Mr. Liu Yongjin of Lingyi, Shandong Province, Taken Away and Interrogated

(Clearwisdom.net) On February 5, 2008, Mr. Liu Yongjin, a Falun Gong practitioner of Lingyi, Shandong Province, was riding his motorbike through Shuitian Station in Lingyi City. Police officers from Lanshan Police Station stopped him for carrying truth clarification VCDs. Mr. Liu was first detained at the Beiyuan Road Police Station and then taken to a brainwashing center in Lingyi. He was recognized by one of the collaborators there. On March 31, he was transferred from the brainwashing center to Lingyi Domestic Security Division. After being arrested, Mr. Liu went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution and was seriously tortured because he refused to tell them where he got the truth clarification materials.

It is uncertain where Liu Yongjin is now being detained. His family went to a brainwashing center, the domestic security division, and Lanshan Court to ask his whereabouts, but got no news about him. It is has been said that Liu Yongjin was sentenced secretly and sent to Jinan Men's Prison. After Mr. Liu was examined, it was determined that he had hepatitis and tuberculosis.
