(Clearwisdom.net) Huang Jiefu, Vice-Minister of Health, has frequently appeared on Chinese television recently to promote the ethics of new regulations to control organ transplantation in China. In fact, each organ Huang Jiefu transplanted in his role as an organ transplant surgeon, came from a CCP-controlled organ depository. The source of the organs is a deeply held secret. Huang Jiefu has been lying for years to cover up organ harvesting atrocities. Death row prisoners and Falun Gong practitioners held in concentration camps are routinely secreted away for organ harvesting. You could say that Huang Jiefu has been covering up CCP crimes.

1. Livers available on very short notice.

An article was published on wlmqwb.com on October 11, 2005 titled "Two liver transplants completed in 25 hours--a surgical record." On October 11, 2005 Sina.com published "China's first successful liver transplant in Xinjiang province" (http://www.wlmqwb.com/wlmqwb/map/2005-10/11/content_26276.htm) and on October 3, 2005 Xinjiang Metro Daily published "Vice Minister of Health performs successful liver transplants on two farmers. (http://news.sina.com.cn/s/2005-10-03/11557091937s.shtml)

In September 2005, when he was in Xinjiang Province, Huang Jiefu operated on an autologous liver transplant patient. Within about one day Huang had found two livers for transplant, one in Chongqing city and the other in Guangzhou city, and had them transported to the operating room as backups in case the autologous procedure failed. How amazing is that?

On September 23, 2005, according to reports, a group of representatives in Beijing, headed by Luo Gan, the political and legal committee secretary, took part in the 50th anniversary celebrations in Uyhur Autonomous region. Huang Jiefu was also there. On September 28 Huang and Wen Hao, head of Xinjiang medical University's First Affiliated Hospital, performed surgery on a 46-year-old liver cancer patient. During surgery they found that the cancer had pretty much infiltrated the patient's liver. The original plan had been to excise only half of the liver; but Huang Jiefu suggested removing the whole liver, excising the cancer-saturated area, and then returning the "clean" part back in the patient. For this kind of operation, a matched liver from a donor would be required just in case the autologous operation wasn't successful.

Huang Jiefu and the hospital personnel in charge immediately contacted Zhongshan Medical University's First Affiliated Hospital in Guangzhou city and the Third Medical University's Southwest Liver Medical Center in Chongqing city. Meanwhile the patient was removed from the operating room. By 6:30 p.m. the next day a matched liver had arrived from Chongqing, and at the same time three medical personnel from Guangzhou-Zhongshan Hospital took another liver and some surgical equipment to Xinjiang province.

Prior to November 2005, the CCP stated that organ donations came from recently deceased or traffic accident victims. Is it possible that just when Huang Jiefu required two backup livers there were two traffic deaths, in two different cities, that tissue matched the patient, and that the deceased had authorized use of their organs or that members of their families had allowed the donations? In fact, unlike in the United States and many other countries, in China, the practice of donating organs is very rare.

According to a Chinese Health Ministry announcement in 2006: "Liver transplant technology management practices" donated livers should not be stored in the special fluid for longer than 15 hours, in order to maintain the quality of the tissue. Considering the time needed to obtain a donor liver and transport it to the transplant facility, the only way to make the process feasible would be to kill an inmate and take the person's liver. How could Huang Jiefu be innocent?

2. An anonymous leader

In September 2005, prior to the liver transplant operation, Huang Jiefu met with the leader of the Beijing group of representatives to discuss upcoming surgery. He obtained special approval and said, "This is another way to celebrate the autonomous region's 50th anniversary, by bestowing a special gift from the leaders of the CCP."

However, since it was a "medical gift" and "a great gift for all people in Xinjiang province," logically speaking, it should be a good opportunity for the CCP officials to showcase their achievement; so why were they not named in the reports? Why wouldn't they want to say it themselves? As a matter of fact, it wouldn't be hard for people to figure out that the anonymous leader was Luo Gan, as he is one of the prime culprits persecuting Falun Gong, and is directly related with the live organ depository.

Huang Jiefu obtained Luo Gan's permission to ensure that he could select live liver donors. This particular surgery fulfilled a wish he had for many years, a rare opportunity, an opportunity to heighten his prestige in the world--for Huang Jiefu it was a great temptation. As Sina.com reported on October 3, 2005, "Huang Jiefu, who had conducted more than 300 autologous transplant experiments on large animals, told reporters that this surgery allowed him to do what he had wanted to do for many years. An autologous liver transplant is a very complicated procedure, one I learned abroad, one I've been wanting to do, but lacked a suitable patient like this in Xinjiang province. So today is a lucky coincidence......"

From a technical point of view, the surgery on September 28 was a success; but from a moral perspective, it exposed the kind of person Huang Jiefu is.

3.One month later

From November 7-9, 2005 while Huang Jiefu was taking part in the Manila International Conference, he admitted that mainland China had been using organs from condemned prisoners and, to a lesser degree, traffic accident victims.

Mainland China has been using organs from executed inmates for over 40 years. However, the CCP regime denied it all along. So why do they admit it now? Some people may ask, "Is Huang Jiefu trying to cover something up?

Since people had to be killed to supply the donor livers, some people may find it more acceptable to hear that they were "condemned prisoners" than if the organs had come from other kinds of people. Were there really "condemned inmates" after all? Why did they choose Guangzhou and Chongqing to find donor organs? Does it mean that there were more "condemned inmates" in those two cities than in other cities?

There have been three reports on this matter. The first, reported by Clearwisdom.net on May 10, 2006, indicated that large numbers of Falun Gong practitioners were secretly transported to Chongqing city's Wanzhou district and possibly housed in an underground concentration camp for practitioners.

The second, as reported by several mainland China media, was that the Zhongshan Medical University's (Guangzhou City) Third Affiliated Hospital Liver Transplant Center had acquired a liver within a day for a patient who needed a liver transplant liver because his had been damaged by poison.

The third, was reported by Mr. Lao on the Sound of Hope International Broadcast radio program. He stated that in Shaoguan city, Guangdong province, about a two-hour drive from Guangzhou city, there is an army-controlled labor camp, patrolled by armed guards, holding at least 1000 to 2000 Falun Gong practitioners, as a living organ bank.

Therefore, it isn't hard to deduce that the "condemned inmates" cited by Huang Jiefu were mainly Falun Gong practitioners.

4.Huang Jiefu is colluding with the CCP regime

As an organ transplant surgeon, Huang Jiefu needs the help of the CCP army, and its political and legal ministries, to continue the illicit supply of human organs. They enable him to become a transplant specialist, and gain fame and profit. Thus, in 2001 the CCP regime selected Huang Jiefu to be Vice-Minister of Health, as he had many foreign contacts and could best serve its objectives.

Before becoming a top-level CCP official as the Vice-Minister of Health, Huang Jiefu was the president of Guangzhou-Zhongshan Medical University and the Secretary of the Party Committee. In 1984 he went to Sydney University College of Medicine in Australia for three years to do research for a PhD thesis. He had been a visiting scholar at several other universities. He was also a chief editor of mainland China's first book about liver transplantation. Although he really wanted to create a second upsurge of liver transplants to begin in 1993, the increase in organ transplants didn't begin until 1999--the same year in which the persecution of Falun Gong was initiated. A book titled "Liver Transplant" published in 2001 stated, "China's clinical liver transplants began in 1997, causing the first upsurge...In 1998, because of the effect of different elements, the transplant turned out to be the second upsurge, which continued increasing each year. In 1997 there were 16 times as many liver transplants and gradually the number increased to 27 times in 1998, and in 1999 the number of transplants surged to 118 times..."

While the number of organ transplants in mainland China was going up and the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners was escalating, Huang Jiefu, between 2000 and 2001, published four articles in China Organ Transplant magazine, China Practical Surgical Operations magazine, and other publications. In 2004 Huang received a second award--the China Scientific Advancement Award.

Since Huang Jiefu gained some benefits from the CCP, he, in turn, has been used to cover up its crimes. After he was promoted to Vice-Minister of Health in November 2001, he was on television, and gave presentations explaining the new regulations and laws, claiming they were based on ethics and moral values. He said that certain types of organ transplant issues had been caused by individual physicians committing crimes, and had nothing to do with government agencies. With so many Falun Gong practitioners being massacred or just disappeared, Huang was concealing the CCP's crimes.

In July 2006 Huang Jiefu once again, at an international liver transplant conference, claimed that organ harvesting was done with the approval of the condemned inmates and their families, and under general rules and guidance based on ethical principles. He added that some criminal inmates recognized that their actions had caused harm to society, and so they were willing to compensate society by donating their organs; and that this kind of action should be encouraged not opposed.

First, Huang Jiefu suddenly admitted what the CCP regime had denied for more than 40 years. From this, some people may think that the CCP regime had changed, had improved.Second, to find a prisoner who repented what he had done and was willing to donate his organs would be very rare, and something that could not be talked about openly. How many people want to donate their organs? In China, people want to be buried with their bodies intact. To die without a full body is a cultural taboo.

Appendix:

Undoubtedly, as a liver specialist, Huang Jiefu has been doing surgery to fulfill his obligations as a doctor. But this does not negate his crime of covering up the CCP's massacre of Falun Gong practitioners. The point is, what does Huang Jiefu think about himself? Did he sell his conscience to the CCP for profit and fame, or is he a person who has a conscience, feels shame, and is willing to correct his misdeeds?

History will soon say farewell to the CCP, so I advise Huang Jiefu to not let the CCP use him again.
