Mr. Yang Xiyao from Yanshan County, Hebei Province Illegally Detained in Prison

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Yang Xiyao, 68, resides in Yanshan County, Hebei Province. Before he practiced Falun Gong, he suffered from pleurisy, pulmonary emphysema and stomach ulcers. After he started practicing Falun Gong in 1995, he soon began to regain his health.

In 2000, Mr. Yang was arrested while he was validating Dafa. He was sentenced to ten years of imprisonment in Baoding Prison, Hebei Province. Mr. Yang was tortured so severely by the National Security Team at the Yanshan County Police Department and at Baoding Prison that he began to experience heart palpitations and vomit blood and he developed high blood pressure. Only when he was close to death in January 2006 was he released on bail for medical treatment.

After Mr. Yang returned home, he again began to practice Falun Gong and study the book, Zhuan Falun. As a result, he became healthy again very quickly. However, police officers from the National Security Department at the Yanshan County Police Station constantly harassed and threatened him. Baoding Prison also sent agents to monitor Mr. Yang or mailed him questionnaires as a means to control him. The prison officials threatened that if he didn't give up practicing Falun Gong, they would arrest him again.

On April 21, 2008, Zhang Xinping from the National Security Department at the Yanshan County Police Station, and Zhao Guolin from the Wangshu Township Police Substation broke into Mr. Yang's house and after searching through all his belongings, took away his copy of the book Zhuan Falun. On May 20, the same two men, together with Liu Zhenming, arrested Mr. Yang and sent him back to Baoding Prison.
