(Clearwisdom.net) On the afternoon of April 27, 2008, Falun Gong practitioners held an "Anti-Persecution Million Signatures Global Campaign" event at East Gate Circle in Shinchu City, Taiwan. The event aimed to expose the Chinese Communist Party's persecution of Falun Gong and called on the world to help end the persecution.

It was a pleasant day with a mild wind and a clear sky. Residents were already wearing summer clothes in the downtown area. As people passed the area of the East Gate Circle, they heard music and drumming. Curious, many of them came over to have a look.
The Falun Gong practitioners handed out truth-clarification booklets and presented a petition calling for an end to the persecution. The practitioners explained the facts of the persecution in detail while passersby listened intently. After learning the truth, people from all walks of life, including young couples, students, and even foreign visitors, quickly signed the petition.
