Several Falun Gong Practitioners Illegally Arrested in Lanxi County, Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province

(Clearwisdom.net) On March 17, 2008, about five police officers from the Lanxi County Public Security Bureau in Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province, including Zhao Qingxue, illegally arrested Falun Gong practitioner Li Shuhua at Li's home. They confiscated Li Shuhua's house key and entered the house when no one was home and stole a computer, two cars filled with items, and 12,000 yuan.

On March 20 of 2008, Zhao Qingxue and several police officers arrested Falun Gong practitioner Shi Shaojun from his father-in-law's house and took him to Lanxi Detention Center. The detention center is demanding money for his release. Shi Shaojun, in his thirties or forties, lives in Lanxi County. His family is very poor and is in debt. Mr. Shi Shaojun drives a three-wheeler day and night to earn money. He is the only source of income for his family. Now that Mr. Shi is imprisoned in the detention center, there is no one to take care of his wife and children.

A few days later, Zhao Qingxue and several other police officers arrested another Falun Gong practitioner, Ms. Sun Yuhong and detained her in the Lanxi Detention Center. They set bail at 5,000 yuan for her release, but her family did not have the money. Later, the officers imprisoned Ms. Sun Yuhong in the Lanxi Detention Center.

There were several other Falun Gong practitioners illegally sentenced and their property confiscated.
