Practitioners Must Always Study the Fa Well, No Matter How Busy We Are By a practitioner in China
(Clearwisdom.net) I became homeless by choice in 2003 to avoid the
persecution, and went to a remote county in Jilin Province. For some time I
lived with practitioners at a large-scale truth-clarification
materials production site. Their way of life approximates conditions a
practitioner has described in an earlier article about another materials
preparation site. There was a huge difference, though - practitioners at that
place did not slacken in their Fa study, although their volume of
work was huge. During my time with them, none of them went to bed before
midnight, and all woke up before 4:30 a.m. They would do the exercises together
and have a simple breakfast before starting work. During work, they took turns
to study the Fa. This gave me much insight and helped me a lot in my later
cultivation. Although each of these practitioners has their shortcomings, overall they did
not neglect the fundamental task of Fa study while doing work. They were able to
look inward and check themselves for mistakes during conflicts and tensions.
They did not have too many strong, self-centered opinions and could cooperate as
a whole body. Thus, by the year 2003, the big materials production sites in
their area had been successfully separated into smaller ones, including the big
one where I had worked for a while. I think the reason for their outstanding cooperation was their diligence in
studying the Fa, even though they were very busy. The practitioner who had
written the article about the other materials production site brought out many
of the shortcomings of practitioners in that area. I think that whatever
situation we find ourselves in is closely related to how well we study the Fa.
Unless we study the Fa well, even though practitioners think they are
cultivating, all the Fa-validation work we do will become like everyday people
doing the work. In that case, the conflicts and tension will be like those of
everyday people and will definitely not be a reflection of the conflicts a
cultivator will encounter during cultivation. Posting date: 5/19/2008
