The Despicable Conduct of the Police in Kouqian Town, Yongji County, Jilin Province

(Clearwisdom.net) As the 2008 Beijing Olympics approach, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is intensifying its persecution of peaceful Falun Gong practitioners. The Party claims this is necessary to ensure "a successful Olympics." Party officials such as the director of the 610 Office of Yongji County Li Liansen, the Party Secretary of the Political and Judiciary Committee Yang Shuhuai, the Chief of Yongji County Police Department Wang Wei, the Heads of the "National Security Group" Wang Shuxiang and Li Shixun, the Chief of Chengnan Police Station Qu Yinghui, and the Political Leader of the Station Chi head up several dozen police officers to closely follow orders from the Central Committee of the CCP. In the beginning of March 2008, they arrested two teachers from Beidahu Town Primary School, Ms. Wang Jing and Xu Qing. They deceived Ms. Wang Jing by telling her that they would pay her salary while she was detained in a forced labor camp and then arrested her. She has been detained for more than two months, and family visits are not allowed. In the last ten days of April, more practitioners were harassed.

The CCP ordered Fei Wei and Zhao, the community staff members of "the No. 1 Branch of Sinohydro Engineering Bureau," to visit practitioners' homes to check and see if they were at home, and to collect their telephone and ID card numbers. On the morning of April 25, 2008, led by the Heads of the Security for the No. 1 Branch of Sinohydro Engineering Bureau Wang Yan and Zhang Hongtao, several dozen policemen from the National Security Group of Yongji County and the Chengnan Police Station illegally arrested several practitioners.

This time, the policemen arrested 80-year-old economics analyst Mr. Cai Dingxun and his wife Ms. Qu Guiqin. Mr. Cai was a Falun Gong practitioner previously. He has now been released. The policemen also arrested Ms. Jiang Bo and her daughter Liu Zhongxin, Wang Jiru (now released ), Ms. Wang Yanzhen, and Zheng Qingzhi.

Ms. Wang Yangzhen's husband has had a stroke and cannot take care of himself. Zheng Qingzhi's son just started middle school. During the arrests, a locksmith was brought in to open the doors of Jiang Bo and Zheng Qinqzhi, and then their homes were ransacked. They even replaced the door lock on Ms. Jiang Bo's home, so that her family members could not enter their own home. They took away Falun Gong books, truth-clarifying materials, photos of Master Li, a TV, a video player, a stereo, a cell phone, and several thousand yuan in cash.
