Seize Every Opportunity to Save Sentient Beings

(Clearwisdom.net) I learned Falun Dafa in 1998. At the beginning, I created many obstacles for myself on the path of my cultivation. I would be diligent for a period of time and then became low-spirited for another period of time. I created a lot of worries for Teacher. If it was not for the greatness of the Fa and Teacher's great mercy, I might not still be alive. The following is some of my experience in seizing the time to save sentient beings.

Teacher said,

"The old forces don't dare to oppose our clarifying the truth or saving sentient beings. What's key is to not let them take advantage of the gaps in your state of mind when you do things."

I follow the Fa's teachings and try to always use a calm tone and a compassionate smile to touch and melt other people's hearts and inspire their compassion. I've paid attention to sending forth the righteous thoughts. I haven't been overanxious for quick results. I pay attention to the process, let go of myself, and really do things for the good of other people.

One day I came across a man who looked a bit unusual. I hesitated as to whether I should clarify the truth to him. Just at that time, a thought struck my mind, "I would save only those who fall into water but not those who are in the fire." This was not right. Therefore, I stepped forward and clarified the truth to him. He was very sensitive and asked me what I was doing and why I would talk about it to him. I said, "No matter who you are, you must have a bright future." Then he took out his ID and showed it to me, stating "I am from the National Security Department. Aren't you afraid that I would arrest you?" I told him I was not. He said, "Why are you so sure about it?" I said with a smile, "This is because I find that you are a kind-hearted person." He replied, "I could be very kind-hearted and I could be evil, too." He hurriedly closed his ID as if he was afraid that I might remember his name. I said, "You'd better withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). My concern for you is genuine. What you do is your job. You can always use your job to do something good. There would be good fortune as return for doing good."

He did not reply with a decision "to withdraw" or "not to withdraw" but asked me many questions. I replied to all of them. However, he still said something in line with the CCP's propaganda. I said, "The CCP always reports the good news but not the bad. All the Party discipline and the laws of the country are nothing but high-sounding propaganda. Those medical doctors who are being used by the CCP only care about their wealth and personal interest. They really benefit from it. How would you expect them to tell you the truth?" He asked, "Then why should I believe what you say is the truth?" I replied, "I am a Falun Gong practitioner, so I must act in accordance with the principles of 'Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance.' Otherwise, my cultivation would be all for nothing. Think about it, if what we say is not true, wouldn't it mean that what we are doing is meaningless?" He replied, "I admire your courage and am grateful to you for spending that much time to talk to me, let alone we are strangers." I said, "If you feel grateful, then you should thank our Teacher, who taught us to think more about other people in whatever we do." Finally, he said, "I've got something to do today, old lady, you can go now." I saw a police car pull over to pick him up. I waved and said goodbye to him. He waved back.

When I began to persuade people to quit the CCP, the Youth League, and the Young Pioneers, I had a lot of fear. Through studying the Fa and looking inward, I found that my fear of daring not to touch the topic of the CCP, and my fear of being accused of involvement in politics, was actually an attachment of self-protection. Therefore, I tried very hard to get rid of my fear. Besides studying the Fa, I watched or read "Nine Commentaries on Communist Party" as well as "Disintegrate the Party Culture" many times. Thus, when I went out to persuade people to withdraw from the CCP for the very first time, I was able to expose the CCP directly, and the results were quite good. At the beginning, I could talk only to seven or eight people, and I selected my targets.

However, sometimes I still could not maintain calm. One day, another practitioner and I were persuading a 50-year-old man to quit the CCP. Although he admitted that the CCP was bad, he refused to quit the Party. The other practitioner did not give up. She continued to talk to him, and I helped her now and then. Finally, the man said that he would quit the evil party because of our kind hearts. We gave him a copy of "Nine Commentaries on Communist Party" and a DVD and told him that he could find all the details in them. Since it was a main street, I was afraid that there might be CCTV cameras in the area. I became very worried because the man did not put the pamphlets and DVD away. He just played with them in his hands. I asked the other practitioner to leave, but she did not move. I pinched her neck, but she still continued to talk to him. I could feel my heart racing, and I rode my bike to a place some distance away and began to send forth righteous thoughts. When she caught up with me later, I asked her if she felt my pinch. She said, "Of course I did. It really hurt."

After we crossed a street, we saw a man in a wheelchair. The practitioner went to talk to him, but not long afterward, the man was yelling and shouting, "No, I don't believe it! I am already in such a bad shape. What safety are you talking about?" I saw twelve or so uniformed policemen about a hundred meters away start to walk in our direction. From my last lesson, I knew that my fellow practitioner would not leave, so I began to send forth the righteous thoughts and begged Teacher for help to eliminate all the evil elements in other dimensions, to ensure that the police hear nothing and see nothing. They passed by very closely. It was a very narrow street, but they all turned their heads in another direction. I felt that all of my fear was removed. All of a sudden, I was in tears. I knew that Teacher had done all this for me. In the past, I did not fully believe in Dafa and Teacher. Ever since that day, I seize my time to study the Fa and wholeheartedly do the three things well, in line with Teacher's requirements.

I watched the video lecture "Fa-Teaching given to Australian Practitioners" many times, and I became more and more clear on the Fa principles. The number of people that I clarify the truth to every day increased to 20 to 30 and my attitude changed from selecting my targets to talking to almost anyone. No matter if they are men or women, old or young; no matter who they are, be it a worker, a farmer, a soldier, a policeman, or an agent from the National Security Department, I would talk to them whenever I had the opportunity. I would address them in accordance with their age and then tell them it's no coincidence for us to meet. I would ask if they heard they would be protected once they withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations. I would ask if they joined the Young Pioneers, the Youth League, or the CCP. Then I would remind them that no matter which organization they joined, they had to take a oath. Now, it's time for them to terminate that oath. I told them the CCP has never matched its words with deeds and that it is very corrupt. I told them to withdraw from the CCP and that they did not need to spend a penny, but it can protect their lives. Then why not do so? I also told them that they would rather believe it's true than it's not. Most of them agreed with me, and every day there were people who withdrew from the CCP and its affiliated organizations.

I came across all kinds of people. Some were grateful, some blessed us, some worried, some spoke sarcastically, some yelled and shouted to drive us away, some swore at us, some wanted to report us to the police, and still others wanted to abduct us. There were many alarming situations. However, I am safe under the protection of Teacher. I truly feel that Teacher is beside me. I have had a lot of experiences in this regard. One day, when a person told me only his surname, I said he must be Chang Qing. He was so excited and said, "Do you know me? How come you know my name?" I said it was Teacher who arranged for me to find him there, and it was his blessing and predestined relationship.

One day, an elderly lady agreed to withdraw from the CCP. However, she gave me her surname but refused to tell me her given name. When I offered to help give her a pseudonym, she was very much surprised and looked at me from head to toe. Then she said, "The name you gave me is not much different from my real name." Finally, she withdrew from the CCP with her real name. I knew it was Teacher who gave me the hint. We were also able to answer all the questions raised by the people we clarified the truth to. They were very much satisfied with our answers. Afterwards, when we recalled the situation, we knew it was Teacher who helped us.

During the process of clarifying the truth, some people would not believe it and refused to withdraw from the CCP. During times like that, I would say to them, "It's your decision to choose to withdraw or not. However, good or evil comes from a person's spontaneous thought, and the thought at that moment can bring about different consequences. We are doing this truly for your good." Then I would continue to talk and remind them that since 1949, when the CCP seized power, it has not done a single good thing. You see, the CCP's philosophy is the philosophy of struggle. They include the "Movement Against the Three Evils (i.e. corruption, waste, and bureaucracy)," the "Movement Against the Five Evils (bribery, tax evasion, theft of state property, cheating on government contracts, and theft of economic information)," the "Movement to Suppress Counterrevolutionaries," the "Movement to Eliminate Counterrevolutionaries," the "June 4 Incident" (Tiananmen Square Massacre) when soldiers shot protesting students and ran them down with tanks. The CCP now persecutes Falun Gong. The CCP framed and made false charges against the practitioners. It even staged a self-immolation in Tiananmen Square. Experts overseas and an UN organization proved that this event was staged by the government to stir up anger and hate toward Falun Gong from people who do not know the truth. Many kind-hearted people have been deceived by the CCP. Now, the CCP is suppressing human rights activists and people who seek help from high authorities to solve their injustice or grievances. These people would be blocked or intercepted before they can reach Beijing to appeal. In many cases, they were detained. Some migrant workers were denied their salaries for as long as a year. Then, I would tell them about the "Stone with Hidden Characters," a stone found in Guizhou Province, where a mysterious rock formation split, revealing hidden characters that read, "Chinese Communist Party Perishes." I always carried truth-clarification materials with me. I would ask the people I talked to if they want the materials and show them the VCDs, fliers, copies of "Nine Commentaries on Communist Party", and more. I would not force them to take anything. I would tell them to remember "Falun Dafa is good!" for it would bring them good luck, and ill luck would turn into good. I would also tell them that what I was doing was really meant for their good and that later on there might be other practitioners who would talk to them about the same thing. I hope they can make a wise decision before the collapse of the CCP. In this way, I laid a good foundation for fellow practitioners who would meet these people later.

I found that during truth-clarification, Teacher helped me to remove a lot of bad things. I also enlightened that this process is actually the process of my cultivation, a process for me to let go of my fear. I also enlightened that only by doing the three things well can we really feel happy and be free of trouble and worries, and only by doing the three things well can things not righteous be rectified. Fellow practitioners, wake up now and find the things you are not doing well! Be diligent and keep up with the Fa-rectification process. Don't miss the opportunity of the ages.
