Mr. Xie Yiqiang of Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Sentenced to Four Years in Prison

(Clearwisdom.net) On May 5, 2008, Mr. Xie Yiqiang was sentenced to four years in prison by a court controlled by the Chinese Community Party (CCP) in Xingqing District, Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. His "crime"? Practicing Falun Gong.

On February 2, 2008, under orders from the Ningxia Region 610 Office and the Yinchuan City 610 Office, the police from the Funing Street Police Station, Xingqing District Police Department arrested Mr. Xie Yiqiang in his office at the Ningxia Quality and Safety Examination Center. The police followed the policy of, "arrest first, collect evidence later." Mr. Xie was arrested without any evidence. One by one, long and repeated interrogations of Mr. Xie's colleagues were conducted by the police. Mr. Yu, another one of Mr. Xie's colleagues, underwent 8 hours of interrogation. The testimonies from colleague Yang and colleague Zhang were submitted as "evidence".
