I Openly Walked Out of the Demon's Den
By a practitioner in Dalian City, Liaoning Province
(Clearwisdom.net) I was arrested on March 30, 2008 while distributing
truth clarification materials near Xiangyi Street. With my righteous
belief in Teacher and Dafa as well as fellow practitioners' support, I openly
walked out of the demon's den on April 6. On March 30, while on Xiangyi Street, I talked with three high school
students about the goodness of Dafa and the "three withdrawals." One
of them wanted to hear more from me, but was pulled away by the other two
students. I had a feeling that they would report me to the local authorities. I
should have left the area and walked in the opposite direction from that of the
students. Instead I walked in the same direction as they had. On the way, I met
an elderly person and talked with him about withdrawing from the communist
party, but he didn't want to. Later on, two people approached me. They asked me
what I had said to the students that made them scared and run away. I started to
talk about the persecution of Falun Gong. While I was talking, I didn't notice
that one of them had walked away. Just as I turned to look for him, a police car
from the Xianglujiao Police Station pulled up next to me. Both me and the person
I was talking with were put into the police car and driven to the police
station. At the police station, I told people that Falun Dafa is good and that
persecuting Falun Gong is committing a crime. Other than that, I refused to
answer any of their questions. They tried to take my picture, but with my
righteous thoughts, the camera didn't work. The police officers were puzzled.
Then they handcuffed my hands behind my back, took my work ID and the keys to my
house. The police went to my home, ransacked the place, and confiscated all of
the Dafa books I had. Later, the police officers transferred me to Jinjia Street Drug
Rehabilitation Center. The guard there tried to force me to wear a prison vest
and to do physical labor, but I firmly refused his demands. At around 9 a.m. on
the second day, my younger sister came to see me. The guard refused to let her
see me and said that it was because I refused to wear the vest. Later my husband
came to visit me. While I was walking down the stairs, I saw that my husband was
holding the vest. The guards had coerced my husband into trying to persuade me
to wear the vest, but I refused. On the third day, I said to Teacher in my heart that I realized that the
loopholes in my cultivation were being taken advantage of by the evil. I asked
Teacher to please give me a hint as to how I could leave this place. Right then,
a message came into my mind: "Say "Falun Dafa is good", only by
doing this can you leave here, no other way will do." At the same time, I
realized that I should go on a hunger strike to protest the persecution I was
experiencing. Sometimes it is easy to understand what I should do, but it is hard to carry
out the action. Under that kind of evil environment, it demanded a lot effort
for a practitioner to loudly cry out "Falun Dafa is good." But at
least I did refuse to consume both food and water. I did not swallow a tiny drop
of water even when I brushed my teeth. One day, the head of the rehab center
warned me not to be extreme, and not to say "Falun Dafa is good,"
otherwise he would send me to the notorious Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. On the last day of the three-day Qingming Festival, I became resolute in my
mind. Holding on to the iron bars on the window, I shouted with all my strength,
"Falun Dafa is good!" I kept shouting it louder and louder. I did this
during the visitation time. Many people ran to the open area and looked in my
direction. The police officers became very nervous. Several of them used force
to drag me back to the cell. However, I continued to shout. The next day after I shouted "Falun Dafa is good," the officers
sent me home. Later, I learned that fellow practitioners had sent righteous
thoughts for me after I was arrested. My younger sister and mother went to the
rehab center every day to ask for my release. My mom is over 80 and unable to
walk very far, so my younger sister carried our mother on her back to the rehab
center every day. Thank you Master, and thank you fellow practitioners. |
