Saving Sentient Beings is Teacher's Arrangement

(Clearwisdom.net) There is a high-class residential area near my home. The community, situated in a quiet and tasteful environment, has a guard at the main entrance gate, through which only the residents may enter.

It was difficult for practitioners to distribute Falun Gong materials inside the community. However, clarifying the truth about Falun Gong and saving sentient beings are our missions. We don't have time to linger and should try to save every single person. It dawned on me that we should distribute as many flyers as we can.

One day, I took some truth-clarification materials to the community, sending righteous thoughts on the way. I noticed that the entrance guard was opening the gate to let a car out. The driver noticed that I was walking into the community, then beckoned me in friendly manner. The guard glanced at me, but said nothing. I then entered the community.

While I walking along a passageway, suddenly a large dog ran toward me from a courtyard, barking furiously. I had always feared dogs, and if a pet dog runs toward me, I back away. After practicing Falun Gong, this attachment of fear has been weakened, but my terror of dogs has never really gone away.

In the face of this sudden trouble, I calmed down. At that instant, I sent strong righteous thoughts, waved to the dog and said, "Go!" Dramatically, it stopped in the middle of the road and went back. At that time, I wasn't scared or confused, and I remained calm. If this incident had happened before I began practicing Falun Gong, I definitely would have been frightened.

I left truth-clarification materials at all the residential units. After distributing the flyers, I went to the gate thinking about how to get out of the entranceway. At that moment, an older couple was also leaving, so I walked up, greeted them warmly, and walked out of the gate.

The entire process is a manifestation of Teacher's arrangement and graceful care, and the power of sending forth righteous thoughts. Now I understand that I will never, ever fully know how much our venerable Teacher has done for me.
