WOIPFG Submits Investigative Report on the Control of Overseas Chinese by the Chinese Communist Regime to U.S. Congress

(Clearwisdom.net) On June 5, the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG) submitted a report to the U.S. Congress, providing evidence of the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) control of overseas Chinese and implementation of a "global united front work strategy." The report states that the assaults against Falun Gong practitioners in Flushing, New York, is part of the evidence.

Since May 17, 2008, there have been large-scale attacks and harassment against Falun Gong practitioners in Flushing, New York. The assaults still continue. WOIPFG conducted an investigation into the causes behind the recent spate of attacks. The report states that the record of a phone conversation between a WOIPFG investigator and the Chinese Consul General, Peng Keyu, shows that the Flushing assaults are directed by the Chinese Consulate in New York. The CCP's media and Chinese Department of Foreign Affairs did not deny the phone conversation record after it was publicized. The websites of the Chinese Consulate in New York and other Chinese media have since deleted audio files of Peng's previous speeches.

The WOIPFG report pointed out that over the last year, CCP-directed assaults against Falun Gong have occurred in Argentina, San Francisco, Australia and Hong Kong. Recently, the CCP used the earthquake in China to incite hatred against Falun Gong and directed the assaults in Flushing.

The CCP manipulates overseas Chinese people's love of China and confuses the concept of the country of China with the Chinese Communist Party. A few days before the assaults in Flushing, the WOIPFG published a report titled, "Investigative Report on the Control of Overseas Chinese and the Implementation of Global United Front Work Strategy by the Chinese Communist Regime." The report has been posted on many websites which are not controlled by the CCP. The reports exposed the CCP's control of overseas Chinese from many angles, including brainwashing, propaganda, financial control and so on.

The WOIPFG pointed out that even though the Chinese Communist's activities related to "overseas Chinese affairs" were not conducted in the usual Communist organizational forms, such political alliances formed overseas under the driving force of the Chinese Communist regime, with the purpose of "organizing work for Chinese immigrants, overseas Chinese and its social organizations" are very similar to the "Third Communist International" formed by the Soviet Communists. Their purpose was to seek out representatives and to establish Communist branch offices in various countries. Such efforts directly establish and nurture Chinese Communist influence inside the belly of other nations.

The report revealed that the CCP controls most overseas Chinese media to different degrees. The CCP also regularly trains leaders within the overseas Chinese communities. This is not a secret in the overseas Chinese community, but the governments of those hosting countries have not paid enough attention to it.

The report reminded the international community that overseas Chinese patriotism was exploited by the CCP during the Beijing Olympic Torch Relay, and the riots in San Francisco, Canberra and Seoul showed how much and how efficiently the CCP controls the overseas Chinese people. The report pointed out that since the governments of the U.S.A., Australia and Korea didn't take action in response to those riots, the CCP was encouraged and organized and directed the assaults in Flushing.
