Netherlands: Falun Gong Practitioners Hold Demonstration in the City of Assen (Photos)

On May 17, 2008 Dutch Falun Gong practitioners held a demonstration in the
city of Assen to protest the ongoing persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in
China. Assen is one of the fastest growing cities in Holland's Northern Province of
Drenthe. With banners, flyers, petition forms and exercise demonstration, the
people in Drenthe were informed about the 9-year-long brutal persecution. Signatures were gathered for the "Million Signatures" petition
campaign, demanding that the Chinese communist regime immediately stop its
persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. After seeing the banners
depicting Falun Gong practitioners being persecuted in China, and hearing about
the persecution, many people spontaneously came to the petition table to sign
the petition.
