By a practitioner in Finland

(Clearwisdom.net) On May 24 and 25, 2008, near the Railway Station at Helsinki, the capital of  Finland, Falun Gong practitioners unfurled banners that read "Falun Dafa is Good" and "Stop the persecution of Falun Gong Immediately", set up truth-clarification poster boards, and collected signatures condemning the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong. For years, Falun Gong practitioners in Finland have been clarifying the truth to people by using this peaceful and rational method, and calling on people to help stop the persecution of Falun Gong by the CCP.

After signing the petition, a passer-by (left) wearing a jacket with a yellow tag in front that read "Respect Human Rights" in Chinese and Finnish told the practitioner, "A friend of mine is going to participate in the Beijing Olympic Games while wearing a T-shirt imprinted with the words 'Respect Human Rights'."

During those two days, on the other side of Kaisaneimen Park there was an event celebrating the festival of "World Village", which is held every year. The problem of human rights in China caught the attention from all circles in this year's event.  It could be seen that people from the celebration of "World Village" carried yellow tags on the front of their jackets that read "Respect Human Rights" both in Chinese and Finish. Upon seeing the banners exposing the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong, they stepped forward without hesitation and signed the petition supporting Falun Gong and the Chinese people for their basic human rights.   

While hurriedly rushing to the "World Village" event, many people were drawn by the eye-catching banners and the practitioners distributing truth-clarification materials with a smile. So in front of the desk, there were occasionally people in line waiting to sign the petition.

Many people who signed the petition and those who accepted leaflets expressed their views by smiling, shaking hands with practitioners, giving their thumbs-up or speaking briefly, "You have done a very good job!", "I support you!".

A lady who signed the petition told a practitioner, "People need peace, not violence. But violence still exists in many countries now, including China. People need to change this situation. Everyone should do something about it and offer his help."

During those two days, at one entrance of the railway station, some young Chinese people wearing Finnish Red Cross vests collected donations for earthquake victims in Sichuan.  With her eight-year-old grandson, practitioner Ms. Jiang went over and donated some money. Ms. Jiang told these young men who collected donations, "My grandson lived in Sichuan for several months with his mom. After telling him about the earthquake in Sichuan, I asked him if he wanted to help the people in Sichuan. He said 'Yes.' So I brought him here to donate."  Ms. Jiang talked about reports about the earthquake in Sichuan with these young people, "I agree with what many people have analyzed. This earthquake is thirty percent natural disaster and seventy percent of man-made calamities. In this disaster, most deaths of students and pupils were caused by their poorly constructed school buildings, which lack steel bar reinforcement in concrete. The CCP delayed and refused international rescue teams to enter and save people within the first 72 hours after the quake.  Earthquake experts have exposed that they submitted an earthquake forecast but the Chinese government failed to inform people. These three points are quite enough to show that the CCP does not care about people's lives at all." Finally, Ms. Jiang gave her advice to these young people, "You are very lucky to be overseas. Please read 'Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party' and learn the facts by reading reports from independent media such as the Epoch Times. Free yourselves from being poisoned by the CCP propaganda. You should quit the CCP and its associated organizations as soon as possible for a safe future."
