, saying that someone reported to the authorities that there were gambling sessions taking place at her house.

(Clearwisdom.net) High-ranking officials ordered the arrests of over eighty Falun Dafa practitioners in preparation for the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) 17^th Congress.

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Bai Ruixian, 48, is a resident of Xi'anzhuang Village, Dong'anzhuang Township, Shenzhou City. In October 2007, Ms. Bai and other residents of the village went to Tianjin City to work. They clarified the truth to people at the Shenzhou City Railway Station while they were waiting for the train to arrive. Police officers at the railway station noticed, and searched her. They then confiscated seven truth-clarifying brochures. The practitioners were taken to the Shijiazhuang City Railway Station where police officers tried to force them to make a so-called "confession" and tried to get Ms. Bai to tell them the source of the brochures. When she refused to do so, some of the police officers beat her about the face and shocked the rest of her body using electric batons. She was also forced to sit on an iron chair (1). At night, police officers put a mask on her head and put her in a car. After driving a long distance, they pulled her out off the car and pulled the mask off. They placed her in front of a pit and threatened her, "Even if we bury you alive today, no one will ever know. Are you going to jump into the pit on your own, or should one of us push you?" Ms. Bai said, "Although you are the ones who should be enforcing the law, you are actually violating the law. The Heavens will not permit you to treat good people like this forever."

When the police officers realized that she would not reveal the source of the brochures, they took her back to the railway police station. They then changed tactics and tried to find out where the brochures came from by not allowing her to eat for many days. She was also forced to wear shackles. Approximately 20 days later, she was taken back to the Shenzhou City Detention Center. The police tried to collect a bribe from her family in exchange for her release, but the family refused. Eventually, they sentenced Ms. Bai to a term at the Shijiazhuang City Forced Labor Camp.

On October 13, 2007, more than ten plainclothes police officers and security guards, headed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) secretary of Bingcao Township in Shenzhou City, and the director of a police station, went to Mr. Yu Lianhe's home in Puluo Village and ransacked it. Mr. Yu Lianhe was out of the town at the time and only his wife and child were at home. The police contingent entered the door, ordered the family to leave, and started a search. They took a satellite dish, a photo of Master Li, Dafa books, and one copy of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. They also took a certificate of deposit worth 8000 yuan, a residence permit, and ID cards. Before they left, they threatened Ms. Yu's wife, "If you don't tell us where you got the Nine Commentaries you shouldn't even think about getting back the residence permit, the ID cards and the certificate of deposit."

A couple of days later, township and village officials ordered Mr. Yu to come to the government office and notified him that he would have to pay a 10,000 yuan fine, but Mr. Yu did not cooperate. More than ten days later, at least ten officials in three cars, coming from different directions, intercepted Mr. Yu, who was on his way home from work. Mr. Yu was taken to the township government office and was told he needed to pay 10,000 yuan before he would be allowed to return home. Mr. Yu had already gone to the credit union and claimed that he had lost the certificate of deposit, so the officers were not able to access the money. However, the credit union required a certificate issued by township agents in order to give him the money. He had to agree to pay the township agency 8000 yuan to receive the certificate. Using this ruse, the officials managed to extort 8000 yuan from Mr. Yu before allowing him to return home.

The incidents listed represent only the tip of the iceberg, and the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners continues to this day. We appeal to all kind people to pay attention to the nine years of ongoing persecution in China. Together we will be strong and support the righteous.

(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 30 cities or counties in 11 provinces. In this report, 31 practitioners were subjected to brutal mistreatment during their detention and at least 57 practitioners were illegally arrested.

On April 20, 2006, Mr. Wang Bin was arrested while he was distributing truth-clarification materials and sentenced to two years of forced labor. On April 20, 2008, when Mr. Wang's family members went to the forced labor camp to take him home, camp officials extended Mr. Wang's term for an additional 210 days for no justifiable reason. At present, Mr. Wang is exhibiting symptoms of heart disease and passed out several days ago. On April 28, when his family members came to request his release, the forced labor camp refused to comply.

A practitioner from the No. 5 Division of the Dalian City Detention Center is on hunger strike to protest the persecution. Consequently, he is being confined in a "small cell" (1).

Mr. Wang Zhongliang from Dalian/Zhuanghe City and another practitioner from Wafangdian City were transferred to the No. 8 Division of the Dalian City Detention Center on April 18 and April 24 respectively. Both practitioners have been subjected to persecution by inmates who watch them individually. Mr. Wang was diagnosed with a lumbar disc hernia as well as hyperplasia. He experiences difficulty getting around and needs others to take care of him.

In 2001, Ms. Ji Yunzhi from Bairin Zuoqi Prefecture, Chifeng City, became disabled after being tortured in the Xing'an League Tumuji Town Forced Labor Camp. Her ribs were broken during a beating, and she suffered from muscular atrophy and neuropathy, leading to heart disease. She was near death when she was taken home by her family. She still has not fully recovered.

On the evening of April 25, 2008, Ms. Ji was on her way back from shopping when she was arrested by eight police officers from the Lindong Town Police Station. She was illegally sentenced to two years of forced labor. She is currently being held in the Hohhot City Women's Forced Labor Camp. Reportedly, Ms. Ji Yunzhi was tortured by the police officers until she passed out before she was carried into the police car.

On the morning of April 29, 2008, Ms. Mao Heyan was arrested by the Beigandao Regional Police Station of Longquanyi District while she was clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa in the Weilanhuacheng Area of Longquanyi District, Chengdu City.

At around 12:00 a.m. on the evening of April 29, 50 police officers from the Chengdu City Police Department, the State Security Division, the Longquanyi District Police Department and 610 Office, and others ransacked the home of Mr. Li Changli. Mr. Li used to work at the Liaoyuan Wireless Electricity Factory of the Seventh Research Institute of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Incorporation. Mr. Li and his wife's home is located at the Tiansheng Garden in Longquanyi District. Mr. Li and his wife had to leave their home to avoid being arrested.

Police officers from the Jingjiang City 610 Office and from the Dongxing Town Police Station in Jingjiang City ransacked the homes of many practitioners living in Dongxing Town on April 20, 2008. Despite not finding any evidence, they still arrested Ms. Xu Huifang and Ms. Wang Yuqin, whose whereabouts are now unknown.

Reportedly, a practitioner unlawfully held in the Tailai County Prison has been subjected to torture and now is suffering from mental disorder. During the time of the practitioner's imprisonment, the prison gave him/her unknown drugs that damage the central nervous system.

Around April 19, practitioner Mr. Sun Weimin, who lived in Zhangdian District, Zibo City, was arrested at his own home by police officers from the Criminal Police Division of Zhangdian District. Mr. Sun Weimin had been repeatedly arrested and held since the beginning of the persecution and was admitted to mental institutions as well. He was forced to leave home for many years in order to avoid being arrested again. He had recently returned home.

On April 23, Mr. Wang Zengwu from Shuangliao City was arrested, and his home ransacked by the local 610 Office and the Shuangliao City Electricity Power Plant Police Station.

Mr. Wang Zengwu previously worked as a technician at the Shuangliao City Electricity Power Plant. He was sentenced to one year of forced labor in 2000, and in 2002 he was sentenced to four years of imprisonment and held in Shilingzi Prison in Siping City. He was dismissed from his job.

Police officers from the Jinjipo District Police Station from Jiujiang City broke into Ms. Bai Hongzhen' home at 9:00 p.m. on April 28. Mr. Liu Yizhi from Shahe Township, Jiujiang County, and another practitioner happened to be at Ms. Bai's home. Police officers arrested these three practitioners and took them to the Xunyang District Police Department in Jiujiang County. They also confiscated computers, printers, and all other equipment with a total value of over 20,000 yuan.

At 7:00 a.m. on April 29, police officers also broke into Mr. Zhu Shenli's rental home. Mr. Zhu Shenli was not at home, so the police officers arrested his wife, a non-practitioner, as a hostage.

At present, these four people are being held in the Shili District Detention Center, Jiujing City, Jiangxi Province.

On April 26, a 71-year-old male practitioner from Zhangqiu City was clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa at the gate of the Xiwanghe Village Elementary School of Wenzhu Town, Zhangqiu City, when he was reported to the police and subsequently arrested by the Wenzhu Town Police Station. He is currently detained at the Zhangqiu City Detention Center. Recently, handicapped practitioner Mr. Li Jiang, 35 years old, from Huangshiliang Village, Caofan Town, went to the Wenzhu Town Police Station to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa. He was unlawfully detained and is being held at the Zhangqiu City Detention Center.

Ms. Chen Baozhen and Ms. Sun Dangyang from Zhanjiang City were arrested by police officers who broke into Ms. Sun Dangyang's home on April 24. Police officers also went to ransack Ms. Chen Baozhen's home and confiscated all of her Falun Dafa books and over 100 yuan in cash. Both practitioners are now being held in the Zhanjiang City Detention Center. Recently, Ms. Chen Baozhen was transferred to the Hainan Province Brainwashing Center.

Many practitioners have been arrested since March 2008. Over ten practitioners are being held in the No. 1 Detention Center of Yueyang City. On April 15, the Yueyang County Police Department issued warrants to arrest several practitioners, including Mr. Hu Heping and Mr. Sun Pinghua.

Reportedly, Mr. Sun Pinghua is being tortured with the "small cell" (1) at the detention center.

According to inside information, the wife of practitioner Mr. Wuqi, a former lecturer at the Dalian University of Technology, Ms. Liu, was arrested by the Xinzaizi District Police Station of Ganjingzi District. She has been taken to a detention center and is being brutally treated. Police officers and plainclothes police officers stayed at Mr. Wu Qi's home for several days in an attempt to ransack the house but did not manage to do so.

On the morning of April 7, about eight police officers from the Jiangbei District Police Department of Chongqing City unlawfully broke into the home of Ms. Chen Shanju, in her 40s, in Daxing Village, Jiangbei District. They ransacked her home in an attempt to arrest Ms. Chen, who happened to not be at home. Ms. Chen Shanju was forced to leave home to avoid arrest.

At the end of April, the Jiaozhou City Court unlawfully put seven practitioners on trial. Mr. He Kunlin, Ms. He Jian'e, and Ms. Wei Xiuju were sentenced to ten years in custody; Mr. Zhai Yongqiang was sentenced to five years in custody; Ms. Zhou Shenghua and Ms. Li Shiying were both sentenced to four years in custody; Ms. Liu Jinmei was sentenced to three years of custody. These practitioners are appealing their sentences.

On the evening of April 23, Ms. He Xiangge was arrested at her home by three police officers from the Wujialing District Police Station of Changsha City. Her home was ransacked. Her family members were absent during the arrest and ransacking. On the evening of April 24, Ms. He was transferred from the Wujialing District Police Station to the Changsha City Detention Center.

At around 10:00 a.m. on April 30, following the report of a water-utilities collector from Xikang Village, Baoding City, over 20 police officers from the Beishi District Police Department State Security Division, the Dongjinzhuan Village Police Station, the Xikang Village Committee, and the Yangzhuang Township Division went to Ms. Ma Lili's home and ransacked it. They confiscated her laptop computer, laser printer, tape recorder, and other personal belongings. Around noon, they went to Ms. Ma Lili's workplace, the Hui Ethnicity Cafeteria of Hebei University, where they arrested Ms. Ma. At around 7:00 p.m., she was taken to the Baoding City Detention Center.

Ms. Tao Genxiu from Nanchang City was arrested three times between the beginning of the persecution and 2004. Her home was repeatedly ransacked, and she was severely injured. The police extorted over twenty thousand yuan (all of it borrowed) from her family. Under the tremendous stress and extreme sorrow, Ms. Tao Genxiu's body manifested multiple types of cancer (abdominal cancer, liver cancer, and gastric cancer). She also was suffering from congenital heart disease (4^th stage) and hospital treatment proved ineffective. She had no choice but to return home. Later, she recovered from all these conditions through practicing Falun Dafa. However, she has been repeatedly harassed, monitored, and threatened by police officers.

Ms. Gao Shuyu, 54, lived on Weixing Road in Haoyuan District, Changchun City. On the evening of April 22, she was arrested and her home was ransacked. The police officers confiscated her child's desktop computer, laptop computer, laptop-plug, DVD burner, and the family's ink-jet printer.

Around April 25, several practitioners from Jiawang District, Xuzhou City, who had been unlawfully held for as long as a year and three months, were secretly sentenced to imprisonment. Many practitioners are now appealing. While they have been appealing, the local 610 Office has not allowed the practitioners' families to see them.

These practitioners were arrested in February 2007. Around the 2008 Chinese New Year, over ten practitioners were sentenced to from three to eight years of imprisonment. Among them were Ms. Cheng Juying, Ms. Chen Chuxia, Ms. Xu Qihua, Ms. Yuan Ling, Ms. Zhao Liju, and Ms. Li Kaihui.

Ms. Ling Xiangfang, who worked at the Jiuyang Depositor of Lifeng Township, Huachuan County, was taken into custody by the chief of the Donghe Township Police Station, Songzhuo (male); police officer Qiu Chengwu (male); and a driver on the morning of April 28 before she went to work. Her home was also ransacked. Ms. Ling has been unlawfully held in the Huachuan County Detention Center for four days.

Ms. Hu Changyun's home was ransacked by six police officers from the local 610 Office, including Sun Weiguang (male) and Ding Jianping (male). One month later, Ms. Hu was taken to the Baibalong Forced Labor Camp of Zhuzhou City, where she is currently being brutally mistreated.

Ms. Yao Baoli, 46, lived in Beiyechang Village, Qingyundian Town, Daxing District, Beijing. On April 19, Ms. Yao was arrested by the Dongcheng District Police Department. She is currently being held in the Dongcheng District Police Department Detention Center.

Ms. Zhang Yuping and Ms. Zhang Qunying (a young girl who was visiting her aunt) from Nanshan District, Shenzhen City, were arrested by someone who does not know the truth about Falun Dafa while they were distributing truth-clarification materials at around 8:00 p.m. on May 1.

At around 3:00 p.m., on March 15, Mr. Yang Yonggui from Huoshui Township, Zhongfang County, Huaihua City, was working up on a mountain when six people from Huoshui Township, including the CCP cadre Ding Kehui (male), broke into his home to ransack it and also confiscated his Falun Dafa books. On the morning of April 8, Ding Kehui and the Chief of the County Criminal Police Department Xiao Longcai (male) arrested Mr. Yang without any paperwork. Mr. Yang's whereabouts are unknown at present.

Mr. Yang is 51 years old. In December 1999, he went to Beijing with nine practitioners to appeal for Falun Dafa and was consequently arrested and taken back to Huaihua City by police officer Xiao Longcai. He was then held for 15 days. His family members had two thousand yuan in cash extorted from them by the local township CCP cadres. In June 2006, Mr. Yang went with fellow practitioners from Jinqi Township to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa again and was taken back by the CCP cadre from Xinluhe Township, Zhongfang County, again. He was held for 15 days and later transferred by the police department to Huaihua Detention Center, where he was held for one month. His family paid five hundred yuan for his release. In the spring of 2001, on February 21, he and five fellow practitioners from Jinqi Township were taken to the Huaihua Detention Center by the Tiepo Police Station and held there for 15 days.

On the evening of May 1, Mr. Wang Xincheng and Ms. Xiang Qing from Guangshan County, Henan Province, were reported to the police when they were distributing truth-clarification materials in Luochen Township, Guanshan County, and were subsequently arrested by Luochen Township Police Station officers. By the time this article was published on May 2, the exact whereabouts of these two practitioners were still unknown.

It is known at present that nine practitioners from the Tanggu District of Tianjin were arrested on February 28. Among them, Mr. Xu Guoqiang was released the following day due to high blood pressure and his residence is now being monitored. Ms. Tong Demei and Ms. Lu were released 15 days later after having money and goods extorted from them. The rest of the practitioners, including Ms. Xu Guomin (age 43), Mr. Qi Changrong, Mr. Bai Hong (age 30), Ms. Song Hongcui, Ms. Liu Shanmin (age 62), and Mr. Bai Wenlong have been held in the detention center for about two months.

Mr. Li Changli from the Chengdu City Aerospace Arsenal, his wife, Ms. Liu, and their four-year-old child were arrested by over 30 people who broke into their home at around 12:00 a.m. on April 30.

Mr. Yuan Yingjiang from Qijiang County, Chongqing City, was arrested on March 3. After being held unlawfully in his hometown for one month, he was taken to Xishanping Forced Labor Camp of Chongqing City on April 10 and will be held there for one year.

On the evening of April 28, Mr. Guo Guanghui from Shouguang City was arrested by the Yangkou District Police Department. On April 29, Ms. Li Xiu'e was also arrested, and her computer and Falun Dafa books were confiscated. The location where they are currently being held is unknown.

Mr. Liu Shengzhi was forced to leave home in order to avoid being arrested after he walked away from the Beijing Liaison Office. He was being held after he was arrested in 1999 when he went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa. He was arrested again on April 13 and is currently being held at the Li County Detention Center, where he is being mistreated. His family members and friends have been prevented from visiting him.

Mr. Liang Yuhua was arrested on April 28 while he was clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa. At 8:00 p.m., his wife received a phone call informing her that Mr. Liang had been detained. When his wife asked the caller's phone number and Mr. Liang's location, the caller refused to answer. When she asked to visit Mr. Liang, her request was denied. The location of where Mr. Liang is currently being held is unknown.

On April 26, elderly practitioners Ms. Li and Mr. Zhang and his wife, as well as their daughter (a non-practitioner), from Futian District, Shenzhen City, were arrested and taken to the Meilin Police Station. Their homes were ransacked. In addition, practitioner Ms. Wang from the Jingtianbei District was arrested by Xiangmihu District Police Station officers, and her home was ransacked. Both Ms. Li and Ms. Wang have been released.

Recently, Panshi City's 610 Office, the State Security Division, and the local police station have begun to go to practitioners' homes to harass and arrest them. On April 23, the authorities ransacked practitioners' homes in Mingcheng Town, Yantongshan Town, Qucaihe Town, etc. In addition, they arrested practitioner Mr. Qu Gui, a doctor at the Mingcheng Town Hospital; his younger sister who happened to be visiting him; as well as practitioner Mr. Liu Hanzhang from Dongkou Village. These three practitioners are being held in the Panshi City Detention Center.

At 4:30 a.m. on April 28, the head of the local 610 Office and over 20 plainclothes police officers went to Fugui Village, Hulan Town, to arrest practitioner Ms. Liu Xia, who is a former teacher at the No. 4 Middle School, and practitioner Ms. Zhang Yuxian, who is the wife of Ms. Liu Xia's younger brother. They used kitchen knives to break open the window, then unlocked Ms. Liu Xia's younger brother's house and ransacked it. They confiscated a DVD player and several DVD discs. When they were leaving, they threatened practitioners' family members and neighbors, then went to ransack Ms. Zhang Yuxian's home.

Recently, the relevant departments and offices from Lanzhou City handed down documents ordering the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in order to "assure the successful organization of the 2008 Beijing Olympics and the Torch Relay" on June 30 in Lanzhou City. About ten practitioners have been recently arrested.

Mr. Wang Hongliang from Nanzhujie Village, Zhucheng City, was arrested by police at around 6:00 p.m. on April 25 and was taken to Zhucheng City at 8:00 p.m. the same day. His whereabouts are unknown.

Police officers from Yian County colluded with police officers from Xianfeng Township to arrest practitioner Mr. Nie Guangwen; his son, practitioner Mr. Gao Yaqin; as well as two elderly practitioners from other towns.

Reportedly, a practitioner was taped by the monitoring camera when he or she was distributing truth-clarification materials. Consequently Xianfeng Township Police Station and Yian County Police Department officers went to this practitioner's home to ransack it and also arrested this practitioner. This practitioner is currently being held in the Xianfeng Township Police Station. Police confiscated truth-clarification materials, DVD/CD discs, a computer, and a printer. Police handcuffed, shackled, and interrogated this practitioner. This practitioner is currently being held in the Yian County Detention Center.

Mr. Liu Guoliang and his wife, Ms. Wang Fenglan, were arrested and have been held in custody for over a month. The police have been preventing anyone from visiting them. Mr. Liu was subjected to repeated persecution and held in Hulan Prison for five years. Ms. Wang was forced to leave home to avoid arrest for five years. Their three children have suffered a lot. The eldest child has been shouldering the responsibility of supporting his younger brother to go to college while the youngest child is now doing part-time jobs to support himself. Only several months after Mr. Liu was released upon completing his five-year-term of imprisonment and reunited with his family, the police officers from the Daoli District Police Department broke into their home and arrested Mr. Liu and his wife again.

Since April, Wuhan City police departments and 610 Office have colluded with the local police, local 610 Offices, and local police stations and police departments to ransack practitioners' homes and arrest them. Ms. Zhou Hongmei was arrested at her home and taken away; police officers confiscated a lot of private property. Mr. Zhu Youshan was arrested and taken away from his shop, and his computer and flash memory card were confiscated. Ms. Zeng Yuhong was arrested at the gate of her workplace when she was going home. A practitioner who operates a three-wheel cart was arrested at the gate of a supermarket. Mr. Tao, who does electronics work for a family business, was unlawfully arrested at his shop.

Mr. Wu, who is in his 70s, was unlawfully taken to the Xinzhou District Brainwashing Center. Six people surrounded him, and they caused him to become very restless.

Note:

(1) Small cell - The detainee is locked up in a very small cell individually. The guards handcuff practitioners behind their backs in a fixed position, in which the practitioners can neither move nor lie down. The small cell is very damp and no sunshine comes in. Detainees have to urinate and defecate in the cell. Only half of a regular meal is served to detainees locked up in a small cell during the daytime. During the night the rats run about. The stench in the small cell is so bad that it is difficult to breathe.

(Clearwisdom.net) A "solemn declaration" is a person's public statement declaring to the world that whatever he or she has done or said under duress or deception that was against Falun Dafa is null and void. Most of these statements have come from Falun Dafa practitioners in China who wished to express regret that, in the face of physical torture and brainwashing, they had signed documents renouncing Dafa and guaranteeing not to practice again. (Clearwisdom.net) I evaluated the Chinese Spectacular performance using human notions while watching the DVD by the Divine Performing Arts for the first time, and I did not understand the meaning of the performance. Instead, I felt that non-practitioners may not understand it, and may not like it, since it was just dancing and singing. I had some doubts about whether it would be effective in saving people, but I nonetheless created and distributed copies as Teacher asked us to do.

Later I realized that my thoughts were not righteous and they might cause interference with Teacher's rectifying the Fa and saving people, so I decided to watch the performance again without any notions. I understood the following two points after watching it a second time:

1. Teacher is using the form of the arts to benevolently save people and wake up those people with kind natures. He uses dance and singing to convey the truth about Falun Dafa and present good and evil to human beings. Whichever side a person chooses decides his or her future.

2. Benevolent Teacher is using the form of the arts to rectify the Fa in the human world. He uses this form to rectify the distorted human culture, notions and behaviors, to develop the new culture for the new human beings, and to set up the foundation for the period of "Fa rectifying the human world."

What Teacher does always has enormously profound meanings. The above is my understanding at my current level. I want to encourage our fellow practitioners to realize the importance of distributing the Chinese Spectacular DVD, to better assist Teacher in rectifying the human world.

(Clearwisdom.net) I have frequently met practitioners who refuse to discuss opposing the persecution. They say, "Sharing about how to oppose the persecution is accepting the persecution. Considering how to expose the persecution taking place in brainwashing classes is accepting the brainwashing sessions. If we don't think of the persecution, it won't exist."

Many practitioners with this view were not able to deny the persecution. They didn't know what to do. As a result, they stumbled and fell. I would like to discuss this problem.

If you don't think of the problem, will it disappear?

Some practitioners believe the problem will disappear if you don't think about it. Practitioners with this view of the persecution have been persecuted many times. If we use the Fa to judge things, we will realize that all tribulations are relative to our attachments. It is true that a mental burden may weigh on our minds, but this is an attachment and will cause other tribulations. Conversely, if you don't think about the problem, will it disappear? Is this thought based on the Fa or does it come from our human notions?

Do we use human thoughts to avoid the tribulations of an attachment? Does this mentality comply with the Fa? Taking our minds off the problem to eliminate tribulations is indeed an attachment, but it is hidden. One practitioner with an attachment of fear avoided talking about brainwashing classes. He believed this was the way to deny the persecution. However, he was arrested. Only by eliminating all of our human attachments can we suppress the evil persecution.

Some practitioners have said, "We should not discuss opposing the persecution in forced labor camps, because it means we accept the old forces using the forced labor camps to persecute practitioners." If we can keep strong righteous thoughts, we can totally deny the persecution and no evil will dare to approach or arrest us. They would be eliminated.

We should not just verbally reject the old forces. The purpose of rejecting them is to save sentient beings. Working against the persecution is cultivating ourselves to improve our xinxing. In fact, Teacher has made this issue very clear in the Fa teachings. Practitioners who refuse to talk about opposing the persecution, due to an attachment of fear, don't know how to reject the persecution. They were to some degree accepting the persecution when encountering tribulations, and we should learn a lesson from this.

It is normal for different opinions to be held among practitioners. We have different views, and we need to share and discuss. We should not stubbornly stick to our own views, but look inward during conflicts. We ensure the smoothness of our discussion by being willing to let go of attachments.

(Clearwisdom.net) For a long time, I didn't think I envied others who practice well. So, when my fellow practitioners suggested that I read the article "A Compilation of Articles Related to Eliminating the Attachment of Jealousy" (http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2008/1/28/93737.html) I did not pay much attention. In the meantime, I did not completely understand what the fellow practitioner said about those who "look down upon those who do not practice well," or in other words, "laughing at others" was also a manifestation of jealousy.

I was irritated about having to deliver food to my mother-in-law in the hospital one day recently. I felt that my sister-in-law should be partly responsible, and thought it was unfair that I had to do it by myself. So, I was not happy. It did not bother me at all during her first stay in the hospital, but this time it bothered me a lot. What happened to me this time? I could not control myself and behaved well part of the time, and poorly at other times.

This day was also our group Fa study. My fellow practitioners suggested that I read the article about jealousy carefully when they found out that I had only read part of it. So I read it more closely after returning home. I then understood that the reason I was not nice and felt unbalanced recently was actually because of jealousy.

The issue of unfairness is actually a situation of being influenced by the evil CCP's "absolute egalitarianism" and its effort to convince everyone that they should be the same. Each one has his/her own share. Otherwise, one will not be happy. In fact, the same situation happened during my mother-in-law's second hospitalization. I realized that jealousy caused me to feel unfair, which is not the real "me." I resolved not to be controlled by it. Therefore, I became calmer and my xinxing elevated.

Originally, I did not think it was a big deal and I did not realize that there was a problem. As a practitioner, what you hear or come across is certainly not accidental. Two days later, my husband (who is also a practitioner) made a comment and I immediately replied, "You can't be so sure about it." He then responded, "Are you accustomed to arguing?" I felt very uncomfortable hearing this. However when I gave it a second thought later on, it seemed that he was right. Whenever others said something, I did not think too much and preferred to criticize immediately. I did not think too much about my response and thought I had a better viewpoint than others and that I was the only person who held correct opinions. This is an aspect of jealousy. I should first look for whether there is anything wrong with myself, before questioning what others say.

I felt my husband's opinion was very naive when he talked about my mother-in-law's situation, I felt his opinion was very naive because I have a medical background. Therefore my reply to him was neither kind nor patient. If one cannot view things from a practitioner's view point, and looks down upon others, such a mindset affects cultivation and even encourages jealousy to grow.

For practitioners who are not so diligent in cultivation in some area, or for some period of time, they may not be able to express their view from Dafa's point of view, and it will be hard to eliminate the evil factors behind the events, thus helping them to quickly set up righteous thoughts and deeds. Instead, they clutch the "looking down upon" attitude, accuse and complain, which will only do harm and cause damage to us, and even allow the old forces to take advantage. Therefore, we cannot ignore getting rid of jealousy.

From my personal experience, multiple problems occurred when I thought I did not have the attachment of jealousy. Therefore, I suggest those fellow practitioners who think they do not have jealousy also read the brochure "A Compilation of Articles Related to Eliminating the Attachment of Jealousy."

(Clearwisdom.net) After the Chinese New Year, I attended a one-week tour to Thailand arranged by my work place. The foreign scenery didn't leave much of an impression. Instead, the fellow practitioners I encountered in Thailand are what made my trip meaningful and memorable. My heart was touched and warmed by them.

When I take trips abroad, what concerns me most is whether I will run into fellow practitioners at tourist destinations. When I was wandering on the wharf near the Grand Palace in Bangkok, I somewhat expected to see practitioners. Then, somehow, I indeed saw a practitioner in her 30s. She kept running back and forth to distribute brochures to passersby. She also briefly spoke in loud voice, "Please take a look at the truth of persecution of Falun Gong in China." I was deeply moved by what I saw - in the stream of people, she was alone working hard to save sentient beings. I truly felt the greatness of Dafa. How many lives have been awakened by Dafa, and in turn, these awakened lives did their best to awaken others.

I encountered fellow practitioners a second time at Walking Street, next to a wharf in Pattaya. A woman in her 40s was holding a Falun Gong poster. Two women in their 50s were distributing newspapers about the persecution of Dafa. One of them had an accent from Northeastern China, and was the main speaker to clarify the truth. In the boundless dim light of night, in a foreign country, I was again moved by the scene of practitioners saving people.

As I was in a tour group, I could only support the practitioners in Thailand with righteous thoughts. After our group toured the wharf, it was about 10pm. We returned to the wharf and were above to leave. It was very hot and humid. However, I noticed that the fellow practitioners were still standing there! They clothes were drenched with sweat, but they held fast to their position to distribute materials and clarify the truth to the passing-by tourists without rest. Then, interestingly, a tourist in his slippers took a newspaper from them and shouted "Heaven is eliminating the CCP." After that, over a dozen people walked towards the practitioner holding the poster and began to read the poster and listened to practitioners with great interest. Some courageous ones took the materials and read them when they walked back. Some even brought the materials back to the tour bus.

How much I wanted to stand next to these practitioners! Before we left the wharf, I kept sending forth righteous thoughts in the crowd. When I passed by a practitioner, I said to her, "[Thank you for the] hard work!" She responded, "Thank you." I was quite emotional at the time. I wondered if she knew that it was a greeting from a practitioner from mainland China. Exactly because of the work done by the practitioners outside China, the persecution suffered by the practitioners in mainland China can be relieved, and more people can be saved.

After I returned to the harsh environment in China, I not only felt moved by the deeds of practitioners in Thailand, but also felt guilty. Practitioners in Thailand strive to save the sentient beings even though they have very limited manpower. Practitioners in mainland China form the main body of the Fa rectification. However, I didn't have a strict requirement on myself. In the environment of being persecuted, I often slacked off and became indifferent, and couldn't always keep righteous thoughts. As a practitioner in China, I realize the great responsibilities, however, I slack off in my determination to cultivate diligently in various periods of time and situations.

Regarding the truth-clarification activities at tour sites in Thailand, I also would like to share some of my thoughts.

When Chinese people take tours abroad, they most often choose Thailand. In each tour site, ten thousand or even tens of thousands of tourists from mainland China visit every day. In my one-week tour, I saw only four practitioners in the major tour sites, as I have mentioned above. In one site, only one practitioner was there. She was busy distributing materials and talking to people. Without any practitioners to assist her, sometimes it's hard to clarify truth thoroughly. In a lot of major tour sites, I didn't see any practitioners.

My overall feeling is that there are few practitioners in the major tour sites in Thailand to clarify the truth to Chinese tourists. Is it possible for practitioners in Thailand to coordinate the truth clarification activities in major tour sites where Chinese tourists visit most often? Also it may be helpful to be more versatile in the arrangement. For instance, perhaps there can be someone to explain the posters, someone to send forth righteous thoughts, someone to distribute materials and someone to talk. In addition, I would suggest the talking points be more direct and easier to remember, so as to get more attention from the tourists.

I also feel that the local people do not have enough understanding of the evil persecution of Dafa in China. The local tour guide once attacked Dafa. I sent forth righteous thoughts, so he changed the topic. However, I have the strong feeling that many local people do not understand the truth. So I would suggest practitioners in Thailand to do more to clarify truth to local tour guides, as they directly influenced the Chinese tourists.

The above is just my personal understanding.
