Staff of a Brainwashing Center in Ziyang City, Sichuan Province, Continues to Persecute Falun Dafa Practitioners

(Clearwisdom.net) Er'e'hu Brainwashing Center in Yingjie Town, Ziyang City, Sichuan Province, is continuing to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. It illegally detains practitioners who refuse to give up their belief. The work units of detained practitioners are forced to pay for their "expenses" in the center. Practitioners' work units are also forced to send staff members to monitor the practitioners around the clock. This center has held many sessions, and over 20 practitioners have been persecuted in each session. Recently, practitioners from Ziyang City were secretly arrested and put in the center.

In May 2008, officers from Ziyang National Security and Anyue National Security arrested Mr. Li Zongrun from Tongxian Town, Anyue County, and put him in Er'e'hu Brainwashing Center.

In June 2008, officers from Ziyang National Security and Anyue County National Security arrested Ms. Liu Guoping of Anyue County from a chicken farm where she worked. Ms. Liu is a retired teacher. She was imprisoned in Nanmusi Forced Labor Camp for a year. In 2007, she was forced to leave her home to avoid further persecution. She worked at a chicken farm to make a living.

At noon on June 4, 2008, officers arrested Ms. Tang from Linfeng Town, Anyue County, when she was having dinner with her family. The officers broke into her house, arrested her, and confiscated her property.

Mr. Li, Ms. Liu, and Ms. Tang are all in Er'e'hu Brainwashing Center.

In June 2006, the city of Ziyang, the Yanjiang District, the 610 Office, and the "Stability Office" spent over two million yuan to construct brainwashing bases and to pay police to follow, monitor, and arrest practitioners.

Last year, several arrests were made. In July and August 2007, police arrested Ms. Jiang Suzhen (Mr. Li Zongrun's wife) of Tongxian Town. On October 2, 2007, the police arrested Ms. Mei Xiuzhen of Longtai Town. On November 12, 2007, the police arrested Mr. Tang Zhaobing in Gaosheng Township. On September 11, 2007, officers from the National Security arrested Ms. Huang Xianlan and took her to Er'e'hu Brainwashing Center. Two female collage students were imprisoned for refusing to denounce Falun Gong. Their current situations are unknown.

Arrested practitioners were locked in separate rooms and not allowed to talk to one another. The staff inside were nice to practitioners when they arrived and invited them to go fishing. The staff would then try to force practitioners to kill the fish or do something against their belief. If practitioners refused, the staff would physically abuse the practitioners and try to force them to denounce Falun Gong.
