Clarify the Truth with Compassion to Better Save Sentient Beings

(Clearwisdom.net) The recent earthquake in China has brought a new test to our cultivation--situations are rapidly changing momentarily. Yet at this time, my mind drifts and my righteous thoughts aren't strong. To completely negate the old forces' arrangements, this requires practitioners to fully participate and study the Fa well.

Facing its complete disintegration, the evil Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is utilizing the earthquake to further incite misunderstanding and hatred of Falun Gong with its lies and slander and is instigating violence to deceive mainland and overseas Chinese. During the grand parade in New York, as those who were fooled by the CCP's propaganda, including the hired thugs and imported spies, made obscene facial and hand gestures and shouted foul language, completely losing their senses, I felt sorry for them.

After the persecution began on July 20, 1999, and especially after the fake self-immolation incident, Chinese people in Chinatown became indifferent and gave practitioners' cold stares as we handed out truth-clarification materials. However, after diligently clarifying the truth for the last several years, a good number of people have come to understand the truth. This is particularly so after the publication of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, turning the overall situation around--where the evil is now on the defensive. Yet, as long as the evil still exists, it will continue to persecute Falun Gong. Whenever an incident occurs, as Dafa practitioners, we should look within to see how we react. Aren't these basic tests on the road toward the completion of cultivation?

The difference between the persecution of Falun Gong early on and today is that, although the current situation looks very vicious, there are people who openly support Falun Gong and are indignant about what is going on.

As for those who are on the side of the hooligans, we, as practitioners, shouldn't draw a conclusion, as it's our responsibility to save people. In Los Angeles, when the CCP held their Olympic Torch activities, some Chinese people were angry at practitioners for handing out truth clarification flyers--one Chinese shouted at me insanely. I remained peaceful and felt compassion for him. A few minutes later, he completely changed his attitude and became friendly. He also tried to stop his friends from causing more fuss.

In dealing with complicated situations, let us remember what Teacher said:

"Although they have found several dozen deceivers--dregs of humanity--to put on this disgraceful act, just by having your heart unaffected you will be able to handle all situations." ("Eliminate Your Last Attachment(s)" from Essentials for Further Advancement II)

And at the same, we must not forget,

"In the magnificent, grand feats of validating the Fa with rationality, clarifying the truth with wisdom, and spreading the Fa and saving people with mercy." ("The Disciples' Magnificence" from Essentials for Further Advancement II)

Let us all solidify our righteous thoughts to completely disintegrate the evil.
