Gothenburg, Sweden: Activity Held to Support Chinese People Renouncing the CCP (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On June 30 and July 1, 2008, as the number of the Chinese people withdrawing from the CCP approached 40 million, Northern European Falun Gong practitioners and volunteers of the Quit the CCP Center gathered in front of Gothenburg City Hall in Sweden to support the 39 million Chinese people withdrawing from CCP. Besides local volunteers and Falun Gong practitioners, practitioners from other cities of Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Poland, and Latvia also came to support these activities. They held up banners reading "Northern European Quit the CCP Service Center," "The Roots of the CCP Have Been Pulled Out," "Withdraw from the CCP to Dissolve the CCP," and Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party to tell people that the wave of quitting the CCP was unstoppable. The Chinese people are awakening. As heaven will soon eliminate the CCP, withdrawing from all the organizations of the CCP is the right choice for the Chinese people, and only by doing so can they really be saved.

Several Western volunteer workers from the Quit the CCP Service Center explained to passersby what it meant to quit the CCP, why it was so important and the current status of this ongoing campaign. Anders, a Falun Gong practitioner and a singer-songwriter of songs against the persecution and for quitting the CCP, sang his songs at the event. People coming and going watched the eye-catching banners, viewed the exhibition board, listened to the songs and the truth-clarification and accepted the leaflets.

When two western ladies walked by the banner reading "Support the 39 Million Chinese Quitting the CCP," they gave the V hand gesture, saying, "Great Chinese."

After accepting the flyers, some read them immediately, while other viewed the display boards thoroughly. When some asked for more information, practitioners gave them the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, which they gladly accepted.

A group of high school students happily received the flyers from a practitioner, Ms. Jiang. One of them asked her about the meaning of "Tui Dang." Ms. Jiang replied with a thorough explanation and gave her a copy of the Nine Commentaries.

As soon as Ms. Jiang sat on a bench, a Swedish lady asked her about meaning of the characters on the banners. After Ms. Jiang's explanation, this lady said she had viewed the exhibition board the previous day, which revealed stories about children suffering persecution in China. This lady learned the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong last summer. She knew about the Sichuan earthquake and had donated money. Ms. Jiang told her that due to corruption within the CCP, defective construction caused a lot of casualties among students. Most of them were the family's only children. She pointed at her daughter, saying that her daughter could grow up in a peaceful environment, but this would not be the case for children in China.

There were not many Chinese passing by the site that day, but with the help of volunteers from Northern European Quit the CCP Service Center, two of them quit the CCP and three more withdrew from the Young Pioneers League.
