(Clearwisdom.net) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 29 cities or counties and 14 provinces. In this report, 12 practitioners were subjected to brutal mistreatment during their detention, and at least 49 practitioners were illegally arrested.

At around 10 p.m. on June 12, police from Qianjin Police Department in Chaoyang City, together with more than 10 people from Linhe community, broke into the home of practitioner Ms. Wu Rongjie. They released tear gas, causing Wu Rongjie to lose consciousness, and forcefully dragged away Wu Rongjie and her son.

Mr. Gao Weixi, Ms. Wang Fuxia, Mr. Shi Guoliang and Ms. Yang Defang were illegally sentenced by the Nanguan District Court in Changchun City. Gao Weixi and Yang Defang were sentenced to 7 years in prison. Wang Fuxia and Shi Guoliang were sentenced to 9 years in prison. They are currently detained in the No. 3 Detention Station in Changchun City.

4. [Linhai City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Ren Guixia Sentenced to 3 Years in Prison

Ms. Ren Guixia from Linhai City was illegally sentenced to 3 years in prison. She was taken to the Women's Prison in Liaoning Province on June 1.

On June 5, Mr. Wu Wenfeng from Youhao District in Yichun City was arrested in a senior's home by policemen from Xinjieji Police Station. He is currently detained in the Shangganlin Detention Station.

On May 20, Ms. Liu Yufen, in her 50's, was arrested in her daughter's home by policemen from the Mushihe Police Station in Jiutai City. Policemen took away her cell phone and MP3 player. Liu Yufen is currently detained in Heizuizi Labor Camp and under persecution.

At around 9 p.m., May 8, Mr. Zuo Gang, Ms. Song Yanjin and Ms. Yu He, from Daowai District in Haerbin City, were arrested. They are currently detained in the No. 4 Detention Station of Longjiang County Detention Station.

In June 2008, Ms. Zhang Yanju from Dahuang Township, Panshan County was arrested by police from Muniu Township Police Station in Xiuyan County and taken to a detention station. At the same time, Ms. Guo Xianlin also was arrested.

On the night of January 3, 2008, Ms. Dong Xilan, wife of a soldier of the No. 914 division, and Ms. Wan Yumei, wife of a soldier of No. 202 division in Shijingshan District were arrested by police.

Dr. Zheng Xujun was sentenced to 2 years of labor re-education after he was arrested in Changping. He was transferred to Masanjia Labor Camp.

On June 11, 2008, Ms. Zhao Huaichun, a practitioner from Jingouhe, was arrested by police at her home.

Ms. Liu Yuzhen, arrested on June 8, is currently detained in the Fushun Detention Station.

On May 14, Ms. Cai Xiuzhi from Sanshilipu, Liuhaizi Township in Linqing City, was arrested by staff from the Domestic Security Division of the 610 Office in Linqin and the Liuhaizi Township Police Station. Currently, she is still detained in the Linqing Detention Station and is suffering persecution.

On June 5, 2008, Mr. Guo Xili, Ms. Feng Qiye and Ms. Lu Zengfang from Xixusong village, Jiayue Township, Zhucheng City in Shandong Province, was forcefully arrested by police from the Jieyue Township Police Station. They are currently detained in the Zhucheng City Detention Station and under persecution.

On June 9, Ms. Jiao Jinhua was arrested by police from the 610 office of Xinhua District and sent to a brainwashing class in a reception house in an agriculture research institute in the province.

At around 5 p.m. on June 4, 6-7 plainclothes police officers from the Domestic Security Section of Laizhou City pushed Ms. Zhai Qier's husband, who was on his way home, onto the ground. They grabbed his house key, broke into the home of Zhai Qier, arrested her, and took away her Dafa books.

In June 2008, staff from the 610 Office in Anqiu arrested Mr. Chu Junhong from Liujiayao Township and ransacked his home.

On June 4, staff from the Domestic Security Section of Wendeng City and Zhangjiachan Police Station broke into the home of Ms. Zhang Yingmiao and took her MP3 player and Dafa books.

On June 2, 5-6 policemen broke into the home of Ms. Cong Lei. They forcefully arrested her and ransacked her home. Cong Lei is currently detained in the Police Department of Moupin District.

On June 7, Ms. Li Yulan and Ms. Wan Peipei were arrested while distributing truth-clarifying materials. Their current situation remains unknown.

On June 6, Mr. Yan Haidong from Yian Township in Laishui County was arrested.

At around 10 a.m. on June 11, Ms. Guo Mei from Gucheng Township in Dingxin County, was arrested by police from the Domestic Security Section of the Police Department of Dingxin County and sent to the Dingxin County Detention Station. Her satellite TV receiver and TV set were also confiscated.

On the morning of June 11, Ms. Zhang Hanmei, Ms. Cong Zhaoer, and Ms. Xiao Ding from Wei County were arrested by police from the Domestic Security Section of Wei County. Their homes were also ransacked. Zhang Hanmei was later released, but the other two practitioners were sent to the Zhangjiakou Detention Station on the afternoon of June 12.

On the night of June 11, Ms. Liu Xiaoling, Ms. Qin Pengzhen, Ms. Yang Zi, Ms. Zhao Yufang and Mr. Guo (a non-practitioner) from Tanghai County were arrested by police when they were distributing truth-clarification materials in Ruannan County. Liu Xiaoling's home was ransacked.

Mr. He Yunshu, from Hezuo Street Community District in Shijiazhuang City, was arrested by the residential committee of Guangyuan Street. He is currently detained in the No.4 prison of Beijiao Labor Camp.

At around 8 p.m. on June 11, Ms. Zheng Aiju, from Wangchang Township, Zaoqiang County in Hebei Province, was arrested by police from the Domestic Security Section of the Police Department of Hengshui City.

On June 7, Ms. Han Jinhuan, Ms.Yang and Ms. Guo Zhenghua were arrested by staff from the Domestic Security Section and their homes ransacked. They were sent to the Zhangjiakou Detention Station.

Around June 10, policemen from the Zhongjianhe Police Station in Xinhualin District, Taiyuan City, arrested Mr. Li Xifu in his home.

During the night of June 11, 2008, policemen from the Qiaotou Police Station in Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province, broke into Ms. Liu Caihong's home and arrested her.

In June 2007, Ms. Hu Fangju, from Xiushui, Jiangxi, was reported to the authorities by Chen Xiaolin, the vice bureau chief of the Political and Judiciary Committee of the Xiushui Police Department. Consequently, she was arrested and is currently detained in the Women's Prison of Jiangxi. She was allowed only between one and two hours of sleep each night. The maltreatment rendered Hu Fangju extremely thin, and both of her feet were swollen.

On May 22, 2008, practitioners Ms. Sun Linbo and Ms. Wang Xiulan from Zhengzhou City were arrested. On June 6, they were sent to the No. 2 Detention Station for persecution.

On May 28, Ms. Tang Shaoqing from Yuexiu District, Guangzhou City went to take care of her sick mother in Liwan District. She is 57 years old and lives in the staff dorm of Zhongshan Medical School in Nonglin Street District. She was arrested while distributing truth-clarifying materials in nearby streets.

On April 27, Ms. Zhang Ruilin from Akesu City was arrested while clarifying the truth in a rail station. She was taken to the Akesu City Detention Station in Xinjiang. On June 10, Zhang Ruilin was sentenced to 1 year and 9 months of "re-education" in a forced labor camp.

At around 10 a.m., June 12, 2008, Ms. Yang Shumin from Duolun County was arrested in her home by police, who also ransacked her home. Ms. Zhou Yanhua, Mr. Yang Laowu Ms. Xiao Guanglan, and others were arrested while studying the Fa at the home of Zhou Yanhua.

On June 11, 2008, practitioners from Mianning County, Liangshan Region in Sichuan Province, Mr. Lu Wenhai (83 years old), Ms. Deng Tianmei (84 years old), Mr. Shang Qinglin (disabled) and Ms. Lu Xiaohong were arrested by police. On the afternoon of June 12, several policemen from Chengguan Police Station in Mianning City ransacked the home of Ms. Xu Xiaoxian and forcefully arrested Xu Xiaoxian. Currently, they are all detained in the Mianning Detention Station.

On the morning of June 11, 2008, police from Shiyan City searched the home of Mr. Yao Jiang and arrested him. Yao Jiang is currently being forced to undergo brainwashing sessions.

On the afternoon of June 10, 2008, Ms. Yan Chengyu (around age 70) from Jiangbei District, Congqing City was arrested by the Domestic Security Section of the Police Department of Jiangbei District. Her current situation remains unknown.

On June 12, 2008, police from the Domestic Security Section of Zunyi County ransacked the home of Ms. Gao Qiying and took away all of her truth-clarification materials, two computers and two printers.
