Mr. Gong is a mathematics teacher at the Mudanjiang City No. 2 Middle School. He has been arrested many times for his belief in Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance. He was imprisoned at the Mudanjiang City Forced Labor Camp initially. He was later transferred to the Jixi City Forced Labor Camp for a year, and then to the Suihua City Forced Labor Camp. Those who visited him said that he was carried out for each visit because he was to weak to walk.

On April 24, 2003, the practitioners in the Jixi City Forced Labor Camp protested the persecution by refusing to obey the guards' commands. They were then brutally beaten by dozens of guards, including Political Commissar Wang Hongwu, Brigade Chief Zhu Lijun, Brigade Deputy Chief Wang Haifu, and Squadron Commander Qi Min. The guards assaulted the practitioners in their cells using electric batons and ropes, then took them out of their cells and beat them again. As a result, Mr. Gong had cuts and bruises all over his body.

On December 12, 2006, police from the Domestic Security Section of the Mudanjiang City Police Department and the Yangming Police Department took Mr. Gong from his workplace to the city police department for questioning. They detained Mr. Gong in the detention center. Mr. Gong was finally released after his family went to the police department to demand his release, and the police extorted money from them.

On April 17, 2008, Mr. Gong Chengge was taken into custody at the Muling City Detention Center. He is currently imprisoned at the Muling City No. 1 Detention Center.

Mr. Wu works for the Xiachengzi railway, and he has been arrested several times. He was jailed at the Railway Detention Center initially, and then transfered to the Sidao Forced Labor Camp in Mudanjiang City. The Sidao Forced Labor Camp Director Zhao Guanying, Deputy Director Gao Yanfu, and Chief Wang Xuewen had prisoners carry out the persecution. As a result of brutal beatings, Mr. Wu was unable to walk for a long time.

On February 12, 2006, officers from the Xiachengzi Police Department broke into Mr. Wu's home using a master key and arrested him. Mr. Wu was imprisoned at the Bamiantong Domestic Security Section. Mr. Wu later said, "I was so scared in the detention center that I told them the whereabouts of two practitioners and agreed to work for them."

At the beginning of April 2008, Mr. Wu Guoli of Muling City was again arrested from his apartment in Mudanjiang City. He is being imprisoned at the Muling City Detention Center. In the early morning of April 3, 2008, Zhou Xinsheng from the Domestic Security Section covered Mr. Wu's face and took him away from his cell. Mr. Wu was returned to his cell at night. What happened to Mr. Wu during the day is unknown.

Mr. Zhao Guojian was arrested again on April 11, 2008.

Previously, on November 12, 2007, Mr. Zhao and Ms. Zhu Xiuhua were arrested by officers from the Chaishi Police Station, and they were tortured during their detention. Officers from the Mudanjiang City Domestic Security Section interrogated them in turn and gave them no chance to sleep or rest for several days. Officer Guo Liang kicked Mr. Zhao in the mouth and knocked out several teeth. Officer Peng Fuming subjected Mr. Zhao to tying the ropes (1) twice. Officer Qiao Ping struck Mr. Zhao across the face with his shoe and threatened to send Mr. Zhao to forced labor camp.

Mr. Zhao wrote up his persecution experience for the local public prosecutor and the Forced Labor Arbitration Committee. Qiao Ping and others were more restrained in the behavior after that, but they extorted 5,000 yuan from Mr. Zhao's family before they released him at the end of 2007. They went to Mr. Zhao's home and threatened him right after his release.

Ms. Song Weirun is a business owner. In the early morning of March 20, 2008, Chen Liang and other officers from the Aimin District Domestic Security Section arrested Ms. Song from her home and seized her Falun Dafa books and other personal property. Ms. Song was released several hours later after 5,000 yuan had been extorted from her. On April 11, 2008, Ms. Song was arrested again by police from the Mudanjiang City Domestic Security Section. She is now imprisoned at the No. 2 Detention Center.

On April 10, 2008, Mr. Sun Fa was arrested by officers from the Mudanjiang City Domestic Security Section.

On April 11, 2008, members of the Wuxing Neighborhood Committee turned in Mr. Jia Changmin to the committee office. At around 9 a.m., two officers from the Mudanjiang City Police Department, officer Zho Mingzhe from the Chaishi Police Station, agent Zhao and agent Mi from the Huayuan Community Committee searched Mr. Jia's home. It has been reported that Mr. Jia is being imprisoned at the Mudanjiang City No. 2 Detention Center.

Ms. Dong Guilan, in her 60s, lives in the August 1st Square area in Mudanjiang City. Ms. Dong and Ms. Ai were arrested by officers from the Mudanjiang City Police Department.

Mr. Dai Qihong, a guard in the Mudanjiang Prison, was arrested near the Mudanjiang Airport while distributing truth clarification materials. On March 20, 2008, officers from the Mudanjiang City Domestic Security Section and the Yanjiang Police Station searched Mr. Dai's home. He is now being imprisoned at the Mudanjiang Detention Center.

Mr. Hou Xichai works at the accounting office of the Mudangjiang Prison. He refused to write the three statements. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) members tried to coerce him into writing a repentance statement, and they even made his family try to persuade him to do so. However, he steadfastly refused. Mr. Hou was later arrested by agents from the 610 Office and officers from the Domestic Security Section around March 28, 2008. He is being imprisoned at the Mudanjiang Detention Center.

It was reported that Mr. Dai and Mr. Hou are on a hunger strike to protest the persecution.

Mr. Gong Chenge, Mr. Wu Guoli and other practitioners were arrested for installing satellite dishes that pick up the New Tang Dynasty TV Station.

(1) "Tying the rope," one type of brutal torture, refers to putting a thin nylon rope around the back of a person's neck, and then wrapping it around both shoulders down to each arm loop by loop, and then over each hand. The rope is tightened to its limit and it cuts into the flesh. Both arms are forced behind the back and raised to the extreme, and then both thumbs are tied with a rope and locked to the rope that goes around the back of the neck. The person tortured in this way is then kicked to kneel down on the floor. The rope is released about one hour later, and then the person is tied up like this again a second time, then a third time...
