(Clearwisdom.net) China is escalating its persecution of Falun Gong, claiming that practitioners will disrupt the upcoming Olympic Games. An unprecedented number of practitioners have been arrested throughout China. As a result, some practitioners with strong attachments to fear have hesitated to clarify the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong. In fact, these practitioners have fallen into a trap set by the old forces. The old forces are attempting to ruin and destroy sentient beings by keeping them from learning the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong. When talking to Australian practitioners, Teacher said that we are racing to save sentient beings. How could we allow ourselves to be confused by superficial phenomena and fail to seize the time to save sentient beings?
Lately there have been reports that practitioners are being arrested throughout China. That was bad news. However, Teacher said,
"Whatever you experience during your cultivation--whether good or bad--is good, for it comes about only because you are cultivating." ("To the Chicago Fa Conference")
If we would just accept Teacher's words with all our being and transform our notions, we would be able to turn bad into good.
Let's think about it. There are only a few evil beings left. What they fear most is for us to send forth righteous thoughts in close proximity. Our fellow practitioners may be imprisoned, but that's exactly where the evil stubbornly holds fast. Every Chinese has heard of an episode in the Monkey King where Sun Wukong (Monkey King) makes a ruckus inside the tummy of the evil Princess of the Iron Fan, forcing her to surrender. If those who are incarcerated would think of themselves as Monkey King fighting the Princess of the Iron Fan from inside her tummy and destroy the evil beings from within by continuously sending forth righteous thoughts, the guards taking part in the persecution would encounter instant karmic retribution. Furthermore, all the dark minions, rotten demons, and old force evil elements would be disintegrated, including the Communist evil specter, that are manipulating them and giving them the power to torture practitioners. By doing so, wouldn't those practitioners be turning the bad situation of being imprisoned into a good one?
Some practitioners have thought of sending forth righteous thoughts in close proximity to the evil's den, but the attachment to fear and comfort have stopped them from doing so. Many practitioners have been arrested. It is an opportunity for us to send forth righteous thoughts in close proximity. I hope that every practitioner will seize the opportunity. Once such an opportunity is wasted, it may never come again. I would like to share a personal experience of sending forth righteous thoughts in close proximity where the evil gathered.
In August 2006, I was arrested at a Falun Gong truth-clarification materials production site and taken to a detention center. As every practitioner knows, truth-clarification material sites are a primary target in the persecution. Practitioners arrested at such sites have been given long prison sentences. Over the past few years, several sites have been destroyed. Two practitioners arrested at the sites were each sentenced to eleven years in prison, and another two were sentenced to seven years. Arrested practitioners not connected with such sites were given a minimum of three years in prison.
When I was arrested, I knew I would receive a long prison sentence, so I didn't expect any fair treatment from the prison guards. During my incarceration, I sent forth righteous thoughts around the clock, except when I was sleeping. During the two hours at night when I was on duty, I recited the Fa. At the time, I was not able to practice Falun Gong exercises publicly. I clarified the truth about Falun Gong to the dozens of inmates in my cell. I thought that given the environment, it would be most effective to send forth righteous thoughts in close proximity. I thought of nothing but sending forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil beings in other dimensions. I left everything to be decided by Teacher.
A month later I was released unconditionally. Other practitioners found it rather incredible when I shared my experience. I concluded that the evil beings from other dimensions could not bear it that I sent forth righteous thoughts around the clock in the evil's den and that fellow practitioners outside also sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil beings participating in my persecution. Therefore, the evil beings had to release me unconditionally.
It shows the incredible power of our righteous thoughts in close proximity. I hope that all practitioners who are not imprisoned will deliver the thought to those imprisoned practitioners using their abilities, or inform them when they visit them in prison. Please tell them that they are comparable to Monkey King in the tummy of the wicked Princess of the Iron Fan, and that they are capable of completely eliminating the evil beings while in close proximity. The practitioners who are on the outside should target these detention facilities when they send forth righteous thoughts. With our combined righteous thoughts inside and outside the prisons, the evil beings from other dimensions will be completely annihilated in no time. When the world's people see that those who participate in the persecution of Falun Gong meet with karmic retributions, they will come to their senses, which will improve our ability to save more sentient beings.
